I just installed crossmix on mine and it has a built in scraper which makes everything so easy for getting the game artwork etc. The stock os didn't have that so if someone wanted to set up their own romslist before crossmix existed that would have been a very tedious task. I love this device! If you get it from aliexpress in a sale it's an absolute bargain. I got mine for just under £50 delivered to the UK. 😁
I bought the Trimui Smart Pro as my first retro handheld last winter based on your video. Have to say I've been super pleased with it. So much so i want to go back and get this "remix"
I love you TechDweeb! I'm slowly putting together my own retro tech shrine to relive my childhood safe space. One of the most valuable things I've learned is connecting to my inner child, and creating the environment little me loved helps with that.
The "ultimate" trimui smart pro is : 1. Crossmix os 2. Upgraded battery to 6000mah ( as long as the battery size fit) 3. Heatsink on cpu (not stock thermal pad)
Dweeb's humour ("you should start a fire...!") is the reason i subscribed to his channel over the 1000s of others. It's quality content, don't get me wrong, but it's what tips the balance imo.
So nice to see my fav cheap 5" handheld get upgrades! It's so much fun to use as is though, so this might not be needed by me...but still this is really cool and $40 for a good SD card(!!) and this OS might be worth a try. Thanks for the heads up Mr. Dweeb!
I can’t get many games that I own working easily on the TrimUI Smart Pro with CrossMix (Quakes, TMNT), so it’s definitely a value-add to get that card. I bought just the card using your link. If I like any of the other commercial ports, I’ll be sure to buy the original games.
Ok this is dope! I would LOVE to see more retailers do custom builds like this! It's a fantastic way to show how dedicated to the scene they are and how much passion they have for it all. Great work @litnxt!

Idk man, they're asking $116 with a 256gb card, plus shipping? I think I'm gonna have to stick with the one I got for 50 bucks. I got it specifically for the value and quality. It has a 256gb too, lol. Maybe not configured as well, but I can handle that!
Could be worth it to someone who’s rich and has kids etc./doesn’t have time to do the setup work. Personally I think it’s always worth it to get your own collection of games together and set them up yourself with guides. That’s half the fun for me!
I’ve been researching retro handhelds for months now… Today, I finally bought the Trimui Smart Pro. Your videos on it were definitely decisive factors on making this decision. You’ve definitely earned your reputation in this scene!
Wassup Dweeb? I purchased this one and I LOVE IT!!! This and my Miyoo mini plus are my FAVS! I like my anbernic but not as muh as this system! Thanks 4 helping me decide! Your my 100 percent favorite you tuber! Keep shining pal!
Great analysis! I liked that you gave your honest opinion, even in points you didn't like, such as the ports games. You can see that it's an honest review, congratulations!
If you had $100, and you didn't have a steam deck, and you don't have any other handhelds, this is pretty amazing as a SINGLE device for a good price. However, this kinda sits in between on power too. I would rather have a cheaper smaller more pocket friendly device in this category OR save for a stronger more ergonomic handheld... this one is kinda sitting in the middle. It's seemingly well priced, but not for me.
Yeah that's a good way to put it. That's why I called it the 'jack of all trades' device. It's not amazing at any one thing, but it does lots of things good, so it'd be good for someone who doesn't have other devices for dedicated purposes.
Hey @TechDweeb I really like my smartpro and recently upgraded to the Cross Mix os. Cross Mix is excellent and makes the smartpro shine. Your review videos are awesome, and I wouldn't have found this handheld without you, thanks man! Great work! Question for ya: Does this card have the game FirePower for Amiga???
The TrimUI Smart Pro is my favorite go to device, when I don't have time to pull out my Switch or my SteamDeck. Love this and play it often. Thanks. (Oh, I've had mine for about 6 weeks now).
I just bought a TrimUI Smart Pro last week! Bought it with no SD card though. I plan to get my own, probably a 512GB SandDisk or Samsung card, load it with my own 1g1r set, and do the rom scraping myself. Also planning to use Crossmix. Should be a fantastic little system! Oh speaking of which, make sure to switch it from OpenGL rendering to Vulkan wherever possible, especially for heavier 3D systems. With Vulkan enabled, 90% of PSP games *should* work at 2x rendering with no frameskip and still maintain full speed. I imagine Dreamcast will also not need frameskip, if it has Vulkan rendering as an option (though I'm not positive if it does)...
Best intro for a video ever! It's so good I'm scared to go outside now. Though that's ok as going to get a TrimUI Smart Pro so I'll never have to leave my home again.

Not sure what to get him now these handhelds are all kinda the same but vastly different at the same time.

The amount of options is so overwhelming. I'm looking for something that can reliably play up to (and including) all Nintendo 64 games for $100 or less.
