Just to play Debbie Downer...I would love to know the operational costs of a big power cruiser over a years worth of cruising. I think it would be one of things that is you have to ask what it costs, you can't afford it. Hard to beat the comfort of that big Hatty though.

At 4 dollars, 4.50 or 5 US dollars a gallon( don't know how that converts to liters per kilometer) that would be respectively 9,600, $10,800 or 12,000 US dollars to fillup with fuel at one time.

Do people that can afford 58 ft boats like that hire staff on board....cleaning maids and /or chefs, etc?

That gas station bill though. After those 3,000 nm when the tanks are empty, it's $12,000 to fill 'er up. Yikes!
We have spent a lot of time doing the math as well. We do not pay for electricity~$200-300/month, heat-$100-200/month, or gasoline for vehicles-$400-500/month or house insurance-$5000/year or property taxes. The $12000 per year for fuel is a bargain when you think of all the other ways there are to spend your money.

I did the math in my head but paused the video to confirm on my calculator. 2,400 gallons at $5 is $12,000.

You’re delusional and have been lied to. At 80,000 feet co2 dissipates and is broken down. Nitrogen also disipares it and it makes up 78% of air. The new diesels require nitrogen to break down the co2. Lastly fossil fuels are not fossils and they were given to us to be used and enjoy the play ground god gave us. They are constantly renewed. Ahhh. Yes we have grounded now a few times. We have all the equipment. Sometimes it’s because of shoaling or charts are wrong and other times it’s because we’ve judged wrong. 😁

but it's their home - they aren't paying for utilities on shore, vehicles, lawn care, pool care, housecleaning services, and other home operating costs.
