- This is by far my favorite, and largest, fair in Thailand. Today I am joined by my friend Su and this is her first time at Thailand's largest fair, Kaset Fair 2024 at Kasetsart University in Bangkok. Join me as I give a (near) full tour of this massive 1400 vendor fair. This year I am giving you a glimpse as to what this fair is like at night. To say this is massive is an understatement. It would take you 3-4 hours to walk the whole event, probably more! This fair has it all; animals, plants, farming equipment and supplies, students selling homemade products and food, carnival games, and of course lots and lots of food. It was so jam packed with things to see and do. This annual event is held the first week of February, so don't miss it. In 2024 it runs February 2-10th, so go check it out. This is so much better than all the usual commercial night markets that all the tourists go to. An absolute must see in Bangkok if you are here this time of the year.

I've been to this fair a few times. But as I get older, I feel discouraged due to the huge number of people and the heat. I know it's lots of fun. So thanks for going to the fair for me this year. And I never said 'it's too soft' to any man, even though I wanted to sometimes. haha
Lmao. I’m definitely not going back to this ferret night again. Just way too many people. During the day, although it is hotter, there’s much less people there.

Admittedly, I don't have the budget to travel the world,
But there is no sadness either,
Because by watching and imagining your videos, I am fulfilling each and every hobby of traveling the world.
But I request you,
if possible, to edit the video like "Kara and Nate" or "Drew Binsky", because that type of editing looks very good to watch, and it's also more popular in the market. 500 to 600 million people monthly are watching that editing.
Although your editing is also good, but if it's like that, it will be even better.
Because when I watch Kara and Nate or Drew Binsky's videos and I watch your video, there is a world of difference.

Used to catch a 3rd class train from Khonkaen to BKK just for this fair when I was in collage, back then it was abt 500 vendors, but now, I saw your video and can't imagine how much time will I need to go over every zone!

We literally spent 2 1/2 hours there and only got through about 50% of it. If you do go, I would recommend during the day. Yes, it will be hotter, but it’ll be a lot less people.

I really enjoy your videos Serg they are always fresh and enjoyable, As an audio engineer one thing I have noticed though is your audio is clipping often, it is quite noticeable with my studio monitors perhaps not so much on phones and tablets. One tip I can provide is clip your mic lower or tilt it sideways, anyways thank you for the videos they really hit the spot specially being away from the land of smiles for so long. Cheers.
I’m very careful when I edit to make sure I don’t enter the red zone. Yes there have been videos where the sound has clipped a little bit, but I would say it’s not a ongoing issue. You’re the first person to mention it. And, I’m glad that you did mention it. I’m still dialing in the audio settings on my editing software. It’s always a work in progress, thank you for the tips. I really do appreciate them.

Great video Serg! As soon as Su opens her mouth and started talking, I knew she's Malaysian. Me -> Malaysian with an American accent. I learned conversational English while studying in Oklahoma during the mid 90s. Min 8:40, those crabs are uncooked right? I always wondered how you can eat em unless they are soft shell crabs, which they don't look like they are.
She’s definitely Malaysian! Very feisty, and very cute. Yes, those crabs are uncooked. It’s definitely a no go for me. Lol.
@LifewithSerg My annual December trips back home to Malaysia are mostly to spend time with my mom and siblings. We only venture out locally as she cannot walk far these days. Glad you had fun at the fair even though it's really hot. That's Thailand for you. Malaysia can be even worse as it's almost directly above the equator. I hide inside an AC room whenever I get the chance. Lol

Kaset means agriculture. Kasetsart University is the first university that have all the subjects in agriculture in Thailand. Veterinary science, food science also.

It’s such a giant place. I was surprised I ran into another one of my friends.
Stay in BKK for all my life but go to this fair only once with my college friend. I don't know but I feel like all the fair or night market are the same for me. I prefer go to japan expo or cosplay event more.
I’d like this one because it’s once a year and it’s just so gigantic. Although I’ll never go back to it in the evening again. It was just too crowded. And the end of the day, I think it’s great that we all have different tastes. What if we all like the same things? Imagine how horrible and boring the world would be.

In 2 years living here, I have not gotten sick once from street food. It just works.

Not at this event. They did not add any extra bathrooms so you need to hunt for the university bathrooms.
