Laura, you are a genius! I absolutely love your inventions, your style, your attitude towards the world around you but the best is, your sense of humor and your heartwarming smile, when you enjoy your success. Love it!!!!!!!!
The coffee grinder is the best steampunk/mad scientist thing I've ever seen! That's hands down my favorite. The camper is a close second. Love your work!❤😊
I have a corner of my shop I've named my "Gallery of Abandoned Projects" to store projects I've lost motivation on for whatever reason. Most eventually come out of hibernation eventually but definitely had a couple spend over a year in the gallery before getting back to the bench.
Hello Laura - #1: "Up cycling" You. As another lady who could not stay in Corporate Land , "Up cycling" my Self. When it was time to leave, I then became a professional healer/body worker. No regrets. #2: Frankly, your whole life style. I totally remember my 'nomadic' days. I really would have dug all of your toys & such. Keep up: YOUR. BEST. LIFE. EVER. Blessings.
In the 80's as a student with no budget and a motorbike for everyday transport, I made two side paniers for my motorbike from 2 plastic jerrycans. Worked very well and was pretty watertight
when i was a young hitchiker i made a backpack from a five gallon gas can. it had wheels and straps. waterproof and its easy to get a ride standing beside the road with a gas can. at least gets you to the next gas station. couldnt have afforded a bike but i bet you would have given me a lift.
I built a mini "Christmas tree" out of the stuff I had lying around the house. I just wanted to let you know that you were one of the inspirations for that. It's nothing close to your level of craftsmanship or skill but it was a good project for me.
Der ein Fuß Grill ist cool. Der Fuß würde noch in eine Felge eingeschweißt gut passen. Man könnte auch den reifen drauf lassen. Notfalls um Standfestigkeit zu erhalten, auch ausbetoniert.
I appreciate the repair-reuse-recycle mind set. There is so much waste in the world today. I have almost 50 projects that I have started and finished in the past 30 years that include those the three Rs. This video inspires me to find more ways to use what I have on hand or what I can salvage from my neighborhood. Thank you.
I would love a video of all your bbqs. Kind of like your videos on all your bicycles a while ago. Always grateful for the smiles you share during all your builds Laura! Alles gute für 2021!!!
The caravan for sure! Because it's so close to what I'm building on. There is a 32 year old trailer in my barn that is always waiting for the next treatment. So far, with a few exceptions, it's pretty much original and I'm just trying to keep it. But at some point I will have to completely restore it because it is starting to rot in the corners. I love this trailer because it was built to be self-sufficient from the start. With its own solar power supply, water and gas. Perfect for just standing outside where you would never expect a caravan. Seeing how you work on your horse trailer took away many inhibitions about tackling this major project.
Laura, you are an absolute inspiration! I am a fanatical DIY recycler myself. And to be honest my ideas have a success rate of about 30%…. OK more like 20%. I love your channel and all that you do! It definitley inspires me to develop more and more DIY ideas. Thank you for all that you do! Love from Chicago, IL USA!
Hi Laura, In my opinion there is no single project that is most interesting to me. For me your projects show problem solving, a consistency, eye for detail, practicality and fun. That MIX makes me always look forward to your next project. Mach's gut! Willem
I have such workshop envy. All of your projects are so carefully thought out and beautifully exicuted. My favorite project this year was making a wall mounted leather dragon head. It's kind of like Fantasy Faux Taxidermy.
gotta say my favorite project was the horse camper, 'cause if have repaired an old caravan with my dad and this series took me back in time. It was big & hard project but results were so satisfying
I am from Texas and of course, BBQ projects are awesome! I think you should consider building a pallet grill. If you can find a small auger and build a little hopper it should do the trick!!
A good friend of mine is a total fan of tiny houses and that was when you built that trailer, so I showed him your channel, and he loved it so much! He unfortunately doesn't have the money for something like that right now, but I know he would be really happy with such a tiny house.
I’m 74 live in Australia recently widowed. Before leaving my darling said I must build a camper van and keep contact with our 4 children scattered over the country. I bought a 14’ poptop caravan and removed the poptop section with a view of making new full height walls so I could step in enroute anywhere for kitchen toilet and futon. The lower section intended as base furniture was so tacky I pulled off everything except floor and took it to the garbage disposal. Fitted a semi circle front floor extension and ducktail rear addition then built a frame similar to Airstream Basecamp. Skinned it with 10 sheets 4’x8’ aluminium and basically built it from floor to curved roof. Fitted domestic glass fibre shower cubicle as centre strength. Test towed if 4.000 km it pulled like a trout in a stream....biggest task is getting a mirror finish....realise should have gone stainless steel but hey it’s only 700kg so I have the time now to experiment with polish machines, pastes, etc etc. So impressed with your work, amazing keep it up we love your videos...
You are super brilliant and creative! I liked the portable kitchen, and I hope to make something like this for our Wald Hüttli Tags (forest days) for my class. Again you are an inspiration! Thanks and keep the videos rolling!
Thanks for the update on the horse trailer, totally understand pausing a project when the love is gone. I paused bike racing for three years and it was still there for me when I got back to it. Happy 2021
I just found your channel yesterday and I love it. I love the coffee grinder and the gerry can stove. I love fabricating stuff myself but most of what I have done is with wood. Although I have done some with metal also but I don't know how to weld. My latest project has been moding out a Suzuki DRZ400S. I built a metal bracket to strengthen the front fender and built a bracket to hold the larger regulator/ rectifier. Great work thanks for sharing your ideas.
All the projects are great. I appreciate the outdoor cooking focus and I agree with you that the height adjustable BBQ just seems like something that should exist.
Fabulous projects, Laura! Your skills are impressive to say the least. If I had to choose, my faves are the branding iron and the converted horse trailer. Coincidentally a friend suggested recently that I buy a horse trailer and convert it to transport the refurbished decor pieces I sell, across Canada to participate in artisan markets ... and when empty, on the way back fill it up with thrifted finds for the next projects! Post-pandemic, of course. 😎 Tks for sharing!
just discovered you on TH-cam! Personally, I love the geodesic dome! But design wise, your take on the jerrycan is a winner: to keep the esthetics but to give it a whole new function is wild! The ashtray is genius OMG!
I really liked the cooking suitcase on the horse trailer. That is such a good idea for camping vans or those teardrop trailers, perhaps in an area where you have an outdoor workshop. We have those outdoor heaters tables and lamps outside bars and restaurants in Minnesota USA. Excellent design! Your problem solving skills are amazing.
I realy love all thinks you do. Not for the structure or the shape they have but for the idea or the need that get you to start the work. It's so motivating good luck
Another great recaop of 2020, it brings the happy back... :-) I was wondering about your camper, it looks amazing and I would love to see you finish it. But if you do decide to pass it on I would love to finish it on your behalf, it would be a great starting point for a youtuber... Keep up the excellent work and have a bloody wonderful 2021.
Just great! They're ALL brilliant! I love the Jerry Can and Height adjustable BBQ, also the horse box, and the suitcase camp ware.. ALL BRILLIANT projects tbh!! BMX brilliant aswell!! Lol Well done! I wish I had a space like you do to be able to express my creative side! I've got loads of tools but still no workshop! Very frustrating!! Best wishes from London England 👍❤️💪😎🏴🙏
Thanks for the recap, my favourite was probably the heated bar, I could really use one. This has also reminded me that I picked up a 70s travel iron just after you showed that video and I haven't made a branding iron yet.
I so admire your inventiveness / ideas and your skills in being able to pull them off. The trailer is my favourite, I hope you are able to complete it and make good use of it. Stay safe and Happy 2021.
for sure horse traillor is very cute. Even if work is very diffrent between selected projects that one reminds me the tiny house wich is one of the best overall projects! Once again thanx for the hard work you did that year again!
The coffee grinder is my favorite personally!! Only is it a great idea, but most everyone drinks coffee and could use a coffee grinder and the fact that you are making it out of recycled materials that are very abundant ....Makes it even better!
Greetings from Athens - Hellas (Greece), Happy New Year! Laura you are a brilliant, genius, ecologist, beautiful, happy, good heart, dreamy, talented and wonderful woman. I started watching on TH-cam the work of Jay Bates years ago, after Jimmy Diresta, April Wilkerson and others, but one day I saw your work /videos and became a fan of you. You are an inspiration, be always Healthy, Wise, Happy. Laura "ise thea" in Hellenic (Greek), which means "you are a goddess"... 👸🏺💐🎶🔝💖
What a tremendous year you have given us! The Lost & Ground coffee grinder is my favorite - it is absolutely beautiful and I love the fact that you incorporated an old windshield wiper motor into it. The folding bike was also pretty cool - and I love the sweet TIG welding move of operating the pedal with your knee. Did the guys at Lincoln teach you that? So awesome! And the geodesic dome... maybe you are really the king of geometry after all??? Thanks inspiring me and Lisa to "think with our hands". Looking forward to seeing more in 2021!
Congratulation as always! My favorites? The tiny grill, the coffee grinder and the. Branding iron.... And specially the geodesic greenhouse (just because I ve been saving same metal strips to make a lamp) and the most exciting horse box camper that made as so anxious to see it finished every week.... maybe in 2021? It is surely like a tv serie in chapters the horse box camper keeps us interested in the next chapter 🥰 thank you for sharing your creativity! Happy New Year!
You are so amazing !! -- mad skills & fun ideas -- my skill is repurposing things for gardening & amusing my grand-daughter -- also a good 2020 occupation -- Keep amazing us -- Happy This Year
You are great, love to watch you build, under this dire time of the pandemic I think more and more people will start going into their shop more, our last sanctuary.
Wieder viel tolle Ideen und Videos in diesem ansonsten spärlich mit Highlights durchsetztem Jahr! Danke dafür! Meine persönlichen Top 3 sind diese: 3. Coffee Grinder. Der wäre sogar Nummer eins gewesen, hätte der Motor ein richtig schönes Holzgehäuse bekommen. 2. Hight Adjustible Grill. Sieht gut aus und funktioniert super. Frag doch mal bei Weber an …😉 1. Jerry Can Stove. Weil da das Platzproblem aller Camper auf eine neue Weise (nämlich Hochkant) gelöst wurde, das Teil super zu funktionieren scheint und noch dazu voll super cool aussieht! 😃
The camper was my favourite project for sure. It was very inspiring and each step was such a satisfying mini project in itself. I hope you get to use it soon!
A lot of the high-end grills (eg. Hasty Bake), use a height-adjustable fire pan. However, nothing I've seen is as cool (errr. hot!!!) as your design. BTW...currently watching a Wix ad in German. TH-cam must have seen my Google Translate German comments to you and assumed I'm a speaker. I did take German in high school, but Ich spreche ein bissien Deutch is way too generous at this point. lol. None-the-less...danke, dass du schöne Videos gemacht hast! (My favorite project was the coffee-grinder...and second is the suitcase kitchen).
A few years ago i rebuild a old expansion vessel to a hydraulic tank. Was pretty easy: Cut open obove and below the waist, remove the rubber, tack some sheets on the inside to align the halfs and weld it back together. The first welding project i used forming gas... On the top, where the valve was, the return filter is placed. It also works as a pretty big filling port.
Sehr coole Projekte Laura. Der Anhänger gefällt mir sehr. Doch der Rest braucht sich auch nicht verstecken. Mega hammer. 👍 👍 👍 Liebe Grüße Martin 🙋♂️ 👍 👍 👍
Laura, you are a genius! I absolutely love your inventions, your style, your attitude towards the world around you but the best is, your sense of humor and your heartwarming smile, when you enjoy your success. Love it!!!!!!!!

Love your work!❤😊
Lost & Ground. Hands down☕
That trailer is such a thing of beauty. You can't help but be drawn to look at it.
Running out of motivation on a project is very relatable, especially on relatively open-ended ones.
I have a corner of my shop I've named my "Gallery of Abandoned Projects" to store projects I've lost motivation on for whatever reason. Most eventually come out of hibernation eventually but definitely had a couple spend over a year in the gallery before getting back to the bench.
@@funkyspacecow ,I love the name you have given for projects that have been somewhat late in getting finished. Perfect.

Coffee grinder my favorite but sure appreciate your ingenuity on all projects Laura, you rock woman.
I am from Texas and of course, BBQ projects are awesome! I think you should consider building a pallet grill. If you can find a small auger and build a little hopper it should do the trick!!
The coffee grinder, for sure
It's such a nice build and suppose to be sitting in every kitchen :)
Keep it up

You are absolutely awesome, Laura. Your videos are so inspirational.
The Coffee Grinder is wonderful!!!
Ah, man...those were amazing, each and every one of them! Your skills and creativity are unbelievable 👏👏👏
All projects are superb but coffee grinder and folding bike are my favourite...👍👍👍
The Jerrycan Stove, so cool, even the color, black matte, wow. I wish I can order one for my own.
You are super brilliant and creative! I liked the portable kitchen, and I hope to make something like this for our Wald Hüttli Tags (forest days) for my class. Again you are an inspiration! Thanks and keep the videos rolling!
Lots of inspiration in this video, my favourite is the fire extinguisher bbq. So simple, cheap and easy to make and one that I’ll be making.
Congrats for all your work and the values that you transmit for next generations! Best regards from Buenos Aires.
The coffee grinder is awesome😀
Thanks for the update on the horse trailer, totally understand pausing a project when the love is gone. I paused bike racing for three years and it was still there for me when I got back to it. Happy 2021
Single grill, because when I want something I am usually by myself and don't want to heat up the larger grill. Great work on all the projects!

Coffee grinder is absolutely cool made, very stylish
All of these are amazing! I love learning about your process and how you transform materials. I love the mini grill!
Your recycling projects are always so unique, beautiful and inspiring! ❤️
All the projects are great. I appreciate the outdoor cooking focus and I agree with you that the height adjustable BBQ just seems like something that should exist.

You did such an amazing job of repurposing the elements of that jerry can into a stove. The handles as pan holder and the spout as vent is ingenious.
Love watch you run those machine tools.
I really liked the cooking suitcase on the horse trailer. That is such a good idea for camping vans or those teardrop trailers, perhaps in an area where you have an outdoor workshop.

My fav is the branding iron---because it was the first Laura Kampf video I saw and I have been hooked ever since!
Wow! The creativity is so refreshing. Thanks!
Just great! They're ALL brilliant! I love the Jerry Can and Height adjustable BBQ, also the horse box, and the suitcase camp ware..

that barbecue obsesion and design fun should give you the hint for doing "build your own BBQ"- lectures and workshops.
.. YES!!! I don't bar-b-que...ever, at all...but maaaaaaaaan, I liked that red one..💥
I love the jerry can stove!! that's hot!

your coffee grinder remodel was so cool and I look forward to further work on the tiny horsebox camper
Love your ideas and work. Made me build my first tall bike this year.
We need to build a recycling trailer like that for our road trips and supplies for cleanups! Really cool!
for sure horse traillor is very cute.

Great projects I think the heated bar is my favorite. Great year laura
I loved the camper van, especially how it used all your talents together!
The heated bar is my favorite. I would love to install one in my backyard. But first I need to learn how to weld again. 😁
I loved the coffee grinder and I think that is still my favourite. Your trailer deserves a Murphy bed with your own ingenious method of activation :)
Love the jerrycan stove. Looks like a project even I could try...
I love the way your mind works and your engineering skills. Very cool 😎
I always love your mini camper van builds. First the tiny house trailer, then the horse box, next a portaloo on castors?
You are so amazing !! -- mad skills & fun ideas -- my skill is repurposing things for gardening & amusing my grand-daughter -- also a good 2020 occupation -- Keep amazing us -- Happy This Year
You are great, love to watch you build, under this dire time of the pandemic I think more and more people will start going into their shop more, our last sanctuary.
voller Bewunderung - perfekte handwerkliche Umsetzung der originellen Kreativität - wow :)
I´m blown away of your capability of doing things out of everything! Such great ideas you have!! I admire your skills :-)
I like the outdoor- oven very much. But the other Projekte sind auch beeindruckend toll. 🙂

Answer: which by the way, was SOOOOoOOoOOo easy to answer....ALL! Absolutely all of them...period! 💜
Hello Laura, thanks for the summary. I like good Coffee and love your solution to grinding the beans by your self.
I liked the trailer and the jerry stove.
Damn... so much awesome. Thanks for sharing your creations and journeys to build such solutions!

What a great compilation of great products! and a very soothing and nice voice over :)
I love your ideas, they're always really imaginative and inventive ❤️
Hi Laura! Hopefully this year will be great, with awesome new projects!!
