Soooo yummy. I made this today. I have never cooked vegan dinners before, this will defo be a weekly dinner in our house. Currently holding myself back from going for more. I bought the Happy Gut course. Finding the videos like above very handy while cooking, thats guys 👍👍👍👍
I’m a colon cancer survivor and really appreciate the low FODMAP recipes, guys! Thanks!! This is, absolutely, the BEST vegan dish I’ve EVER had!! Smooth, ultra-tasty, and so fun to put together. This will definitely be on my Thanksgiving table.
Just tried this, and it was amazing! I used spinach instead of basil (and added some dry basil instead) and used another flour. I'm totally going to cook this again!
I just cooked it, it is so delicious. I watch your channel for couple years now, and never cooked anything, but this one looked so good that I gave it a try. Excellent. Wanted to say thank you! I found that I would need more aubergine and sweet potato for that amount of tomato sauce. But the flavour game happening here is just amazing and super well balanced.
I’m so happy to see Dave back for the past couple of videos. You’re always a joy to watch alone anyway, Steve, but I was getting worried! And as a complete sweet potato junkie, this recipe looks like heaven on earth. 😍🤤
This episode was great because the ingredients were all things I use regularly and it's only main 4 steps. I leave out the extra salt and it still tastes great! thanks guys
Excited to try this, definitely my kinda meal with all those roast veggies, the Italian flavours and creamy sauce mmmmm - looks seriously tasty! thanks guys.
I love aubergine or Eggplant, here in America. Looking forward to making this. Thanks guys❤ Blessings and lots of love from a longtime Sub/Viewer, Piper
Yum!!! This looks insanely delicious 🙂 Covid has killed any entertaining at my home, but this looks so perfect to serve at a get-together with friends. And that tomato sauce you created? Wow! That looks sooooooo amazing!!!! Do you think it would freeze well? That's a lot for one person 😁
I can usually find some at an Asian market bit you can use green onions. If you cant find any green ones then maybe just use shallots or regular onions, but I wouldnt add as much.
Would arrowroot work in place of the rice flour and is arrowroot low fodmap, one site says it is low fodmap. I usually don't use oil or only very little oil, is there something that could replace oil in the white sauce ?
If you buy the course do you have the information for life or only for a period of time?? I mean do you have to complete it in 4 weeks and after completion will you still have all the recipes etc? Thank you.
Arent both sweet potatoes and aubergines medium to high fodmap? Okay, idk about one serving of this, because with fodmap it is all about the amount. But I guess Im being realistic - it looks so delicious I would want to have at least 2 if not 3 servings :D but as someone who tries to practice low fodmap day to day I try to think about this :D
If one of you is single, i am looking for a vegan husband that can cook 😂 i don’t have the skills, patience or supplies to do that but it looks delicious!
Remember you're popular here across the pond and we call aubergines> Eggplant and that you are using Celsius when using your oven for baking. We here in the USA would think that 180Degrees would be too low and nothing would bake or cook.

I used to love this dish back in the days I was still a vegetarian. Haven't eaten it in years, so thanks a lot for sharing a vegan alternative!

Love the idea of using the sweet potatoes! I love putting eggplant parm on sub sandwiches too 🥖🍅
Thanks this is so good 👍🏼😄💚
Ooh nice idea with the sandwiches...
When you spooned it onto the plate my mouth started salivating 😋
What a beautiful recipe. It is a variant of the parmigiana. I like the idea of using sweet potato. It is a dish very suitable for this season.

@@thehappypear Thank you. You guys rock. We are eating a more varied, healthy diet than ever before......because of your twin power.
Loved this recipe but what can I use as a substitute for leeks? I don't get leeks where I live
I can usually find some at an Asian market bit you can use green onions. If you cant find any green ones then maybe just use shallots or regular onions, but I wouldnt add as much.
That looks so good any left?
Sorry we ate it all - delish 👍🏼😄💚
YUM
Oh I am so making this!!!🤤

Are the bread crumbs gluten-free?
How much of the oil could we do without in this recipe?
If you buy the course do you have the information for life or only for a period of time?? I mean do you have to complete it in 4 weeks and after completion will you still have all the recipes etc? Thank you.
That looks great but you used 7 or more tablespoons of oil for only 6 servings. Does it need that much?
Brilliant idea to use scissors to cut it.
What could be a substitute of red wine?
Black tea. Check out Jack Monroe, who found out that black tea can replace red wine quite well.
@@bayleyboy27 thank you! ill give it a try
Yo dudes!! Your recipes written link don't work anymore they redirect to a videogame website just fyi

Looks delicious!
What’s best to serve with this? Steamed veg or fresh salad maybe?
Fresh salad would be lovely and maybe some sprouted greens
Salad ,you already have lots of vegies in this dish !
I freaking love that you guys call it aubergine instead of eggplant. Haha
It’s aubergine here in Europe. I think only Americans call them eggplants.
Oh hell yeh! 🤤
Thanks a mill 👍🏼😄
❤️❤️❤️
Thanks a mill enjoy 👍🏼😄💚

Most of the gluten free bread in supermarkets has egg whites in it. 🤷🏻♀️
Breadcrumbs????????!!

Lmao wtf dude ? The world DOESNT need to cater to your country.
