Hey Everyone! Before I include some notes about the video, I want to give a shout out to PRS for sending me out the guitar for this video. It is an SE McCarty 594 and besides being absolutely gorgeous to look at, it sounds and plays amazing. This is the best guitar for me personally because it has the tones of single coils and humbuckers with the push/pull knob feature. I will 100% be using this for my cover band gigs. I also have to note that I didn't have to keep re-tuning it for this video. Because of how PRS position their tuners on the headstock, this guitar doesn't have the tuning issues that many other guitars do because of their design flaws. I strongly recommend this guitar because of all that I have noted and also because it is affordable. What great timing! We have hit 500K subscribers and this song has been requested for some time. I had a lot of fun learning this and tabbing it out for you all to learn. I really hope you enjoy learning this tune. Besides Gary Moores killer vibrato, he also has amazing chops so this is definitely a challenge. I did do a couple of things differently for this video and I will note them. In the first verse, I gently strum the chords to kill dead air and space. Moore doesn't play this live and his backing band takes over. Start strumming in measure 13 if you want to do it exactly like he does. I am also using the bridge pickup for the verses and choruses except for when I break out a lead. I felt this was a better sound for me personally but Moore uses his neck pickup for those parts. And that's really it! I studied his finger positions from about 3 of his live videos because I couldn't see them all in the live in Hamburg video. And took very educated guesses on his scale positioning if I was unsure. I really feel that this is an accurate tab. I am really new to Gary Moore so if you have any more suggestions, feel free to let me know down below!
Gary was a huge influence on me, particularly his earlier stuff. Always nice to see him represented as he really was one of the most tasteful players of his time imo
The amount of emotion that Gary captured in his leads was incredible. What might appear to be simple half and full step bends, are really quite difficult to pull off with the same level of soul and clarity. You did this justice! I’d love to see Parisienne Walkways (live) from you!
@@its.nightxtz7054 some parts of solo 2 sure. But if you've only picked up this instrument in the last 6 months, it would be very challenging to nail all of it with such little experience

I don't think people recognize you enough as a pure musician to pick up on the changing tones throughout a song and the small playing techniques that make you sound closest to the original artist than other 'lesson' videos - but ofc thank you so much for the tabs! 5:28 and the 15 seconds afterwards was like true heaven to hear
You nailed Gary's tone 100%. That was absolutely incredible. I always loved his playing, and to me he's the king of sustain. Will you be doing Parisienne Walkways ever?

What an amazing cover, absolutely phenomenal control of a VERY tough song to nail. The nuances of Gary’s vibrato is incredible, but you make it look easy. Thank you for the time spent putting this together- talk about inspiration!

OMG that was incredible. I even know which live show it was taken from and that you left out the gaff Gary made in the phrase starting at 4.40. The fact that you seem to have all those very fast licks down in such an incredible way...amazing. Top marks for not butchering it. The vibrato is spot on. Wow!

I found that love was more than just a game
You're playin' to win, but you lose just the same
So long, it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you
So many years since I've seen your face
Here in my heart, there's an empty space
Where you used to be
So long, it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you
Though the days come and go
There is one thing I know
I've still got the blues for you
