I know this was made years ago, but I think the 4+ weapons could have had a section about how some of the elements are references. For example, the Trident being Fire is a clear reference to the fact that in some games like ALTTP, Ganon uses Fireballs and Fire Keese in addition to the trident, or Phantom Zelda's also being Fire being a reference to the Flame Phantoms. Some are original but there are still clear franchises references for some of the pairings.

Im going to be honest, this (and your costume references video) are my favorite videos on the entire website. I really enjoyed watching this the first time, and I like listening to this in the background while playing games. Good Job!
Stormy-Eyed Epona sort of resembles Red Hare as it appeared in Dynasty Warriors 7, with the orange mane and tail. I know that otherwise, though, it doesn't really fit much. It would have been pretty cool to see Link ride Red Hare, though.
also fire/dark to balance those water/light weapons although I think fire/light would work better if the dual element weapons used the effects of both elements. Which sadly they don't in this game. That would make some weapons even more busted
Actually, the Thief's Trident is more an original design. The trident from A Link to the Past is actually the same design from A Link Between Worlds, but a different color due to Yuga combining the trident with his staff. You can identify this by taking note of the skull shape on his sprite in ALttP, which is carried over to other trident-wielding iterations of Ganon (Oracle games, Four Swords Adventures, ALBW, and even Ganon in Hyrule Warriors), hence why the Level 2 version is called the King of Evil Trident, with "King of Evil" being a title frequently given to Ganondorf, especially his beast form. would say that the reason for making the King of Evil Trident appear as it does is because it's the most recent usage of Ganon with a trident.
Actually, Linkle's crossbow might come from the original idea for TP when the Crossbow was going to be introduced in combat. Stallord was going to be the final boss and the Crossbow would be used against it.
Linkle boots are coming from the forgotten and really good game "Zelda, The Minish Cap", and they are called Pegasus Boots! (you're video is really great whatsoever, good work!)
Zelda's loftwing in Skyward Sword is purple, not blue. Therefore, I think Linkle's Legends Crossbows are a connection to the two other goddesses Din and Nayru. So many of the fashion weapons look great with the Wind Waker pack costumes XD Her Wind Waker is the Wind Waker from Wind Waker's Wind Waker The Majora's Ocarina is a direct reference to Majora's Mask in Majora's Mask
Although Agitha's level 3 weapon has no reference or basis from the Zelda series, the bright pink color and the obvious crown at the top of her parasol is most likely a reference to Princess Peach in Mario instead, since Peach is depicted with a pink parasol in those games
IMO Ganondorf's 4+ swords also go pretty well with the costume that's just his design from Twilight Princess, since the swords' colours and light element match the Sage's sword he wielded in that game.
The burning gloves pair well with the goron tunic because they're well burning so of course they'd be usually painful for anyone but a goron to use unless they were wearing a goron tunic which is resistant to heat. Also Darunias dark fire hammer reminds me of the Magic eye glass.
27:21 The Crackling Great Fairy is interesting because her orange hair makes her resemble the Great Fairy of Magic from Majoras Mask, the one in the main town hub of Termina.
Darunia’s level 3 weapon also shares the name with the item from ocarina of time. He intended to use it to fight Volvagia but couldn’t find it in the Fire Temple.

14:54-21:52 My most favorite characters of this videogame so far are Link, Young Link, Zelda, Sheik, Lana, Impa, Cia, Volga and Linkle. And these are so far my most favorite weapons of this videogame: Link's Master Sword. Link's Level 4 Horse. Young Link's Level 4 Mask. Zelda's Level 4 Rapier. Sheik's Level 4 Harp. Lana's Level 4 Book of Sorcery. Impa's Level 4 Giant Blade. Cia's Level 4 Scepter. Volga's Level 4 Dragon Spear. Linkle's Level 4 Crossbows. In other words, the most powerful weapons of my favorite characters of this videogame.
I actually do think there are some references in the 4+ weapons. For example, I think Toon Link's level 4+ sword is meant to resemble the master sword, while Linkle's Lumious Crossbows are meant to reference the Bow of Light. Wizzro's Darkwater Ring might be a reference to his level 1 ring, actually, the blue ring. A few other of the choices for the elements might also be to match the colors of the original enough so that the weird change in colors doesn't throw to many people off, like the Liquid Goddess Blade for Fi, or the level 4+ harp for Sheik. The level 4+ for Link's Sword, Zelda's Rapier, and Ganondorf's Greatswords might be intentionally all made to be both Light and Dark, causing all 3 wielders of the Triforce to wield both Light and Darkness. Like, come on, the fact that all three of their main level 4+ weapons are both light and dark can't be a coincidence. Ganondorf's Trident and Yuga's frame at level 4+ are in a way perfect mirrors of each other. Yuga's level 4+ weapon gaining the fire element could also be because he actually has one fire element attack in his combos. Both being weapons of the Lightning element wielded by main antagonists that now also have the Fire element. Zelda's Liquid Baton might be because of all the Water themes in the Wind Waker. Twili Midna's level 4+ mirror is probably a reference to the light spirits. Cia and Lana's level 4+ weapons are also mirrors of each other, with Lana having a Lightning weapon that also gains Darkness while Cia has a Darkness weapon that gains Lightning. Tingle's level 4+ weapon could just be a very on the nose reference to water balloons. Skull Kid's 4+ Ocarina, like Wizzro's 4+ ring, could be a callback to his level 1 weapon, but I do think that might be a bit of a stretch. Volga's level 4+ weapon gaining Darkness could be a reference to how Volga initially didn't want to join Cia, but she corrupted him with Dark Magic. Young Link's level 4+ weapon could be Inflamed because of the Rage from using the Fierce Deity Mask or something, but that also feels like I'm just stretching it a bit. Lana's level 4+ summoning gate could also be a callback to her level 1 summoning gate. Tetra's 4+ cutlass being Light element as well could be a reference to her secret identity as Princess Zelda. As for the rest of the 4+ weapons? I'm not to sure, that's just my thoughts on it
So, the Dark Magic Sword and Gloomy Rapier... does it replace the Light element to Dark, or does it add Dark on top of the Light? Because if it does both, it could be amazing for both single-target and mass crowds.
It’s a bit confusing for weapons with dual elements. Her rapier still does light damage and cause the light effect on enemies, but it won’t inflict the darkness effect as well. Instead, the second element mainly comes into play when attacking captains and bosses, so like when you attack a boss weak to darkness(like Link), then they’ll take bonus damage from the darkness, especially when their weak point gauge appears.
Very glad to see the Wind Waker is from Wind Waker's Wind Waker, very concise lmao Seriously though this was a really good primer on all the weapons, thank you for the vid!

I'm not to sure, that's just my thoughts on it
The wooden frame could be connected to phantom ganon in the forest temple in ocarina of time
Yeah
They don't have the same patterns tho, Yuga's is just a simple wooden frame.
They are twilight weapons now
@@White_sentinel They are not.
Sooo where are those time codes

Nice save, dude.
Very glad to see the Wind Waker is from Wind Waker's Wind Waker, very concise lmao
Seriously though this was a really good primer on all the weapons, thank you for the vid!
You should have mentioned that all of linkles boots reference the pegasusboots and the hoverboots!
I really hope they remake skyward sword, twilight princess, and oot lot on the switch! My friend took my oot copy for 3ds......
Now we have skyward sword but...not TWILIGHT PRINCESS...sorry those 2 are my favorites and I don't have a wii u
The golden gauntlets are from specific enemies in Tri Force Heroes'
Sky Temple.
1:24, you mean Twilight Princess counterparts.
23:32 I think it even more funny when you know Book of Magic
in the original japanese version of Zelda 1 is the literal "Bible"
Implying Lana is fighting evil with an 8bit version of the holy book religious texts
I think Linkle level three crossbows look like light bows and are blue and red for light fire and ice arrows
