If Islam wins his 2 next fights against Dustin and Arman he'll have 4 defenses in LW, the most all time. I think that's enough to make him the goat of the division.
To become the GOAT the path is very clear, move up to WW and win the title and maybe one or two more defenses at WW then retire with one loss. If he does that he's the goat imo.
The problem with Islam's potential 4 title defenses is it still leaves room for people to say that Volk was a FW moving up so he doesn't count as LW defenses (even though Volk beats most 155 top 5 if we're being honest). So i think if he gets thru Dustin and Arman, if he takes on 1 more LW, maybe Gamrot, it will be 100% unquestioned, since he'll have tied defenses over long LWs with two additional defenses over Volk.
