Hello Wild Ones it's the summer hols here in UK so I'm editing at a bit of a slower rate for the next few weeks but I have a crazy/beautiful 3-night adventure filmed and on the editing pile 😍Can't wait to get started on it next month. Hope you're all good and having a lovely summer (..been a bit drab so far eh!) Much Love 🌿🐻 CB
Her videos are a blessing to me and when I watch one of her videos where she's trying different camping methods and her mood is always cheerful it cheers me up also.
This was a lovely one, and that tarp configuration is really nice. Whether you're battling back home from 100 miles away or just enjoying the woods your videos are a joy. Thank you.
For me. That was your best video, That should inspire a parent to take their young kid into the woods and copy what you’ve just done with some small branches and a small/medium tarp 👍
I love your videos. One of my favorite things is to watch videos about people bushcrafting, primitive camping, and especially tarp camping. I have done a lot of solo bike touring and backpacking with tarps. If I am having trouble getting to sleep at night I often think about some tarp camping video like this one to calm down. Last night, I had terrible nightmares. My gf was away working, and I was more than a little worried about some health issues I have. I am a 62 yo guy in Texas, but thinking about some of your tarp adventures put me to sleep like a baby. Thank you, Claire! You do more good than you can possibly know.
True true. A fellow Texan here. 59. And I have committed the 3m x 3m single tarp tent to memory. I like it better. More solid ground and wind coverage. Truely a simple tent and better than 99% of the stuff you see. Incrediable simple and easy to set up. 😊
…at 60 and just getting into backpacking. It’s great you guys have had those amazing experiences. I look forward to (hopefully) having my own adventures! Her videos are definitely inspiring!
Ahh hope tonight is a better one for you 🤗 thank you so much for the kind words, when I was going through tough times I used to watch Joe Robinet and Dixie (Homemade Wanderust), they bought me a lot of calm so it means a lot to me to be able to do the same for you. Hope all will be ok friend 🌿🏕

Aw thank you. Well I'm just fiddling about really, I enjoy it and know some basics :) the more technical things like knots I keep trying to teach myself but they fall out of my brain again soon after haha! Have a lovely weekend 🏕
@@WildBeare Hi Claire, I'm an ex-Royal Navy sailor and, being left-handed, always had trouble learning knots and such, because I was always 'the wrong way round' I found the best way was to just take the teaching as a starting point, figure out how 'my way' worked and build muscle memory by practicing. I still have bits of cordage around and practice, as it's a skill that can degrade and I looove the outdoors and hiking, so it's a skill worth keeping. Great vid and keep on keeping on!
You should do a little wild cooking video. Some great recipes cooked on a stove. I love camping in the woods. Especially if it’s a little windy. The wind through the tree’s sounds amazing. Calming even. My tarp is a bit big. I need to get a smaller one for the one night out trips. Video looks great as always Claire. Still watching it. 😁🏕️🏕️
Thank you Claire for sharing your romantic dinner with the small light and yummy food. You did a great job putting everything together for this camp. Have a wonderful time and stay safe.
Your videos inspired us to go camping for a few days with the kids for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Not quite as wild camping as you but nights spent in a tent all the same. The kids loved every minute.

That was a fun looking tarp setup. Looks like a Pup Tent. In the Army we used shelter half pup tents with no floor. Each guy would be issued one half of a tent that would snap together at the top edge. Together they are about the size you had but the front and rear ends had flaps to close up. Always setting them so our heads were uphill. If rain was likely we dug a small trench along each side and rear edge of the canvas then had the trench lead away from the tent and downhill. We learned very quick how to keep dry after waking up laying in a few inches of water a time or two😅. Thanks for sharing!
Love those lanterns...I have three of them...they make another type, thats much more fragile...these ones are awesome. How lovely to capture the deer like that. The curry looked really tasty
