    Rooting for Joao Almeida, for a stage win at least, and the overall win is definitely a celebration. But there's a lot of great riders as well, Primoz, Yates, etc. Hope he could wear the red jersey even once

    This year the grand tour organisators serve haevy plates from the start! No time for a warming up, if you are in bad shape you loose right from the beginning. If you have your day you may be in the leaders jersey forever. Don't forget to eat, for if you do you'll get kicked out right away and you pay the full price!

    Have to give credit for the Vuelta not being off to a bad start unlike last year. But can we please get some proper breakaway groups please? Just because it lead to a Kuss GC win last year doesn't mean we need to be cagey about them. Oh and less motor drafting please.
    The ideal scenario is for breakaways being used for intermediate sprint point competition in which Wout would surely light it up with.

      Nobody is interested to go in the breakaway in a stage like yesterday or today, we did see that in all Grand Tours this year already... Everybody knows that it is 200% sure that it will end in a sprint at the finish, thus nobody is gonna waste energy in a breakaway that has exactly zero chance.....
      This years Vuelta knows only three or maybe four chances on a sprintfinish, thus the few teams that took a sprinter will not let those few chances pass by.
      But don't worry we will get plenty of great breakaway stages later this Vuelta. I do count about seven or eight stages that should go to the breakaway. 😊

      7 or 8 break away stages I love the optimism ! Couldn't agree more re Sprinter s teams especially when they are Jumbo Quickstep Jayco etc GO JAY VINE will be great to see him Strutt his stuff after a long Lay off let's not forget this guy is a real talent that could WIN A GRAND TOUR @ some point in the near future !

      We did race one time trial and two sprint stages so far.... At which particular moment did you expect Kuss to shine ?!? It's not like these are stages where you will see him in the front...
      I do agree with you that he will never win a Grand Tour again, and even a podium will be difficult. But making any judgement about him after two sprint stages and a ITT is a bit weird.... What will you say if he wins the stage tomorrow, or does finish with the first who cross the line ??

    • @savagepro9060
      @savagepro9060 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@swissbiggy Yes, he may finish with first who crosses the line, or even win tomorrow's stage, but the great expectation of the Eagle of Durango is snuffed out.
