The pop up speaker is definitely cool and adds to the design. While the other cap for speaker has way too much light should be very subtle. Plus if you adding burmester covers, maybe should add actual burmester speakers? Haha, just a thought!

No need to remove those trims from the door. You can remove the speaker from the back, it's snapped into three rubbers. Pops right out and back in afterwards. You can then remove the old speaker covers from behind. Saves a lot work

hey man I have OEM Burrmeister speakers in the car so it came with tweeters located where the rotating speakers would go. Would I have to change the speaker from OEM Burrmeister to this new speaker?
What if the rotating speakers dont show the same light as the original ambient light in the car? Do i have go code it or something

Hi, I have a GLC 2016 that not have the ambient light control in the OEM Menu because this car did not come with ambient lights. Is it necessary to activate this ambient light control on main OEM menu before to buy these lights?. Do you know who can provide an OBD connector with the ambient light activation program?

Trust me...I still have those fears. The driver's door went on like butter...but the passenger door (for some odd reason) took me like 2 hours. I was super frustrated (and started freaking out)...but I powered through it. If it came off 1 way...it has to go back on someway.

Hey Flexx, I installed the ambient lighting for all my doors. Everything works except the passenger side where it wont change color and stays purple. Do you have any idea?

Flexx, so my 2016 CLS (w218) has the Harman Kardon sound system with the tweeters located where the rotating burmester rotating tweeters are in your video. The rotating feature is a must have in my life. Can I just plug those in and switch out the tweeters with those?

Hey Flexx, do the illuminated door speaker covers block some of the sound from the speakers? Also my C300 has the Burmeister sound and there is a tweeter under the cover in the top corner of the door, do you know how that rotating speaker would compare to the Burmeister one? You can. It’s in the link. You just gotta put in what specs your car is.
I did go to the website I select F package the price was 1300 ??? I’m scared to buy it and mess it up do you know anybody can I take it to I live in Michigan before I finish my purchase
I installed everything as you did and it works perfect. Only issue is after installing it, I lost all bass from the audio. Any media playback and tweaking bass section in equalizer doesn’t change anything. It sounds with zero bass on any media or song. What could’ve gone wrong??? It is weird to see that high and mid tone section in the equalizer is working fine but the bass level changes from -10 to 10 but there is zero difference. I am so much in stress over this. Please advise anything
You probably didn’t plug something back in correctly. Something electrical ain’t making contact most likely

No. Go watch episode 1. Everything is controlled using my steering wheel from the main part of the ambient kit.

All Mercedes are reliable...just depends if you buy it used...it better have a good service history and it’s still low miles.

If you install the actual rotating tweeters (not just the cover, then your sound will improve.

I do have the Premium sound option as part of Premium Package 3... maybe I can place the Burmester speaker into the DMP mechanism? I wonder if the color can be synced with factory Ambient Lighting? Factory Ambient lighting on my c43 has three color options.

Any troubles with these after two years? Also it seems the speaker cover (non-rotating) is way too bright, isn't it distracting?
Zero problems. And no. It’s not brighter that much. My camera just doesn’t do a good job of capturing what it looks like in real life.
What’s the problem if the tweeters don’t follow the rest of the lights, like the tweeters would be green and the doors, air vent’s etc would be purple?
Either the receiver box is defective or the tweeter component is defective and the wires are crossed somewhere or there’s a broken wire. Each component to the ambient kit has 4 wires that makes up all the colors. If a single wire is broken, the balance of the 3 wires can’t make specific colors and then the component will have a different color then the entire kit. That happened to me and I had to solder my broken wire back on and it worked 100% again. It was my fault because I tugged on the wires too hard when I was running the wires.
Flexx please help me. I have installed all as you explained. I only keep one white connector which not seems to fit anywhere. Do you have any idea. It seems the light ?
My video clearly shows how I installed mine. If I don't mention anything extra...then its not needed. But I dont know what kit you have. These kits are always changing cause they are constantly being improved.
Because these ambient parts can be purchased individually...they usually have extra connectors so if you want to add another ambient part to your car...you can connect that part to these extra connectors to get the "color light signal"...instead of running the wire for that new ambient part all the way to the main harness. If I were you, I would double check with DMP car design, if you bought it from them.

Hey Flexx, I have burmester audio in my W205. Are those just triangle covers for me or actual tweeters? I can’t tell.
Don’t know. I never had a burmester system. Just put your ear up to it and listen while covering the round speaker on the door with your hand.

My car came with the base level speakers. They were no good to begin with. My car didn’t have the special burmester sound system.

This looks great, on side note anyone have issues with kit? One of the control boxes is not working and DMP won't reply to emails :(
I asked. They didn’t see an email from you. Since they are an international company, WhatsApp and Facebook messenger is always the quickest method to get their support.
i want to have a tweeter but dont want ambient lights i rather keep that stock is there a kit for that. those speakers seem to need a custom ambient light box
Then just buy the speaker and only use the connector for sound and power. Don’t use the LED connector.

I believe you can still do it. Best for you to speak with DMP. They can tell you 100% yes or no.

What you mean? Haha. I clearly stated in the video my car didn’t even have a tweeter so of course the ambient speaker is an upgrade for me. Better than nothing. I don’t know about the burmester setup with this. You need to ask DMP.

Just got this kit delivered and only have the 4 doors lights remaining to be installed. Did you notice any noise when driving after having to detach all doors and use glue to attach the new silver parts with leds? I'm worried about driving around with a car full of noises everywhere
Zero sound. You just need to make sure your install is correct, clean and all the wires are not a mess.

Have you had any issues with the 3D tweeter? I have heard of people have been having issues with blowing the speakers. Did you have to install a condenser to prevent blowing them?
Nope. No issues. Don’t know who is blowing it up but they probably have issues with playing their music at max volume. Just like with anything, if you max it out all the time...you’re gonna risk damaging it. This speaker is not a high end speaker. You wanna blast your music all the time...then upgrade to a high end speaker...not a speaker designed for looks.
