But what if I don’t hav a car? How am I supposed to get replacement keys?
Frankly this service sounds kind of scary.
The ultimate car heist in process, What could go wrong with all those pictures.
Car keys Express is a terrible company. The only good thing about them is that they are cheaper than the competition because they put out garbage. I used to work in a business that used their products and it was such sh*t. Support was non-existent. Best of luck. Any sucker who decides to order from them
Car keys Express is a terrible company
I love that Xyla released a video just yesterday about doing a whole project using solar and then along comes Emily to balance the world out.
I love that Xyla doesn't need a last name here. If you know Emily, you know Xyla, and vise versa.
Need William Osman to make a nuclear powered one now to complete the triangle.
@@JosephCatrambone
I think Cody is up for it 😂
@@lordfly88I don't know Xyla, so thanks for the channel suggestion! 😁
@@bader51500 Fusor printer when?
I love that you bought a motor that costs the same as a generator and then made a worse generator out of it.
They also used an inverter to turn the DC power into AC to feed a power supply that turns AC into DC.
Efficiency was not a goal of this project.
to be fair they specified that it was out of an old pressure washer
Between the oil and the microplastics, this seems like something a captian planet villain would have
"Most american way possible"
Emily still hasnt realized im canadian.
im in danger
Ah, a 'future' american. Welcome!
It's fine, Canada is just America's fancy hat
Ew. You are a North Wisconsinite?
Doesn't Canada have heaps of oil? Maybe don't tell her that or she might occupy you.
She's going to try and run a print on Maple Syrup now.
now you can take your 3d printer for a walk!
Casters! Casters! Casters!
*REMOTE CONTROL GASOLINE 3D PRINTER*
Z-axis wobble’s gonna go hard with this one
More like all axis😂
emily introduced this video like it's a tucker carlson segment im dyingg
Now this is the content I come to YT for.
The funny thing is, if that genset can generate 100-plus volts, then it can easily power 3D printer without any inverter, since modern power supplies have a huge input range and convert AC into DC internally anyways.
Does that mean you can just push DC into them and it'll still make good DC? Asking for an off grid setup.
@@JamesRowlandsRocks exactly! Except, DC value should be a bit higher than AC value. About 1.44 times higher
I use mine off grid. We have 12x 100 watt solar panels 6 wired series, 6 wired series, then both arrays wired parallel. These go thru an 85 amp charge controller to 500Ah of lipo 4 batteries, this runs a 2kw inverter. I run my ender 3 on it all day and still stay in float charge..
I came here to say the same thing.
@@JamesRowlandsRocks Yup, a typical modern supply rated for wide range 100-240vac input can be fed with anywhere from 100-400vdc and still work fine, although obviously you want to avoid the extremes of the range. 130-370 VDC should be safer. There are more safety considerations because switches and fuses may not properly interrupt high voltage DC so be careful.
I just want to say I’ll never forget Car Keys Express. This was the best ad I’ve accidentally watched in months.
I love converting a gas engine, to a DC motor, to an AC inverter, back to an AC to DC power supply.
I suspect the AC to DC power supply is probably switch mode, so will have recified the AC to DC to chop up into a different AC waveform. It may well have just accepted 110v DC quite happily.
I was just thinking of removing the AC to DC power supply, and replacing with a 12v or 24v regulator to step down the original output of treadmill motor
You got to go further than that, the dc then gets turned into ac to get stepped up/down, rectify to dc, fed into motor drivers that turn it back to ac (well kinda) for the motors
Ah yes, the best PWM replacement, D A N.
Should've fed the inverter into a UPC battery backup
4:24 Dan's sciatic nerve showing up in the video after that adventure🤣🤣
A young 20ish year old woman used a scene from a show that is older than her. That made my day.
This is quickly becoming my favorite youtube channel
So in the same weekend Xyla powers a CNC router with solar power and Emily powers a 3D printer with gasoline. (Edited spelling)
Penalties offset each other, remains 2nd down
CNC?
@@802Garage yes, my bad. CNC.
@@robinbaksh9023 All good!
That Elegoo Giga needs to be afraid. Very afraid.
I'm so pleased they've got one. If anyone will realise its full potential for chaos, it's Emily.
Amazing you definitely need to make a backpack version😂
Famous Last Word " Just because u could, doesn't mean u should"
I feel like 3d printing outdoors brings it's own sets of issues even if power was fine like fluctuating temperatures cooling the print to fast and such
Based on experience, I *think* a lot of small gas engines have a governor to maintain a set speed, so you just need to tweak that to maintain the revs under varying loads, thus negating the need to have Dan manually doing the speed regulation (If it does have one, it's usually a long-ish lever thing coming out the crankcase and connecting to the carb via a linkage and spring). Excellent and hilarious video btw.
I think printer could run on 110-130V DC directly from treadmill motor. Most modern AC power supplies convert AC to DC to convert it back to AC but with very high frequency for use small transformer.
Can we talk about the Elegoo in the room?
Eh? Eh?... Get it? Kus there's a...
Ill show myself out.
your chaos energy is amazing.
"I don't hate the planet, I swear" you sure about that?
I never truly understood how important your videos were to humanity until now
I'm sure someone else has already said this, but couldn't you add a battery in line to act as a large capacitor? Wouldn't that even out the voltage?
You could but then it would become a partially battery-powered 3d printer.
The Orange Storm in the background... what mega-sized problem will you solve with that lol OMG
Came to the comments to see if anyone else noticed that. I can't wait to see what comes from that thing
im so glad he found his keys lol this project is badass
In this episode, Emily invents
a generator
Dude the timing of this video is perfect! I need new car keys
I felt that “It’s not level” 😂 6:43
excited about what monstrosity you will make with the orangestorm giga
Oh it’ll be a monstrosity all right
Just wanted to say that moving the gabtrys back and forth like that quickly sends backvoltage to the mainboard... which could easily fry it.
if you added a car battery to the circuit, the voltage would've been smoothed substantially
That was fun! There must be a bunch of very eccentric ways to generate the 12V @ 15A needed to drive the printer. For example, we could use a bunch of old 12V stepper motors attached to a bicycle as a generator, regulating the current with a moped battery…. Maybe a gravity powered generator could do the trick for shorter print jobs….
When I subscribed to this channel 3 years ago I knew it would eventually paid off. It has greatly overcome my expectations.
Your videos are actually so good
can't wait to see what you make with the orange storm giga
As hard as you needed those keys I thought it was going to be like some kind of a tracking device for your keys
You guys are hilarious!! Happy to see your channel growing. :)
new fav video on this channel confirmed
80-130Vdc? It sure would be nice if most modern switch mode power supplies (like the one in your 3D printer) could deal with such a range of input voltages,AC or DC,then you wouldn't need an inverter at all. Oh,wait.. Now you know!
There is also something called a battery
One week later and more gas powered creations have been made. Hacksmith made a gas powered one-wheeler so maybe they were inspired to also do something clunky with gasoline.
I think it's hilarious that she's Reinventing the generator😂😂😂
So you are saying I should send them a photo of my lost keys and they will send me a copy? 😂
Okay, next step is make it truly “your baby” by getting an inverter generator, mounting generator and printer in a stroller, and go for a walk while it prints little plastic baby toys?
No one does production better. Period.
i feel like i'm watching an ad about touching grass and going outside
"the rain is starting soon"
Time to make a 3d printer work underwater
Some crazy Poles did that already 😉
Don't forget that there are these things called
"Gas powered portable generators"
That would make for a real fucking short and boring video, Doctor.
Love you Emily. Never stop being completely goofy.
I see you found the 3d printer tree
The Adidas pants and crouching to work give off gopnik vibes.
Human PID controls! I felt that one.
I was actually just drawing up plans for a butane powered hotend
Imagine using a generator to generate electricity! That's never been done before!!
i was so afraid that the branch was gonna break
THE GIGA!!!!! That'll make for some great videos!
I was only half-paying attention when you brought up the shirt, and thought it said "Ceci n'est pas une drill" or something in parody of The Treachery of Images, so I wanted to let you know you should do a variant like that.
These two people are exactly why engines have low oil sensors on them❤❤❤❤😂😂😂 thank the manufacturer for saving your engine
what's funny is the newer inverter generators that have an "eco" mode literally do what you guys were doing with the throttle, but automagically. i think they have capacitors to leave a little headroom to bridge the gap of time it takes the motor to speed up. oh and inverters are usually flexible with input voltage so you might have been able to get away with more rpm. especially since load will slow it anyway (assuming you measured the output voltage without a load)
forgot to mention, 3D printers can handle DC supplies because they have a full bridge rectifier
You guys are hilarious. You should make more videos. 🎉🎉
So I just saw you thrusting the 3 axis of the printer to power it. But now here's the real challenge. Make a dynamo jig to power a 3d printer while air thrusting and print something with it. The whole human race is counting on you. God speed.
😂 Best thing I have seen in a while, just a recommendation but try using a voltage regulator a d run the tredmil motor at let say 36v and regulate it down to 12v and power the printer directly instead of using the inverter and powering the printers power supply
You did it again Emily. Made me question my life choices.
YES A NEW VIDEO!!!!!!!!!
Morley Kert went the solar route. No problems. Should’ve tried that.
Just get an electrical student to build you a microcontroller to be able to control a solenoid based on the variables from the Ender
This is my favourite thing.
You should have put a car batteries in the middle, put the engine charge the battery and then do your conversion from the stable batteries to run the printer. But with all electronics and converters laying in boxes in most peoples storage areas, there are literally hundreds you could’ve done this with the same or better results. to buy and store propane generators that pick up for under $200. I’ve got one I’ve had for 12 years. That’s never let me down 4000 W for weeks at a time off propane 20 pound tank runs it for 12 hours. There’s a hurricane the easiest thing to find it doesn’t require electricity. To pump is propane. Currently, I’ve got 130,000 W propane generator for the whole house now. I Put in a switch over panel to run the whole house.
Ender3 is that one default character of 3d printer
Only thing this video is missing is a sponsored portion with Anker Outdoor Battery
shes not dead guys!!
OMG Yes!, the unnecessary is dialed up! 10/10
Gas powered stick, it never runs out of gas
Convert gasoline to rotation, rotation to DC voltage, that you feed into a DC to AC inverter to feed the printer's power supply that converts it back to DC.
THAT'S American.
so, she made a low power generator. something that you can already buy and makes more power
Amazing idea.
I feel like i wouldve tried to figure out how comercial generators work instead of ramping the motor by hand to meet electrical requirements
and here i was thinking you would just adjust the voltage down to 24 volt to REPLACE the power supply lmfao
You should have added a Buck Boost Converter for Voltage stability
I am shocked this was not an april fools video.
oh yeah? my 3d printer is powered by a steam engine
Hear me out: put a battery in the circuit after the capacitor
Richter scale 7 vibrations = Printing kryptonite
The engineer legally classified as Emily
OIL!🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
I see that elegoo giga thing it massive 💀
You should attach the treadmill motor to a bicycle and power the printer that way.
i *think* there is something wrong with me. i started wheezing uncontrollably at the word 'photosynthesis' for some godforsaken reason
Next time just skip the 12V power supply and connect the 12V from a motor over a Capacitor bank directly to the printer wires.
I'm not sure if this would work but it's a try :D No need to produce 12V from Motor, to scale it up with 12V to 110V and the power supply just scales it down to 12V (Or 24V)
Thanks for you Vid
That won't work too well because of the lack of regulation. A better option is to connect the 130vdc output from the original pulley directly to the AC input of the 3D printer. Most modern power supplies (except cheap ones with a voltage selection switch) will run just fine from around 100-400VDC.
Ah yes, renewably sourced, all natural, green OIL. The good ol' American stand-by.
No 3D printers where hurt in the making of the video 🤣
12 v altenator and battery would smooth out the power emily
