In 1982 my parents and I were in Point Pleasant Seaside Heights when a cousin of mine had a wedding there. I know she also lived in Barnegat, NJ. In the 1950's, when I was young, my parents and I would go to Longport, near lands end, below Margate Ventnor, and the trolly line ended there. A lady who we knew from our store in NY then,, who was elderly, had a beach house down there, which looked like the 1920's inside, that we stayed at. Most of the people from the nearby houses built later, were from the Philadelphia area. I last took my Mother back there in 1992, and the trolly had been replaced with buses. Lucy, the landmark Elephant was up the road from there. There a deli type store back in the 1950's called Ozzies. 😊
I love Seaside Heights. I've been going there since I was a kid in the early 2000's and my dad has been going there since he was a kid in the 1970's. It did get overcrowded when the 'Jersey Shore' TV show was filming there but it has gone back to what I remember it was before the show.

Great to see pitman gets some love, it has a really nice Main Street and the grove gives it its unique look.
Also TH-camr Alan fisher gave it gave pitman a shoutout to give it some attention so that’s great to see.
