Honestly this is exactly what Zelda needs - a pro player picking her up. I think she's got so much potential, but no big name is playing her so she's casted to the shadow. I hope Samsora sticks with her and refined his play, he could learn a few things from Ven, and if he gets nice results more people will be curious about picking her up and hopefully new combos and meta can be discovered.
Holy Shit Samsora is bringing some ownage for just picking up Zelda. Imagine once he gets a bit more experience. I don't think Samsora knows about Zeldas jab>down smash combo which is pretty nice.
@@miraculix743 Yes, it's nice to get people off map and ledge trap because of it's great horizontal knockback, which may for certain characters make it hard for them to get back too, especially if they have to airdodge because they don't have any height to drift down back to stage.
@@AIejandroide That statement doesn't speak of truth, rather of not-knowing... she is considered bad because you can't play her like most characters, and that doesn't fit for a lot well, you of course can, but it won't really lead to success in a lot of cases. Mostly she excells at baiting and punishing, but occassionally you can go more aggressive too if it's well timed She also has some interesting techniques which are pretty hard to pull of consistently like teleport-cancelling and (I don't know the official name, so I'll call it:) Phantom-hiding. Normally Zeldas Phantom spawns behind her, leaving her open to projectiles, and if Zelda gets hit while charging it, it breaks. But with some very specific execution of button presses you can make Zelda jump slightly behind the Phantom, and it acts as a shield while charging too. Mastering these two things for example makes Zelda way better
I think Samsora just needs to work on his Phantom placing. He tends to set up Phantom and charge forward to be aggressive. It defeats the purpose of the Phantom, you need to keep yourself distanced from enemies and space them out with it
