Khabibs striking is underrated and very entertaining. Imagine a guy who’s chin is you crackable, has cardio to fight at a high pace in round 1 until round 5, and is a jab merchant with reckless head movement. You can’t tell me that isn’t a fun striking style. As great as Jon striking is, his boxing is his major weakness. Lyoto Machida was countering Jon for every move he did, DC was giving Jon a ton of trouble with his boxing and pushing the pace and so was Guftason. Also you haven’t mentioned that Aspinall has an amazing chin, nearly every fight he’s been in, he’s taken bombs to the face with no effect.
@@amphibianenthusiast1887 But it’s still a weakness that Jon showed. Jon eventually found a way to force a counter to counter the counter but he also struggles in his first fight with DC where DC was having a lot of success with his hands, Jon was great at clinching and working off of that to win. In Jon vs DC 2, DC found a way to take away that clinching threat and was winning majority of the exchanges due to his boxing and constant pressure, Jon was throwing knees to counter, forcing DC do drop the right hand and eventually leading to a head Kick wobble and finish. Guftason was putting the pace in the first fight with his pressure and boxing and was winning until he started to slowdown slightly in round 3, allowing Jon to operate slightly more with the pace and edging himself a win. In the 2nd fight, he found a finish. Imagine someone with heavy hands, apply a ton of pressure and can defend takedowns as a decent level. Imagine Pavlovich vs Jon or especially Aspinall. Pavlovich had nearly the same reach and by far the hardest hitter Jon will face, if Pavlovich gets Jon close to the cage, I won’t be surprised if Jon gets layed tf out cold. Aspinall also has great enough wrestling where Jon’s wrestling isn’t as much of a problem, Aspinall does have the quickest hands in HW of all time, one of the best boxing that Jon will every face, the quickest heavyweight and hardest hitter Jon will face and Aspinall has a insane chin so imagine Aspinall vs Jon. I wouldn’t be surprised if Aspinal sleeps Jon in the first round. Aspinal is also the biggest, heaviest and tallest Jon would ever face.

Big NO on the Jones part. He always has problems against guys his own size, his boxing defense is shit. He's spamming leg kicks like Izzy and and falls apart whenever he doesn't have a reach advantage. If Reyes can outstrike you, you're not a striking goat.
I remember when I was getting into mma, watching Jon Jones’s highlights made me feel like he was kick boxer of beauty that everyone was hyping Isreal adesanya up to be. While Izzies fights largely consisted of like 5 kicks a round and were pretty hard to sit through.
Idek why he’s hated, He kinda looks like an annoying guy but even then that’s a stretch for how much people dislike Allen. He’s a good prospect that has good fights.
It’s just hard for people to fathom that Tom aspinall or Jon Jones would kill any person that’s ever lived in a tournament because there’s been so many people throughout history. It just shows you that most people lack fundamental critical thinking skills… cause yeah you can take any mutant 6’7 300 lbs of muscle you want that was captain in the spartan army, and he’s getting choked unconscious in 30 seconds
Jones has fantastic kicks, elbows and knees. Both in fundamentals and in creativity. His only weakness is his average boxing coupled with his low punching power. He's solid everywhere else on the feet.
Aljamain sterling definitely should have got a mention bc prior to the knee he was on a tear and then he still defended his belt multiple times. I'll admit i was pissed about the knee and how he handled it, but he made it up. Fans and even the ufc disrespected him which is so dumb. He even made kattar look like an amateur and yet people consider it a bad win even though those sequences were handled so well.

*Makhachev:* By far one of the most underrated. 😂 🤣😂😅 Its hilarious, dude has a community of utterly butt hurt haters who, perform physics defying mental gymnastics to find something they could criticize him about.... always something they would never criticize another fighter about.
2 things: 1 - Petr Yan is a super underrated grappler, dude legit was a better wrestler than Merab, Merab just never stops. If you shoot 49 times you better get more than 20% success and you better at least be able to hold someone down in the last round when they should be exhausted. 2 - I wouldn't be surprised if an unknown but trained person won the worldwide tournament. Hear me out, I've been around enough to know there's tons of unfound people who are incredibly skilled, not only in gyms, in every aspect of our society theres super talented people who never get found but can whoop pros at whatever job. I can totally see a case where some guy who is trained actually wins that tournament. We've seen it before where a relatively unknown person beats the superstar.
Great point about Wonderboy and Janek ❤ Thank you actually in regards to Jan and pointing that out. Lets see if he still has it after a very bad injury
His kicking game and Muay Thai / clinch striking alone makes him one of the best strikers ever. Look at his performance against Gus in the rematch, against DC 2x and against glover and tell me he’s not elite.
@@lucastracymma8764 He's not even an elite kicker. Most elite fighters middleweight and under kick better than him. His clinch, ground game, chin and cardio carried him hard in his prime.
@@ZaharJudah Hahahahaha! Jones' striking defence consists of backing up in a straight line with his arms and fingers extended out towards his opponent. He gets away with it most of the time because heavy fighters are garbage and he fought midgets for most of his career.
Its possible that the best first fighters ever were pankration athletes (ancient Greek mma). That was one of the national sports for hundreds of years, when mma has now has only been around for 40 ish years (obviously boxing, wrestling and judo for example are much older though). Of course now technique and advancements spread easier with global communication etc. But you had minds like Plato who was involved in wrestling at a high level for example. Hundreds of years of human thinking about technique, training approaches etc. John danaher thinks their grapplers were probably better, possibly mma would be as well. Mindset is also interesting to consider. People lived considerably harder lives, fought battles where they had to disembowel cunts and shit. The ultimate seeing red bro
Anyone who claims Jon Jones is a grappler first isn’t hardcore, they are new fans that only know Jon from his later career and haven’t seen him being the youngest Champion in the UFC
Least important thing about any fighter (if you're a fan of *fighting* & not a bread & circus NPC) is "entertainment". Great fighting is de facto entertaining.
"nuclear take" I think you can become a hardcore fan pretty easily if you keep watching fights, even if you started watching Conor/Izzy/Masvidal/Diaz/Khabib
I feel like most casual fans call grapplers boring unless they have multiple quick submission or ground and pound finishes. Examples are Khamzat’s fight few fights and Jailton Almeida before the Derrick Lewis fight
Jones is a good striker but his reach provides effective distance management and him being roided to the core allows his strikes to hurt the other guy .
Santos, Vitor, OSP, Rampage all caught on steroids or admit it that’s form top of my head which I’m sure old man 40 y/o champ champ DC was too. I’m sure you look up online you’ll find many of mines opponents were caught or admit to ped usage
16:37 Exactly, every time I hear this, I just think to myself, that people watch to many movies and need a dose of reality. Respect has to be shown towards the time spent training…point blank
I was someone who neither liked bjj or wrestling in the beginning. Then i saw either the Khabib vs Edson or Johnson fight. And he became my favorite fighter instantly. I don’t like when people just lay on top of people and don’t do anything and then i just thought it was boring. But Khabib was so awesome to see and exciting and to this day I would say he’s my favorite fighter of all time. But Islam is getting there for me (but i would say he’s way more of a stand up fighter)
Islam and Khabib are entertaining because their fighting style is so astonishingly technical. It's easy to take the technical aspects of striking for granted because we just like seeing people slug it out anyway, but appreciating their ability to control their opponents for prolonged periods of time requires zooming in and actually analyzing how they play. Dustin put it best: Khabib knows where to put his weight to keep his opponents at disadvantageous positions. Their style of takedown isn't ordinary; once you're down, you stay down and remain pressured. And because of how well they do takedowns and ground control, it's equally entertaining to see people who can actually RESIST their tactics. I mean take a look at Volk vs Islam 1; Volk denied Islam all of his ground control tools. He could have very well won it if Islam wasn't a decent striker himself, which also means he could have also handed Khabib his first loss if the latter stayed longer. Their style of fighting makes you want to engage in what-ifs, THAT's why they're entertaining. They make you think.
Nah, my guy gets all the attention during a fight. He deserves it, I would say though someone like Rob Font doesn't get enough attention, not the best bantamweight but always has heart in a fight such as the one with Vera and Aldo, not to mention Figuerado, he lost all of them, but was still throwing down.

only for 3 rounds when jones wasnt taking it as serious as the 4th and 5th and the way jones striked at that time he wasn’t rven use to ppl his size blitzing in while throwing kicks
@YahArieh yep the greatest of all time, the champion of the world, is not taking fighting seriously. Best mindset for fighting
@@ZaharJudahhe was taking it serious. The reason he couldn’t outstrike reyes is because reyes is better than him. Jones had to wait until reyes started slowing down
@@Totalnikkadeathso reyes isn’t better than him
I think you missed out on Daniel Cormier.
His brand of wrestling was the most fun to watch along with his fast hands.
That dude was a treat to watch and had so many finishes.
MMA Guru seems to be cashing in on the popular "Dagestani privelage" and "Dagestanis' are boring" take
Yeah he is the one who created that absurd narrative because he is 🤡 racist
@@Asiyah2000guru looks like Dagestanis though. Look at him and shara bullet how is he racist
@ssglbc1875 Dagestani don't have hair in their mouth and pick their noise and eat lol go take a hike 🤡
Daggi privilge is real
@@zappersolo7588 Lol, no there isn't, look what happened to Magomed
Aspinal is soooo underrated, his speed is crazzzzyyyy
No he isn’t, his boxing is worse than guys like JDS, his grappling is weak compared to DC or Werdum.
Francis with a torn ACL would bumrush him
@@DADRB0B55 ur coping dude aspinal has a bunch of finishes in under a min how is that not fast buddy?
@@DADRB0B55Stop this bullshit man. Aspinall has a better boxing technique than any heavyweight. He has perfect combinations, head movement, footwork....
He has a 100% takedown accuracy and take down defense.
Definitely DC is a better wrestler than him but Aspinall is the better grappler. DC can't keep his opponents down.
Bro that 18-9 guy Werdum is not a match for Aspinall. He got destroyed by Volkov🤣
26:16 the lucas tracy theme
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I SWEAR I WAS THINKING THIS! Can’t be a Lucastracy list video without this😂😊
Big NO on the Jones part.
He always has problems against guys his own size, his boxing defense is shit.
He's spamming leg kicks like Izzy and and falls apart whenever he doesn't have a reach advantage.
If Reyes can outstrike you, you're not a striking goat.
He still wins those fights other than Reyes
1 out of 29 opponents you brought up and he still won that fight 😂Wannabe hardcore so bad
I remember when I was getting into mma, watching Jon Jones’s highlights made me feel like he was kick boxer of beauty that everyone was hyping Isreal adesanya up to be. While Izzies fights largely consisted of like 5 kicks a round and were pretty hard to sit through.
you been killing it recently with videos, ideas and views man. Already over 20k not even 9h after posting
why ain’t CM Punk on this?? Punk had a skill set that brought so much fans. he was pretty much an early day Conor mcnugget
Gamrot is an underrated grappler, his fight against Arman was great
arman you mean
@@ItsameAlex yeah my bad 😂. I changed it now. Thanks
People say Arman is boring. Dude is all action never faint and step back. Pure pressure
Thank you for the khabib and islam takes
gotta respect the brotha brotha wrestling
Brenden Allen gets no credit and is always in some entertaining scraps, lands lots of elbows
Absolutely right 💯💯
Blachowicz and Thompson and such nice guys too! Keep it up champs
We need a list of fighters that get too much credit. Silva, Jones, Adesanya etc
No one gives Silva that much credit nowadays. Everyone calls him overrated nowadays aside from the old men who has been watching mma since 1999.
Lucas Glazy has exceeded the MMA Guru
mma guru has just been so bias recently though
Fat neckbeard MMA guru could never compare to our cookbook king flukas glazy
the tom aspinall being able to defeat any man in history has to be the most hilarious side story of any youtube channel I can recall in recent memory
Absolutely my kinda video.
Jones has fantastic kicks, elbows and knees. Both in fundamentals and in creativity.
His only weakness is his average boxing coupled with his low punching power. He's solid everywhere else on the feet.
The intro scared me. I thought we were gonna get a slide show, monolog
I sorta agree with the Jon jones one, he just can’t box but you’re on point with everything else
keep dodging the wobblestone cobblestone and granite chin tier list lil bro. we will keep commenting.
Good point!
Fr aljo needs some respect I love it when he gets on his hands and knees in front of other grown men to avoid being kneed
@@hotelmoscow8665 Still beat yan, henry, kattar, cory, and tj. Then if you're going to say that then mention henry vs merab bc Henry was right in merab's crotch literally and I like henry (that was hard to watch him lose like that).
he's a good fighter I just really want that rule changed to see if him and merab wouldn't get folded by those same guys they can beat with the no grounded knee rule@@galaxyvulture6649
remember when you said that ufc 300 “wasn’t gonna make any sales”😭
Tom Aspinall hasn’t proven enough imo. If Jones retires after fighting Stipe and Tom clears out the division and gets some defenses he definitely has a case
Good takes Lucas. I completely with you in this video.
Dennis Siver been getting disrespected since forever. Dudes an animal and probably the Goat
Aspinall also has very underrated head movement. Who else do you see slipping and rolling punches at heavyweight.
Lucus glazy back at it again
Bro 42 thousand views in two days?? That’s fucking awesome Lucas!
Yoel still competing at 47 is just insane though
Khabib and Islam aren't boring, true. It's the people who think they are them but cant do shit as soon as someone knows how to defend. One day someone will have an answer for Islam and hes gonna look lost if he cant wrestle and he'll just lay and pray like they always do
Comment was going normal, then just wtf at the end???
Nice unfalsifiable theory
Sandhagens been in the lab with the beakers going
We need a meaty hooks tier list part 2 flukas 🙏🙏
*Makhachev:* By far one of the most underrated.
😂 🤣😂😅 Its hilarious, dude has a community of utterly butt hurt haters who, perform physics defying mental gymnastics to find something they could criticize him about.... always something they would never criticize another fighter about.
Pre champ Islam was boring as hell but hey still really good
Lucas has a point about Tom Aspinall, he arguably is the most dangerous person in human history
Most fans who trash Khabib and Islam simply don't like their fan base, if you check with them... they like Khabib and Islam.
An unknown trained person would get knocked the fuck out or get choked out unconscious within seconds by any decent heavyweight mma fighter...
love you bro
Great point about Wonderboy and Janek ❤
Thank you actually in regards to Jan and pointing that out.
Lets see if he still has it after a very bad injury
The tom aspinall glaze i think is crazy
Jones can’t box to save his life and has awful defensive footwork. This video proves you’re a casual.
His kicking game and Muay Thai / clinch striking alone makes him one of the best strikers ever. Look at his performance against Gus in the rematch, against DC 2x and against glover and tell me he’s not elite.
His boxing defense is better then 90% of the ufc and it showed when he slipped cirly into that take down your the casual
Ppl who say “oh no rules blah blah blah” have never been in an actual fight with someone who can fight. Lol
I don’t even need to see Islam wrestle anymore his striking is so fun to watch
Liked the longevity part, very underrated.
Anthony Smith fights are never boring too
the new format is really good
People need to appreciate Chael Sonnens undefeated record more
Its possible that the best first fighters ever were pankration athletes (ancient Greek mma).
Helping out with Tom aspinal. Don't forget how an 8yo scared Eddie hall with one kick.
you should make top 10 best strikers in ufc history
1 not Izzy
2 not Izzy
3 not Izzy
4 not Izzy
5 not Izzy
6 not Izzy
7 not Izzy
8 not Izzy
9 not Izzy
10 not izzy
The hate for the dagistanis mostly comes from the mma guru guy
Least important thing about any fighter (if you're a fan of *fighting* & not a bread & circus NPC) is "entertainment". Great fighting is de facto entertaining.
"nuclear take" I think you can become a hardcore fan pretty easily if you keep watching fights, even if you started watching Conor/Izzy/Masvidal/Diaz/Khabib
Khabib’s striking is top 5 of all time- Lucas Tracy Probably
Gotta go with Shamil on this one 🔥
i saw that post u were talking abt, some dude was saying that tom aspinall couldnt strike with orlovski and had to go "dagestani wrestler mode" 🤣
When Aspinall gets a takedown, you get your submission in 30 seconds or less or your pizza is free
What?
I was someone who neither liked bjj or wrestling in the beginning. Then i saw either the Khabib vs Edson or Johnson fight. And he became my favorite fighter instantly. I don’t like when people just lay on top of people and don’t do anything and then i just thought it was boring. But Khabib was so awesome to see and exciting and to this day I would say he’s my favorite fighter of all time. But Islam is getting there for me (but i would say he’s way more of a stand up fighter)
Tracy got aura
😂😂 I absolumtely love this guy una
Lucas’s picks are definitely not underrated
Truly the embodiment of flip a coin
Leon Edwards should be more hated.
He is more boring than belal and people think he is entertaining because he threw one head kick
Yan is most definitely underrated 💯
Nah, my guy gets all the attention during a fight. He deserves it, I would say though someone like Rob Font doesn't get enough attention, not the best bantamweight but always has heart in a fight such as the one with Vera and Aldo, not to mention Figuerado, he lost all of them, but was still throwing down.
Jon Jones has mid boxing and severely lacks punching power thats what drags his striking down slightly
