SpicyMeme Ball Because we are TAIWANESE!! We are not part of China so don’t just say we are all Chinese. Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, and Singaporean don’t call themselves Chinese. We are who we are.
Many countries have major influences from multiple other countries from its history as well. Taiwan might as well be a breakoff of China if you so choose to see it that way. But it doesn’t make it any less a country than any other. Especially if it is recognized by pretty much the whole world.
@@blackwhite9834 Most of us are Chinese ethnic, that's true. However, based on the composition of the population, Chinese ethnic is also the major of Singaporean (75%, 1st). When you say China, I hope you can define it first. If you mean the country called China, then there's no country called China, only the People's Republic of China or the Republic of China (Taiwan). These two authorities were separated for almost 70 years. If you say we share the same, 5,000-year history, that is true until we separate. After 1949, these two authorities walked on different paths. It's the same condition in Singapore or Malaysia or some countries Chinese ethnic people moved in. They share so-called 5,000 years of Chinese history, but they develop their own one after that. If your logic is "Taiwanese ppl share the same blood as the ppl in Mainland China, with simple logic you would know that Chinese Taipei is apart of China ", then the major ethnic of United State, Canada, Australia, New Sealand are European, can they join EU? Almost half of the people in Honolulu, Hawaii MSA are Chinese American, will they say that they are Chinese? No, they will say they are Chinese (adj.) American (n.). So is Taiwanese. Although Taiwan now is not really a sovereign state admitted by others, but we have our own people, authority, government, boundary, and we can vote for our own president. @@FoodforThought12345678dsds To each his/her own. 😊 You think they're overrated but they're something I have to have when I make the annual trip to Taiwan. 😊

Inga's back at it again with the Asian food content! I love these videos (even though they make me hungry) 😄 These vids really make me wanna try all the different kinds of Asian food there are out there 😋
I'm from Indonesia. I took collage at Taiwan a few years ago and I miss Taiwan by seeing this video. Take me back!! also, I'm gained 10kg when I lived at Taiwan lol
they are seriously hidden, look for the big giant bins instead. we make it a game to see who can find one. they used to be everywhere but I think people started to throw away their house trash in the public bins so they took them away lol.
The reason why you don't see any trash bins around Taiwan is because people living near the night market will toss their bags of garbage into the trash bins that's intended for the night market. Then the trash bin will overflow with a lot of trash and it will become a huge mess afterwards.
Ryan Beebe we throw them at convenience stores lol 😂 don’t worry there’s a consensus about that custom, and stores welcome it as long as you don’t bring a truck load of trash. (Kind of like japan)
"This is probably why I gain 10 pounds every single time I come here." FACTSSS i wanna go back to taiwan, hopefully this corona thing goes away soon so i can
RAOHE! I love Taiwanese food. The pepper buns at the entrance are the best, ditto the spicy fried chicken and basil. Also, that wrap with the peanut brittle, ice cream, and cilantro is awesome. I also tried fried stinky tofu (and when they say stinky I'm not lying, it smells like a mountain of trash) and actually enjoyed it. Plus it's also the birthplace of boba tea and Din Tai Fung. Underrated food destination.
I noticed in the video you say that you cannot find a garbage bin! I moved to Taiwan 3 months ago and I notice it too!!! NO bins around!!! I always have to bring my trash home!!! Sorry for the Garbage topic LOL nice video BTW!
There's a food stall hidden behind a shophouse temple that sells delicious meat broth 肉羹 and fragrant glutinious rice 油饭 . Of you're entering from the main entrance in your video, it's on the right side, about 3-5 minutes walk in. Thinking of it just makes me wish I am there now! :)
been there once and I would say the food there is really good and I can't believe there are foods i've yet to try in this video, definitely heading there again for my next vacation
One interesting fact about Taiwan is that they are banning GMO's to be used on animals and even plastic bags too. Even a lot of the meats that get imported for hot pot restaurants from Australia are GMO free as well. I miss Taiwan so much. My aunt and cousins are not too far from that night market as well!
