I have a Silver Jubilee from 1987 , small mean yet sweet mofo.So unique.
It also has so much nuance.I love the rhythm clip.
    Marshall is my fave.

I bought the 2554 combo in 1987 and still have it! I've fallen back in love with it recently and use a closed back 1 x 12 cab. The clean sound too is good. Mine was in black not silver (don't know why, where they a 'special' special edition?).

Got the Re-Issue Halfstack six months ago. It's my go to amp now.
Love my 2203 from 82 but the Jubilee is way more practical because the Master Volume reacts more sensibly and the added loop is a bonus. There is a bit of a learning curve in regards to the EQ but once you dial it in it's great! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

You're gonna need hearing protection and a LOT of distance between yourself and neighbors. You're also going to need it to be in a room where nothing can rattle off walls/shelves, otherwise lots of things are going to break.
This is why the studio versions exist and why 100 watt amps are no longer as popular. Modern players mic for gigs, so 20 watts is enough. And at home for practice, even a 5 watt Marshall is loud enough.

I used a Silver Jubilee 2554 1X12 combo as my main amp for 10 years, 1991-2001, it was an early production amp with a Celestion Sidewinder speaker. Perfect with my Les Pauls! I really regret selling it, one of only 2 amps I really regret selling, the other being my 1992 1962 Bluesbreaker Reissue!!
