My husband has this disease too. He has had many chemos, two rounds of radiation, 2 surgeries. He's 41 months from stage 4 dx. He started with stage 3, 9 yrs ago. As the yrs go by the treatments can catch up to you and he has deficits now, but we still have him and we're so close as a family because of this exp.

I understand the feeling of what he had because when i was 3 and 6 years old, i had Brain Cancer. I was one time vomiting like 30 times in an hour and had insane head aches so i went to a doctor, got a checkup then i had to get an emergency MRI on my body, and they found a huge tumor that was the size of a lemon at the upper left of my brain. They saw it, and then did an emergency surgery to remove it and spent 4 hours getting it removed. after the surgery i stayed in a hospital in Nassau County NY for a month and then doctors told me and my family how if it was not removed within 48 - 72 hours, i would have died. In the hospital when i had chemotherapy it was pretty painful because of how much i felt like crap and the amount of times i vomited around night time after eating. After beating cancer for the 1st time, i had a scheduled MRI every 2-3 months.
After a while with no results of a tumor, when i was 6 they found another growing tumor around the same area. My parents told me and my brother about it and since i understood it more because I was older, i knew it was a very dangerous thing. I had a scheduled surgery a week later and had another successful surgery. i was in the hospital for 3 weeks and it was my worst experience. i remember my neck and shoulders would have very sharp pain if i move it more than like 35 degrees to the side, which really sucked because nearly every night i vomited more than 5 times because of the chemotherapy and me having to lean to my trash can was really painful. around the last week there the pain stopped and i had a lower vomit rate, and doctors told my parents that they think my tumor wont ever grow again unless it somehow reforms from very small tumor cells that are not removed somehow. I got out of the hospital and I was happy that i didnt have to go through that struggle again.
When i was 9 years old, in late august my mom got called about how they saw something that looked like a tumor cell but wasnt 100% sure. Luckily it was still in its small form so in just over a month we got a surgery schedule for mid october, and got it removed in a 2 hour surgery. I then stayed in the hospital for 3 days because they discovered it wasnt an actual tumor, but also wasnt a piece of my brain so i didnt go through chemotherapy again.
Now i am 14 years old, living my life with an MRI every 6 months and since then i never had any problems with my brain.

My soulmate had a seizure eventually diagnosed brain tumour had sugery radiotherapy and chemo he died exactly 1year from diagnosis went from very healthy and fit person never sick to having to rely on help. Problem with brain surgery there is nearly always minute cells that can't be seen on microscope waiting to appear.

I wonder what kind of chemotherapy he’s on because for most patients, myself included, it doesn’t work well because of the blood-brain barrier. Whatever it is, I hope it works for him 🤞🏼
