I heard Dr. J speak on this topic recently at the Nashville Area Association of Christian Counselors meeting. God has gifted him with such profound knowledge of the human brain! I am very burdened by how some mothers care so little about their pre-born children that they abuse their bodies, resulting in serious harm to their children even before they come into this world. Some even choose to abort their own flesh and blood. My husband and I have been unable to have children, although God knows that has been the desire of my heart. It really bothers me that some women who don't want children can have them, and I have not been able to have even one. I believe we all have a responsibility to protect the pre-born, because they are vulnerable and cannot protect themselves. I am borrowing the term "pre-born" from a doctor I once heard who preferred this over the word "unborn." He used "pre-born," because it describes a fetus, who is "not yet born." Jesus made it clear how he feels about these little ones. He said in Mark 10:14, "...Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." So aborting a child -- or passively standing by and not doing anything to protect that child--is forbidding that child of the opportunity of life! Our nation has a lot of blood on its hands for killing innocent precious babies. I pray that the Holy Spirit convicts those who in any way support the killing/abuse of these little ones!
