This man manages to consistently pull off my favorite disclaimers in all of TH-cam; "This is my list I do what I want with it". You gotta love to see it.
Ok I am so fascinated on how you keep making creative videos first ugliest charcter design, now dumb spike places? This is seriously too creative I could never think about these stuff
The ones on Charge Man’s level when you climb the ladder to get on top of the train and there’s random spikes to the left when you have to go to right like wtf?
I honestly thought this would be about difficulty spikes, but this is incredibly entertaining. I especially loved how you got ultra specific, pointing out a single spike that is the worst in each game. Thanks for making me laugh!
Bruh I hate those like that one area to swing to the rock boss fight and that one area where you have to swing around in order to not get hit by all of the spikes
Dive Man's stage also has those spikes that kill you if you jump high during a screen transition. Similarly, 5 has that area where if you drop from the wrong side of a platform you just die from spikes found within a lower screen.
And then in Megaman 3 he points out a spike 'while there are enemies all around' while we see no enemies around. Did he get a mod or code to suppress them? If so, why?
The more niche the tier list from you, the more excited I get watching them. You're going above and beyond generic top 10 channels and delivering what manages to be unique content in what are 12 relatively short games. If you're low on ideas, maybe something like your opinions on your favorite tileset/ background could be cool! But I'm not one to call the shots-- just to appreciate your channel!
It took me 22 years to figure out how to get past the stupidest spike on MM6 leading to the secret zone behind the breakable wall and flip platforms. That was sometime around 2016. I was so excited when I did it, I wrote it down in my note pad, and I still have it to this day, where I keep all my Megaman notes, such as boss weaknesses and preferred order to fight them, and secret techniques that helped me beat the games. I've kept making these notes since the early 1990s. I'd share this info with my friends, and they always appreciated it since the internet wasn't available yet. One of the techniques I figured out back in the 90s when I was a teenager that stunned all my friends was how I defeated Wily 4 boss on MM2 without having to die just to refill Crash Bomb ammo! For those of you who don't know how, here's what you do. This first part is tricky and requires good jumping skills! Use Item 1 (Triple hovering lift platform) twice along the left side of the screen, and that will squeeze you in the bottom gap at the top, between the shooter and the barricade. That way you can kill the shooter, but not waste ammo on the barricade. Use Item 1 once to help you jump onto the center wall and then use Item 1 again QUICKLY (before the first one disappears), placing it above the the first Item 1 platform. Then jump back onto the 2 lifts, then through the gap onto the small segment of blue wall beside the barricade. Kill the shooter, but do not shoot the barricade. Then fall back down the gap onto the floor, then use Item 1 again to get you over the center wall to attack the shooters on the right side. Use Item 1 again or Item 3 (wall crawler) to get you over the top barricade on the top right in both directions, saving you more Crash Bomb ammo. Honestly, the only barricades that need to be broken are the ones on the bottom right and bottom left (above door), since they are directly in front of the shooters. The barricades on the center wall and near the top right shooter and top left shooter can be left alone and navigated around by using the Item 1 lifts, thereby saving you precious Crash Bomb ammo. You still have to have perfect aim with the Crash Bomb onto the shooters though, as even with proper lift navigation, you'll only have enough ammo for what is needed to kill all the shooters and the 2 bottom barricades directly in front of the shooters there. The barricades ARE NOT ENEMIES and do not affect the bosses health, so the three barricades you don't destroy may remain there. You only need to destroy the shooters. The boss will still die even if the three barricades you navigate around remain intact. Good luck!
I thought the stupidest spike trap from 9 was going to be the ones on the wall next to the swinging platform in Jewel Man's stage. That one always got me.
The ones in that one room in said stage where you have to fall past the swinging platform. I hate that room and think every spike there is a pain in the ass
damn bro if you gave me a hundred years i wouldn't have made a top video about spikes in megaman games lmao. you've got a monopoly in megaman videos lmao
I personally think the spikes in Star Man’s stage are the most annoying. I’ve played through that stage a couple times at least, and the reduced gravity in his stage can make avoiding those spikes ridiculously difficult. I’m so glad you included it.
Nah fam, in Mega Man 4, if you move to the next screen by jumping high up, you get insta killed by some of the floating spikes immediately. That one was such a guaranteed inclusion.
I think you're right about the platforms in Rockman and Forte. Those spikes are such a pain in the ass to avoid. I would say the short section in King Stage 1 is harder though just because the gap between the floor and the ceiling is a WHOLE lot smaller. Though I think GalaxyMan's spikes in 9 aren't really that bad because the game kind of shows you how the grabby enemy works the first time. I think the jump in I think it's Wily Stage 2? The one with all the water right before the boss door, yeah that spike jump is just the absolute worst.
When I was a kid, maybe 5 or 6 years old, Bubblemans stage was always extremely difficult for me because of the spikes. Now it’s no big deal, but I used to have so many rage filled fits because of them.
bro, tbh your content is already a million subscriber worthy, i was surprised you only have a few thousand, but im sure if you continue this type of content you will soon reach there!
My opinions on the dumbest spike locations (This time 1-5 bc I haven't played the other games in a while): Megaman 1: Agreed. Especially the Bomb Man's spikes, it always get's me. Megaman 2: Ngl water level spikes are annoying to dodge against, but I got used to them because of how abundant they are in Megaman games. I suggest using invincibility frames if you're found repeatedly dying across them. However, for me, it goes to Wily Stage 3; falling down with a crap ton of spikes is always hard to dodge and pretty unpredictable. Megaman 3: Never really found those spikes to be that difficult bc even if you couldn't cross them regularly you can always cheese them with Rush Jet, but there really isn't anything notable besides Shadow Man's Doc Robot stage. Megaman 4: Yeah same. Megaman 5: Surprised that you didn't even mention Proto Man's Fortress 1 spikes. I've never died to the Star Man's spikes but I always die on PMF1's (specifically the part with disappearing blocks). These disappearing blocks are annoying to dodge and if you try to cheese you'll usually end up dying.
RE: Mr. X Stage 1: Hop on the first swap platform, hop on the second swap platform, WALK LEFT BACK ONTO THE FIRST SWAP PLATFORM!!!, then hop to the second swap platform again. You'll NEVER touch the spikes this way. You're welcome.
Although I can see the Galaxy Man spikes being annoying, the pixel perfect underwater spike pit in Wily 2 is definitely the worst in Megaman 9, IMO. (as well as the Mini Boss pit before it if we go by jumping only)
Here are some hornable mentions: 5:25: Don't force yourself to go right there's a 2 hidden horizonal spikes on the right that impossible to dodge during the fall! 5:52: Those stupid 5 spikes on the left and right they give you no room for error, If you accidently jump very high you suddenly kill yourself so stupidly you have to jump perfectly, but if you master it you have no issues with it but if you don't, wait until the elevator reach that platform and then slide immediately to reach the middle spot to get out there! 5:54: If you land that platform don't fall on the right there are spikes that impossible to dodge you should go the left instead!
Personally, I'd say that the spike ceiling about a third or so of the way into Drill Man's stage are the stupidest spikes in Megaman 4. Why? Because they're actually placed /above Megaman's peak jump height/, rendering them completely useless. You can just do a full jump under it and still not hit it; unless you use some kind of mobility tool and intentionally jump into them, there is absolutely zero chance of you hitting them.
Helpful tips for any players regarding the challenge spikes in this video: MM1 Wily 4 - clear out the watchers first u dingus. Don't go back down the ladder MM1 Bomb Man - if you can't avoid the guy, stand to the far right of blocks if ur moving right. Similar to dealing with a hit from Mega Dragon MM2 Bubble Man - don't cheat ig? MM3 Spark Man - do needle man first if you need Rush Jet to handle the harder platforming because yeah that spark man section is a bit rough MM4 Dive Man spikes - don't jump through screen transitions because you can jump into the spike hurtbox. Otherwise, be patient and give urself the room you need overhead MM5 - there's a community figure known as JupiHornet who has a reputation for overusing Rush Jet for the tight jumps. If you need to dog your way over, do so without MM6 Mr X 1 - it's a devious puzzle but quite simple. Break the block on the second platform and drop back down to the first so u can more safely get over to your open path. Still hard, but I find that approach works more times than trying to do the tiny jump MM7 Burst Man - icarus moment, reap what you sow MM8 Frost Man - slide when it says slide lol. No tricks for the skateboard other than "do your best" MM&B - don't play this one if you struggle with the classic series in general unless you're down to savestate your own checkpoints
MM9 Galaxy Man - this is a prank gimmick. Each instance of a catcher should cement itself in your brain as something not to be caught in MM10 - lmao MM11 Acid Man - these are some of the tighter jumps in the game. I think the game has that "nothing can hurt you" achievement as a nod to players damage boosting. Don't feel bad for damage boosting; the devs clearly see it as a valid tool for players, and it allows the circumvention of some spike jumps
I'm not here to argue, just to point out that I, in fact, stuck at Mega Man. It's not stopping me from playing tho. Made it to MMZ2 so far in a torrential flood of blood and tears, but it's happening.
13:55 - I would have to agree; that was very stupid, especially considering the option of "SPIKE the Like Button" was right there... "...wuzzat? That one's stupid too? What are you talking abo-" *8-bit explosion noise*
For the bomb man one, just freeze the orange orb with icemans weapon and just bolt outta there until the guy is off the screen. Then he never appears again.
You are absolutely right about MM6. I am really good at those games and decided one time to figure out just how hard all the games are. My way to determine this was play each game until I beat it. Cannot use E tanks. If I get a game over, I have to start from the beginning. And I count up the game overs to see how many times a game will trip me up. Well I managed to get through MM1-5 without a single game over. MM6 is not a game I consider hard so I figured I was set for each of the MM NES games. Well the problem with 6 is when I get to Mr. X stage 1, I just can't resist but to try to go for the secret area. Usually I get it on like the 2nd or 3rd try and sometimes on the first try. Well when I was doing this experiment, I had like 6 or 7 lives accumulated and I actually died on that damn spike every single time until I got a game over. It ruined my experiment and forced me to rank MM6 as harder than MM3, which it's totally not. But it's also kind of my own doing. I was too stubborn to just give up on it and go straight up. I had to go the hard way.
And yet, Wily never made a Spike Man to one shot Mega Man. Dude is really dumb ''Uh, Durrrrrrrrr, Plant Man seems like a much better idea for a deadly robot!''
I remember one time in MM10 I was playing Blade Man's stage with my sister and when we saw the axe things (whatever they were called) we were basically just going "what the fuck is that"
Dude, the spike drop in mm11 is harder for me than spark man and shadow man doc stages. Just threading that needle gets me more often than I'd like to admit!
Oh did I mention that you can't beat wily stage 1 in megaman 1! you have get a magnet beam first before you play wily stage 1! the magnet beam are very useful to avoid pits and spikes and even big enemies that impossible to avoid without getting hit!!
Soon! I'm currently working on making all the transitions and other assets which takes time so until then I'm trying to make as many Classic Mega Man videos as possible :)
Yep megaman or our best old enemy is the stupid spikes not wily himself! Cause it will instantly kill megaman and we lose tons of lives because how tough to avoid these stupid things, I hate these spikes so much!!
I'm a big fan of the nes megaman games. So my thoughts on seven were the stages are to long and boring they make you wait a lot. The game isn't hard except bass in both of his fights. I don't think it's a bad game nor a great game.
MegaRobDad here. You 100% got Mega Man 5 wrong, even though you showed it on screen. The one in wily 1 where if you guess wrong, pick one, is the worst. I'd disagree about mm1, the one in guts man on the bottom right corner before the last room with the big eye before the boss gate is the stupidest, but I'm not as confident about the mm5 one and you being wrong. Any other ones are nitpicks. I taught you about the mega man 3 spike physics, so you gotta give me my moments of serenity.
Tbh spikes have always annoyed me in Megaman games. I know it's a platform mechanic and all but seriously you're playing as a robot/android. If anything Megaman would crush the spikes (unless they're made out of Adamanium like Wolverine).
If you enjoy the Mega Man videos don't forget to check out this playlist to catch them all! :)

He should be a lawyer what a disclaimer
Agreed, everyone should feel this way about their content
Ok I am so fascinated on how you keep making creative videos first ugliest charcter design, now dumb spike places?
This is seriously too creative I could never think about these stuff
Thank you so much! :D
Tooterp has managed to bring back 2015 youtube in these videos and I’m all for it
video is 2022
just the whole "fuck this spike in particular" thing is what i love most about this
The ones on Charge Man’s level when you climb the ladder to get on top of the train and there’s random spikes to the left when you have to go to right like wtf?

Those are also stupid for sure lolol
I was thinking of those the second I saw this video. They're *evil*
@@Hansov_Bone It's so easy to be just one pixel off and die when you're trying to balance the platform.
The ones in that one room in said stage where you have to fall past the swinging platform. I hate that room and think every spike there is a pain in the ass

Imagine you are walking, and all of a sudden you step on a spike, and DIE... that's crazy!
Now its time for "Smartest Spikes in Megaman 1-11"
Mega man 1 invented the spike bug Before sonic 1
Nah fam, in Mega Man 4, if you move to the next screen by jumping high up, you get insta killed by some of the floating spikes immediately. That one was such a guaranteed inclusion.

I wonder if any of the level designers behind the Mega Man games would be offended from you mocking thier specific placement of a single spike block.
When I was a kid, maybe 5 or 6 years old, Bubblemans stage was always extremely difficult for me because of the spikes. Now it’s no big deal, but I used to have so many rage filled fits because of them.
My pick for MM9 is in the underwater section of the wily stages. Great list and keep up the great work!!
bro, tbh your content is already a million subscriber worthy, i was surprised you only have a few thousand, but im sure if you continue this type of content you will soon reach there!
My man making the most creative MegaMan content on TH-cam.

next video: the most repulsive pixel from every mega man game
I never knew I needed a video based around megaman spikes in my life more than this video
Nah, the stupidest spikes in Mega Man 5 are the ones that insta-kill you after a screen transition that you can't see coming.
RE: Mr. X Stage 1: Hop on the first swap platform, hop on the second swap platform, WALK LEFT BACK ONTO THE FIRST SWAP PLATFORM!!!, then hop to the second swap platform again.
You'll NEVER touch the spikes this way. You're welcome.
Sigh, fine you're in my top 5 youtubers. Keep up the amazing work. Hope you get the recognition you deserve.
Oh wow thank you so much I appreciate that a ton! :D
Mega Man 8 is oh-so-great!! I love that they got Elmer Fudd to voice Dr. Light.
The spikes in Dive Man's stage are the only ones that ever killed me during screen transition.
I love Mega Man games and I have to say that the spikes are a pain in the ass as I have been killed by them numerous times.
Although I can see the Galaxy Man spikes being annoying, the pixel perfect underwater spike pit in Wily 2 is definitely the worst in Megaman 9, IMO. (as well as the Mini Boss pit before it if we go by jumping only)

Caution: Spikes Will Kill Mega Man
I like TH-camrs like tooterp he brings back some of that nostalgia from long ago
I'm saving that section for the stupidest jump in every MegaMan game! The spikes themselves are pretty smart but the jump is stupid 😣
Helpful tips for any players regarding the challenge spikes in this video:
MM1 Wily 4 - clear out the watchers first u dingus. Don't go back down the ladder
MM1 Bomb Man - if you can't avoid the guy, stand to the far right of blocks if ur moving right. Similar to dealing with a hit from Mega Dragon

MM5 - there's a community figure known as JupiHornet who has a reputation for overusing Rush Jet for the tight jumps. If you need to dog your way over, do so without
MM6 Mr X 1 - it's a devious puzzle but quite simple. Break the block on the second platform and drop back down to the first so u can more safely get over to your open path. Still hard, but I find that approach works more times than trying to do the tiny jump
MM7 Burst Man - icarus moment, reap what you sow
MM8 Frost Man - slide when it says slide lol. No tricks for the skateboard other than "do your best"
MM&B - don't play this one if you struggle with the classic series in general unless you're down to savestate your own checkpoints
MM9 Galaxy Man - this is a prank gimmick. Each instance of a catcher should cement itself in your brain as something not to be caught in
MM10 - lmao
MM11 Acid Man - these are some of the tighter jumps in the game.
You made me laugh really hard, thanks, pal.
I died at least 10 times to the spikes in 9 where the fake 1-Up Mets are.
You are absolutely right about MM6. I am really good at those games and decided one time to figure out just how hard all the games are. My way to determine this was play each game until I beat it. You are a god at TH-cam, all will bow before your greatness.
The spike in megaman 1 and megaman 5 are so on point I am crying dude
And yet, Wily never made a Spike Man to one shot Mega Man. Dude is really dumb ''Uh, Durrrrrrrrr, Plant Man seems like a much better idea for a deadly robot!''
The most annoying mega man 11 spikes are in the red section with the floor and ceiling layered with spikes and one of those platforms in the middle
This is the video everyone needed
I'm glad this video exists.
Oh spikes. My old nemesis (me and spikes having a lighting stare down)
Same though it’s only they are on thé celling
Friggin hilarious theme for a video man. Careful with them MM7 spikes, bro!
9:21
Fuck that spike! It has murdered me one time too many!
Oh did I mention that you can't beat wily stage 1 in megaman 1! you have get a magnet beam first before you play wily stage 1! the magnet beam are very useful to avoid pits and spikes and even big enemies that impossible to avoid without getting hit!!
I dunno that spike at the 2nd jump in Doc Robot Shadowman always ruined my dang day
The only Megaman tier list that matter
I see Mega Man 8 Bit Deathmatch in the background. POG.
Next category "longest ladder"? Mega Man 2 cry your heart out :D
you should've talked about that water section wily wily castle 2 from mega man 9
Just played MM1-6 though the collection the last couple days.
Idea for a video: best/worst robot master character designs/boss rooms
Skill issue lol (except from the mega man 9 spikes those are just so unfair)
When are we going to get all these break downs for the X-Series and Zero Series?
Soon! I'm currently working on making all the transitions and other assets which takes time so until then I'm trying to make as many Classic Mega Man videos as possible :)
I need to know the useless spikes, it is absolutely important knowledge to know!!
Yep megaman or our best old enemy is the stupid spikes not wily himself! Cause it will instantly kill megaman and we lose tons of lives because how tough to avoid these stupid things, I hate these spikes so much!!
Personally, I found the wily 3 upwards underwater spikes in mega man 7 to be the worst. You have to guess to avoid them
Well this is a fun unique list idea
Did I really hear the word "noobs" in 2022? At my age? Goddamn.
The spikes in the underwater section of Megaman 9 Wily Stage 2 are pretty stupid.
Great video. You should do a video of best mega man stage music
This channel is the coolest thing since Item-2.

Megaman 1. Use the ice to freeze the enemy to make the jump easy
I wonder how he picks a specific spike of it's in a group.
Eenie meenie minnie mow
Mega Man + Spikes = *Death*
3:50 ah celling spikes they’re so annoying
Very silly. Enjoyed
Mega Man 8 is one of my favorite Mega Man games, whereas 7 and 11 are near the bottom.
this is the most niche topic ive ever watched a video. Still brilliant though
USELESS SPIKE VIDEO! LETS GOOOOO!!!
this is like the #1 meme on the megamanmaker discord
Lolol I saw, hopefully people enjoy and don't take it too seriously 😵
I was thinking you were going to make a joke about needle man or slash man being the stupidest spike
Impossible Megaman
Taking a guess for megaman 3 before I watch...
Shadow man doc robot?
Doh
I'm a big fan of the nes megaman games. So my thoughts on seven were the stages are to long and boring they make you wait a lot. The game isn't hard except bass in both of his fights. I don't think it's a bad game nor a great game.
love ur vids!!!
Almost every spike in MM9 are stupid
What about best top 10 toads in video games
What about Mega Man VS Streetfighter?
just dodge them not that hard haha
Now I wanna know what the stupidest spike in I wanna be the guy is :D
13:45 I thought you said you never did silly videos, only serious videos!
8:25 What!? Why did you vanish!?
I touched the spike >.
I disagree with most of these somehow but mm1 you’re totally right
You should do best item in mega man
Tbh spikes have always annoyed me in Megaman games. I know it's a platform mechanic and all but seriously you're playing as a robot/android. If anything Megaman would crush the spikes (unless they're made out of Adamanium like Wolverine).
