I think it's still amusing that you call Wind Crowrang "Goth Storm Eagle" when, as it turns out, you haven't realized you could have been calling him _Storm Emo_
I love hearing his opinions and non opinions on the megaman game series. something is just very appealing about the way he talks and his videos can actually be pretty helpful for the megaman games i haven't played or started to play. Thank you for making these videos.
Technically, you could argue that Magma Dragoon is the easiest in X4, simply because you can take a ride armor into his battle and defeat him while basically being invincible, if you kill him before he destroys the armor.
While X3 itself isn't super difficult, X3 has the hardest Sigma fight imo. Without the Gold Armor and or Zeros Saber, Kaiser Sigma is extremely difficult (mainly due to the small head hitbox....and not to mention the horrible escape part afterwards).
I've managed to beat Kaiser sigma on a pentium 200 MMX on windows 98se using SNES9X 1.39 with 20fps.. and I didn't know about gold armour let alone a z saber
@@adventureoflinkmk2 I've pulled it off once without the Gold Armor or the Z Saber. Had to use all my sub tanks though. I've never played on a snes emulator but I do have the x legacy collection on Steam.
I hate Captain America Sigma too if you get hit by his shield when he throws it, it really hurts, hitting him is also a challenge too since he barely leaves himself open except for when he jumps in the air, spinning blade weapon sucks to hit things with, its an unorthodox weapon, some of the X3 weapons in general aren’t that fun to mess around with and charge up but that’s a video idea for Tooterp if he reads this comment.
If you really love messing with Crystal Snail, try putting one mine on the wall before hitting him with one. When he gets blasted out of his shell, he'll take damage from the other mine when he hits the wall.
I think, the best way to declare the easiest boss is as follows: 1. Can easily be killed using a normal buster and not using any weakness. 2. Battle pattern is pretty much observable 3. Boss room stage layout And 4. Time wasted to beat the boss With this description, you can easily define who really is the easiest boss.
It's odd; I've finished the first 3 X games, but they were all easy to deal with eventually. Turns out going Maverick might limit your combative moveset, so I honestly think it's interesting what some of them can do. Snail, Tiger, Beetle, even freakin' Stag to a degree. I mean, they're still a little challenging, but man...if I told myself as a kid I could get monumentally better, I'd have kept pressing past Penguin at age 6. Nowadays, I'm definitely feared by Sigma. As soon as I can, I'll be booting up and clearing X4 and X5, maybe even X6. I want to finish my childhood and laugh in the face of death. Unlimited potential is still something we all have and now it's my time to shine.
Really? Interesting. I was really good at taking out Axl The Red as a kid. I think only Grizzly Slash sometimes and maybe Izzy Glow, but...dang, I'm surprised you found Ol' Spiky to be hard!
I died to Storm Eagle. I tried to beat the bosses without the dash and beating Eagle is 100% luck based without the boots. His Storm Tornado pushes you too far back and it if comes right after he passes wind at you, you're falling off the stage. This was nerfed in Maverick Hunter X though, so it is possible there with no dash.
Nah the trick is stay close enough to Storm Eagle but don’t let him corner you close to a ledge, if you’re in a good position the moment he tries to block you back start walking towards him. I was able to beat him, no leg upgrade or weakness, it takes skill and patience.
For me , Armadillo is easy , just spam your lemon and dodge his rolling attack . 😁👍🏻 For an idea, how about the bosses that give you a lot of benefit if you defeat them early. ( great weapon for attack or utility use to get upgrade part , great effect to altered other boss stage )
In my opinion, Armored Armadillo is honestly overrated with how many people claim him to be a difficult boss. If you are going to fight him buster only, you should really refrain from using charged shots, as not only are the not ever dealing any more damage than your uncharged lemons, but you're also giving him a chance to use one of his other attacks, so you're only making him harder for no good reason by resorting to trying to use charged shots
I did a challenge run and beat AA with no leg upgrade or weakness, you just gotta pay close attention to his movements, sneak in charge shots if you can.
Yeah, I also recommend rapid-firing, since he'll absorb Charged Shots and send a shockwave. That is, unless you send out a charged Electric Spark back as your _own_ shockwave.
7:33 problem with megaman X3 bosses is they gave the bosses easy and predictable patterns then decided to compensate for that by making their attacks do so much damage that you almost instantly die if they touch you. Annoying is how I'd describe them not difficult.
im just gonna do my list (subscribed) X1:Chill penguin X2:Morph moth X3:Neon tiger X4:Cyber peacock X5:Izzy glow X6:Shield sheldon X7:Tornado tonion X8:Giga bolt-man-o-war
Nice selections; I had a knee-jerk reaction to say "Wire Sponge is the easiest in X2," but after I thought about it some more, I think you have a point with Flame Stag. And I know this isn't the point of the video, but you mentioning the sentiment that X3 is less memorable than X1 or X2 caught my attention enough that I wanted to put something out there as someone who is quite fond of X3: it doesn't have any aesthetic 'pop'. The soundtracks X1 and X2 are not just very high quality, but the tracks differentiate themselves from each other clearly--especially in X1. X3, on the other hand, has enjoyable tracks, but they're not terribly distinct. The same could be said for the stage visuals of X1 and X2 versus those of X3. The end result is that while anyone who plays X1 or X2 will have very vivid memories of the whole experience of any given stage which are unmistakable for one another, you could mix-and-match X3 stages and tracks or even swap out certain rooms between stages and it wouldn't be all that jarring. Given how much our passive memory depends on contrast, that seems like a plausible explanation to me. Thoughts?
I would say chill penguin for the first one because for most people he’s the first one that people will go to so they can get the leg upgrade right away, therefore would have the most practice on.
Here is my pick for the easiest Maverick of each game. Also it's without their weakness because weaknesses aren't for real pros: X1: Chill Penguin X2: Flame Stag X3: Blizzard Buffalo X4: Frost Walrus X5: Crescent Grizzly/Grizzly Slash X6: Ground Scaravich (Commander Yanmark was stupidly close though) X7: Tornado Tonion X8: Earthrock Thryllobite. Very close to having the same ranking
Actually Flame Mammoth is the easiest in X1. There is a sweetspot right under his arm you can stand and Buster away while he shoot over your head. The only damage you take is when reaching a wall and getting pushed in his hitbox
I think Boomer Kuwanger is one of the easier mavericks in X1 without the weakness. Chill Penguin is the easiest though. Also Spark Mandrill is like the hardest without a weakness, because entering the fight without his weakness implies fighting him without the dash, which is some extra difficulty.
yeah, I beat Boomer Kuwanger with armored armadillo thingy, and the copy of freeze cracker, well actually, mm7 came out after X, so anyways, I beat him with those 2 weapons
I challenged myself and managed to beat Spark Mandrill without his weakness and leg upgrade, charge shots can knock him back a bit, Chip damage from lemons also work too. Sometimes he’ll climb on the electrical wires on the ceiling, stomp the ground with spark shots or dash punch you, you just gotta react fast enough and keep your distance.
@@brandonwilliams6119 I also managed to beat him in my "Get the leg upgrade last" challenge. My trick is that before you release your chargeshot, you wait until he does his dash punch. This will make him flinch before he attacks you.
Chill Penguin is a must for any newcomer starting the X series. I’d say either Overdrive Ostrich, Wire Sponge or Flame Stag are easy (Buster only). Blizzard Buffalo is hilarious if you know a secret glitch where you upward dash near him while , he’ll keep trying to escape the room lol. Frost Walrus, another Ice Themed Boss who is laughably easy, need I say more? Crescent Grizzly is very slow and easy to dodge. Commander Yammark, Blizzard Wolfang and lmao Ground Scaravich I love how you joked about him being a literal Dung Beetle and doing Dung Beetle things. Soldier Stonekong is easy for me because if you’re Axl or X you’ll auto aim if you’re close enough while he climbs on the wall but yeah Ride Boarski and Tornado Tonion are easier. Dark Mantis is pretty easy too if you’re not too careless, so it Gigavolt Man o War. But sheesh yet another Ice Themed Boss that’s easier in Avalanche Yeti. X9 really needs a challenging Ice Themed Boss now that I think about it.
perfect video easy to follow, glad we got this one, i wonder i we will ever get a Vile based list, I know why it would be hard but it could be cool, anyway it's his series, not ours, he'll decide what he wants to cover, and more power to him
And his weapon is crucial for getting certain items, eliminating stage revisits (the only _really_ necessary one being Dragoon's stage itself). Same thing for Tunnel Rhino in X3, the Tornado Fang is crucial for the item game.
IMO Chill Penguin is one of the best designed Mavericks in the series; he's easy, but he's not like Frost Walrus or Blizzard Buffalo in that he just has a stupid pattern, he's still actually fun to fight even at high levels. That's really, really hard to do.
If they come out with an X9 or megaman 12 you’re going to have to do a video for each of these subjects for one of those games. So for instance, easiest boss in Megaman X9! 🙂
Here is my personal pick: it’s decently similar (Only 2 has a different answer) and this is based on without their weakness since I’m subscribed and can handle them all 1: Chill Penguin, we all saw this coming 2: Wheel Gator, Sponge and Ostrich were close, but it’s kinda like flame man, it’s stupid easy once you know how to do it, even his M. Bison roll is easy, Bubble Splash is hard to hit imo 3: Blizzard Buffalo, no explanation needed 4: Frost Walrus, Get leg upgrade and you will see why 5: Slash Grizzly, no comment 6: Ground Scaravich, easiest in the whole series as it doesn’t have any time to defend 7: Tonion, stay far away 8: Avalanche Yeti, basically a less punishing Drill Man but snowman themed
I think I died once to Duff McWhalen when I screwed up a jump and got caught between an ice block and the wall… I’ve NEVER died to Slash Grizzly that I can remember.
My list for the X1 maverick difficulty. Hard 8. Boomerang Kuwanger. Hardest to find good timing. He's not the simplest, even with his weakness doing good. 7. Launch octopus. If dive man and magnet man had a baby, it would be him. He's not crazy by any standards. But his attacks due pressure the mind. The biggest issue is that rolling shield is his weakness, like Sigma. Unlike Sigma, you can still hit him on the ground, but the rolling shield is one of, if not the worst, power in the game. 6. Armored Armadillo. Super hard to evade if you're bad a platforming. I didn't have an awful time, but it takes a lot of time if you didn't beat spark mandrill first. 5. Sting Chameleon. Not insanely difficult, but definitely not easy. The only issue I had was never being in range as I took him after launch octopus, not his weakness. But his attacks are much easier to dodge than the prior three. 4. Storm eagle: Hardest of the easy. I ran out of ammo in his boss fight, so I went to reset for some reason. I don't know what told me to do it, I just did. Boy, did I feel stupid. I reset the console, not jumping off the cliff. 3. Spark mandrill. So, I fought him twice. Once without his weakness, once with it. There was a massive difference. It wasn't harder than storm eagle, but still rather tricky. 2. Chill penguin. I only rank him harder than flame mammoth because he has one move that gives protection. HE ALWAYS DOES IT AS SOON AS I FIRE! 1. Flame mammoth. By far, the easiest. He is giant and slow. His attacks can be countered by wall jumps. And the conveyor belt can help you get under him. I went through all of my attacks, one by one, to find his weakness as he was the second to last boss I battled, the last being Kuwanger. By the time I found his weakness, oh look at that, he was one hit away from going down.
Any particular reason why everyone rates the Amadillo so high on the list? He was the second maverick I defeated (first was the eagle guy) and all I did was fire buster shots at it and occasionally dodge his rolling attacks. I tried charge shots at first but quickly got punished but you eventually figure out that he won't block forever(arguably him blocking might not be a bad thing since the knock back pushes him further away giving you more time to dodge his rolling attack). He was kinda hard at first but earning a top spot on the list ks absurd to me.
I died to eagle a lot… because I played this very early on, and I didn’t even know upgrades were a thing. This stuff wasn’t as easy when you only had as long as it took your parents to take the game back to blockbuster to figure it all out.
Saying Crystal Snail and Magna Centipede are relatively easy battles without the weaknesses is a stretch. Those two always gave me more trouble than most.
I literally just fought flame stag, and I agree that he is the easiest, ESPECIALLY with his weakness. I literally just stood in front of him and what moves I didn't tank, I just I-framed through, while using bubble thing every time his I-frames ended.
I feel like MMX7 scars MMX franchise so much that most ppl think MMX8 was very bad. I really think the mavericks design are great, the voice acting are good, the graphics is great with quite good storyline.
If you can time when to fire at the stingrays he shoots at you, Jet Stingray is one of the easiest bosses in the series. Certainly the only one I can no damage buster on a regular basis.
Here are my picks for the easiest boss in each MegaMan X game right here, right now. MMX1-Chill Penguin MMX2-Wire Sponge MMX3-Tunnel Rhino MMX4-Frost Walrus MMX5-Grizzly Slash/Crescent Grizzly MMX6-Commander Yammark MMX7-Soldier Stonekong MMX8-Bamboo Pandamonium
I'm down to watch whatever you posting bro... but am I too Xtreme for beating all of the X series... and even having the platinum trophies in the legacy collections?
Most fun maverick to take out with only the buster? Most fun maverick to take out with the weapon they're weak to? Those could be some interesting lists.
TornadoTonion is the easiest in MX&, but ironically we get the best weapon (for zero) in the series from him I mean, look the damage that caused by his weapon (with zero), I beat almost all the bosses in MX7 with it.
As a subscriber, my opinion obviously outweighs everyone else's, and I say do the Megaman X8 review. It occupies this weird space where even though everyone's heard of it and probably even owns it in the Legacy Collection, it's hard to find anything specific about what people like/dislike about the game beyond "it isn't X7"
As X3 was the second X game I've ever playes (after X8), it was hard back then but now I think it's more mediocre. The Mavericks are the hardest from the SNES titles, but I think Sigma from X1 was far more difficult. Especially when I beat him without weakness, which I do EVERY SINGLE TIME (yes, honestly, I love charging the extra buster 32 times just to take 1 HP every hit)
7:11 - 7:17 So you call battletoads forgettable. Oh yeah there actually meaning that the game is empty felling, repeats enemies and the bosses are easily explotable
Not to call X4 TOO easy... but I can beat Split Mushroom, Magma Dragoon, Jet Stingray and Slash Beast without looking at the screen. I think with a bit of practice I could handle Storm Owl too.
Boomer kuwanger (i find) is the easiest out of x1 because his patterns are easy to get a hang of without his weakness, but thats just because im insane.
Honestly, I think this is something where you would have to pick one with the weakness and one without it, because you literally stand still to kill Spark Mandrill with the weakness, but b/o it's a real challenge. Chill Penguin watching noob players isn't easy, I think a lot of them have an easier time with Mammoth. If we are talking ULTIMATELY, with power ups, Spark mandrill is arguably the easiest fight in the history of the X series* B/o Mammoth imo, it's close. The mother of my child has beaten Chill Penguin tbh, hmm I'd say that with power ups, yeah, Stag, b/o is tough but probably sponge for most people, if you understand mega man and using terrain to your advantage then Ostrich I think Buffalo is the winner here in both contexts outside of the speed run world where you can spam kill a few bosses. Blast Hornet might be easier with the weapon though but I'll give this one to you without an actual argument, just another prospective. X4 is tough, you could say because of the ride armor that Magma Dragoon is the easiest, but then when you are in refights you don't, so partial credit for that answer. 100% The Walrus. X5 agreed with the buster only one, but the ugly Kangaroo with airplane wings you can freeze, so probably them. Good list. *The X series ends at x5. These fan games look interesting, though. X6 it's shitty X7 lmao it's an onion X8 The Panda's name is incredible though

So, when are we getting that Medium Maverick from X-X8 List again? I forgot he only mentioned it every 2 mins.
My list: x1-chill penguin, x2-flame stag, x3-tunel rhino, x4-frost walrus, x5-grizzli, x6-ground scorovich, x7-tornado tonion, x8-eath trilobite
X1: Storm Eagle
X2: Crystal Snail
X3: Blizzard Buffalo
X4: Frost Walrus
X5: Grizzly Slash
X6: Ground Scaravich
X7: Tornado Tonion
X8: haven't played
I died to eagle a lot… because I played this very early on, and I didn’t even know upgrades were a thing. This stuff wasn’t as easy when you only had as long as it took your parents to take the game back to blockbuster to figure it all out.
Subscribing for the based X3 take.
New to your channel. I dig it buddy. Cool work. Thanks.
3:04 that's a megaman X staple.
In a megaman X game having a weakness almost guarantees a victory.
Also the fact that Duff Mcwhalen has insta kill spikes in his boss room while Grizzly has none makes it a no brainier.
I thought his name was tidal whale
@@SukunaIsHim It is now. Back on the original PS1 english release it was Duff Mcwhalen. Old habits.
I feel like MMX7 scars MMX franchise so much that most ppl think MMX8 was very bad. I really think the mavericks design are great, the voice acting are good, the graphics is great with quite good storyline.
New to this channel and I'm already tempted to ask for the most medium.
Ok but what if we subscribe will you do the most medium mavericks? (and robot masters?)
If you can time when to fire at the stingrays he shoots at you, Jet Stingray is one of the easiest bosses in the series. Certainly the only one I can no damage buster on a regular basis.
"His new name is midboss" - Prince Laharl
Always happy when I see new Megaman videos ❤😂
So.... when's the most medium bosses from megaman 1 through 11 and megaman x?
Can you do a video on the most medium Maverick from Mega Man X1-X8?
Here are my picks for the easiest boss in each MegaMan X game right here, right now.
MMX1-Chill Penguin
MMX2-Wire Sponge
MMX3-Tunnel Rhino
MMX4-Frost Walrus
MMX5-Grizzly Slash/Crescent Grizzly
MMX6-Commander Yammark
MMX7-Soldier Stonekong
MMX8-Bamboo Pandamonium
I agree with of six of your opinions
I have no idea how you beat Split Mushroom so easily, he always crushes me LMAO (don't say by using his weakness i know it trivializes him)
What about X3 sega saturn port?
Volt catfish has the best animated opening animation.
The mmx series is easier than the classic imo
But the same can't be said for the bosses
Yeah the platforming in the x series is nowhere near as frustrating as the classic MM (though a few areas in the X hunter stages can be annoying)
I'm down to watch whatever you posting bro... but am I too Xtreme for beating all of the X series... and even having the platinum trophies in the legacy collections?
2:45 didn't need the dash upgrade lol
We pro gamers 😂
Neon tiger is super easy, with or without his weakness. Yes you’ll take some damage but it’s a very easy pattern imo.
would you do a most medium maverick video if your subscribers asked for it?
Can't wait for the most average mega man x bosses from each game
I died once to Storm Eagle, okay? In my defense, I was 12, and it was my first time playing the game.
I don't know who was responsible for that?! 😂
Yeah, I wonder who that could've possibly been?
Most fun maverick to take out with only the buster? Most fun maverick to take out with the weapon they're weak to? Those could be some interesting lists.
I died on storm eagle.
But it was my first time and I didn't have the dash.
I am down to seeing actual gameplay of MegaMan x from tootrep. Sometimes the best way to prove ones credentials is to prove them.
I think SomeCallMeJohnny would be a little offended watching this video lmao
you were really hard on the X6 bosses. all of them were considered at low level battle.
honestly i'd watch anything you put out
TornadoTonion is the easiest in MX&, but ironically we get the best weapon (for zero) in the series from him
I mean, look the damage that caused by his weapon (with zero), I beat almost all the bosses in MX7 with it.
I'll be honest, I'm better at the X series than I am at the OG series.
Tbh same. I've beaten all the X titles and Zero games. Have not beaten all the OG Megamans yet.
@@theskoomacat3106 I've beaten the og games except 9 and 10, but I've never played the Zero games...
...YET! Those og games, maaaan!
In summary, Ice Mavericks blow.
I figured it'd be Commander Yanmark or Blizzard Wolfgang.
7:11 - 7:17
So you call battletoads forgettable.
I feel like X4 might have the easiest Mavericks tbh
@@tooterp As an average for all 8 of them, I could see that. I have more trouble with Launch Octopus than most of the Mavericks in X4.
Haven't finished the video yet but I want to shout out Django from command mission being the easiest because JRPG
And yet... Each and every one of them kicked my behind inside out when I attempted those games...
This is the 100th comment
Please do the most medium mavericks from megaman x - x8
my man called wheel gator a crocodile 💀
Good choices so far.
someone told me I was intended to beat dragoon first but god damn is he hard to kill without a mech also storm owl is quite easy but I just suck
Can you make best weapon for Megaman X videos idk what is best or worst you video are very good and
Can you play (Megaman maker) Is for pc
How about the best medium maverick?
Subscriber here, do the most medium Maverick from every X game.
Boomer kuwanger (i find) is the easiest out of x1 because his patterns are easy to get a hang of without his weakness, but thats just because im insane.
Since you're doing Megaman X videos now don't forget about making the worst weapons on every Megaman X games video!!
I mean half of storm eagle's attacks don't even hurt you but I dunno....
X8 you can bring mech into Panda boss fight so imo hes the easiest.
Maverick you'd most like as a pet
I saw it first also call the x5 mavericks by the good names😂
Get over the fact he's a crocodile, I can't get over the fact your transparency layer is opaque... Must be zsnes.
The mother of my child has beaten Chill Penguin tbh, hmm
I'd say that with power ups, yeah, Stag, b/o is tough but probably sponge for most people, if you understand mega man and using terrain to your advantage then Ostrich
I think Buffalo is the winner here in both contexts outside of the speed run world where you can spam kill a few bosses.
X6 it's shitty
X7 lmao it's an onion
X8 The Panda's name is incredible though
Also "The Most Medium Maverick from Mega Man X1-8" rolls off the tongue too good not do it
