My first flight with American Airlines! The first of three flights with them on this day alone. This was stage one of my journey from New York over to Vancouver which would take me via Charlotte and Dallas Ft Worth.
A cold morning departure from New York, lots of condensation and water sitting on the wing which quickly pours off once we begin moving. Check out that smokey engine startup, typical cold morning start. A long wait at JFK for departure, as expected at this time of the morning. Sat in a queue of a good 15 aircraft awaiting departure, then an Emirates A380 arrived as well. But finally we were on our way. A beautiful morning for flying out of New York, left turn immediately to take us heading south down the coast. Look out for Baltimore Airport seen below during the cruise. Then a long descent down into Charlotte Douglas Airport, was put in a hold for a while awaiting our path to arrive before finally turning in for arrival. A long line of aircraft (All American Airlines) waiting by the runway for departure as we arrive.

Woah!! Cool!! The classic, retro silver "AA" livery. Awesome. That's the last plane I ever flew back in 1998 when I went to Disney World with my family. Haven't flown since. A couple of things I need to mention.......1)what was that Azerbaijan plane that went by!?!? Never heard of or seen that plane before ever. Cool looking livery.👍 2)my favorite...... Emirates A380 coming in for a landing!!✈️🛬 3)love that view of Carowinds from the sky!!🎢🎡🎠 And 4) apparently Charlotte doesn't believe in servicing any other airline besides American from the looks of it!

They really have to change those seats!
They probably won't though given that the planes don't have very much longer in service before AA retires them.

The airport at 20:44 is Washington Ronald Reagan National Airport which is USAs busiest airport in terms of internal traffic. ✈️👍

Anyone know what song is playing after it lifts off? 28 seconds to take off and 3 minutes 42 seconds to 10,000 feet (11:12-14:54). Pretty impressive but it's a short route on a plane able to go over 8 hours.
