For sure the cut of wood board with band saw is incredibly cleaver. The result is perfect!!! that gave me a nice idea for the realization of my son's deck!! Thanx Laura you're precious!
My favourite part is "getting out of your comfort zone" and "trying something that might not work". The experimentation and the problem solving part is the best!
I was so grateful for the “easy glue up” idea as I have used it several times since. While making a box to fit the chess pieces I made for my sons Christmas gift I had to make the lid wider...easy fix! I cut in a pieces of contrasting maple against the walnut box as an accent. Looks great and solved the problem!
My favorite by far was your beautiful smile that couldn't hide the self-satisfaction that was brimming over as you displayed your wonderfully creative projects. To design, create and make something is a reflection of your soul ~ great work.
I am getting caught up on some videos I have missed and these recaps are great! What you do and the type of shop you have is right up my alley. I adore recycling and repurposing where ever possible. It really exercises the brain by making you think outside of the box. As a woman who just turned 60,( gosh where did the years go), I try to challenge myself everyday to create. Sometimes I can spend an entire day just on the design, but I love that part too. When I retired at 50, I built myself a woodworking shop behind my home. It is small, but enough for just me. I then turned my garage into a small metalshop and now have a place for my welding machines and accessories. I have always gravitated towards artsy types and you fall into that category for me. Your enthusiasm, and creativity inspires me all of the time and I would like to thank you for that. Keep doing what you do, stay well, and be happy Laura!!
All the top 10 were great but, have 3 favorites. The couch for its dual functionality, the heated bar table for the unique jointing of the table top, and the modern secretary desk for its design features/combination of wood and metal. Great year of building Laura!
So humble, so open hearted, so encouraging, so good... Sooo Build as you go without too much time at the planning desk... Liked all the work, ma'am... Take a bow... Great video!
You are so very clever with the things you build. Must say I love your table and no I have never saw anyone do it like you did. Guess I will have to give it a go. Thinking with your hands as you do I believe works best. We do not see true craftsmen like you, much anymore, so it is a real joy to see your work.
So, I'm a french carpenter, you give me many ideas ! You do very cool stuff, I think polywood have a great potential, and the bandsaw table in solidwood is a very good idea !!! Thanks a lot ! Keep going on !
Hands down the record cabinet is my favorite. It has such a beautiful shape. it also inspired me to listen to the postal service again. Such a good album.
Although have just rewatched it that was the one that got me to check Moloko. It was the record box from 3 years ago that made re-listen to the postal service 🤗. The problem with watching thru all the videos in the last 2 months is they start to blend 😳
My reaction to each of these was, "Oh yeah, that was a cool one!" I always look forward to your videos on Sunday (morning for me). Now I get to look forward to a bonus one on Wednesday! Thanks for sharing!
You can be sure for 1000% that your videos are doing something to me! You are such an inspiration and for sure the most sympathetic person i would like to listen to on YT!
Lots of genius ideas! Especially the glue up, I've never seen that anywhere. At my skill level and the tools available, I must say that the 'very simple bed' is very appealing to me and I'm confident I can make one through your video. Thank you for the hard work and looking forward to the next one!
As per the rules of the drinking game, take a drink at the following time stamps. neon label tape: 1:241:384:13(multi) smudo: 5:456:35 let glue dry: 0:409:00 Let glue dry, label tape, and the shout out to the chat: 11:39
My girlfriend and I made an even simpler version of your simple bed in queen size. We live in an apartment with really narrow stairs and the only way we can put a bed inside the room is if it’s modular. Made 3 bases instead of 2, and the slats were divided by 2 in length to make them shorter and easier to work with. Thank you for the idea and design. All our tools are manual (apart from a cheap jig saw), but we definitely enjoyed the build. 😊👍🏼
So difficult to decide which one I liked best, but it's probably the sofa bed because of some of the problem solving along the way. And I really like the book storage on the side of it.
Your designs really fit my style . For years I thought about replacing my old bedframe DIY. Until I saw your video I haven't found a design that motivated me to do it. And you are right all I needed was a track saw and a drill. It turned out really great. You can move it easy in Parts but build up it's like tank and feels so good through its pure weight. Thx Laura
I think my favorite wood working project that you did was the couch bed. I bet it was fun to sit down and talk about your favorite projects. Its good to look back and recall what you are proud of and what you learned. I got my first saw for Christmas, its a miter saw! I'm really excited to get to work around the house with it.
Congratulation Laura, you are an inspiration to me as an a diy Creative Professional!!! Some day I will quit my IT life and start my own wood shop here in Brazil. THANK YOU !
It is tough competition between the Record Cabinet and the Band Saw Tabletop! I love the facets on the curves in the record cabinet and the clean simple design. The band saw table looks so cool, with the seams blending in with the grain, and that amazing band saw!
I like your honesty about your views on your projects ... I think those projects will inspire people to build similar if not copy a lot of your ideas... your ideas are the kind that triggers other ideas or gets you to use part of one of your ideas in a totally different project... I really like the music system I think it's the coolest liking of your projects. Good luck... And keep up with your great ideas in 2021
Top 3 for different reasons: In terms of techniques, hands down the bandsaw jointing is amazing. The stereo cabinet is so beautifully functional and shows how good things come in time. Opposite, is the Hinge desk and how 'sketching in 3-d' in real time brings concept to reality quickly. Mind blown when I saw that video! 🤯 Definitely looking forward to your metal builds video recap. 🤘 LOVE the trash/repurposing ones. Thank you for all the great builds and vibes you put out into the world. 😊 Happy, healthy, safe 2021.
It's so exciting to see someones clever solution to challenges that all of us that make things have. I've been using your stacking method for joining slabs since you first shared it and everytime I do it I say "Thank you Laura!" I look forward to your videos and always enjoy seeing what you've been up to, FULL SPEED AHEAD!
Good afternoon Laura, yes my favourite woodworking project of yours during 2020 was the simple bed idea, it’s so easy to make and will last quite a long time, but the best thing that I like about it is if let’s say you were to move addresses it’s so easy to take apart and remake at your new home 🏡 and I also think that beds should be made like that. As always Laura you have some of the best ideas for build stuff no matter if it’s for a bicycle, a bed, a table or even something for the outdoors like your tiny home on wheels, because they are the ultimate in recycling/repurposing and item that just might end up in the fire or melted down eventually for use as something else and I would like to wish you all the best for 2021 and I can’t wait to see your ideas for this year.
The non-linear jointing with a bandsaw method has been around a long time, although I don't recall having seen it used on the scale of a tabletop. I have mostly seen it used for making decorative box lids and cutting boards. Nicely done.
I love the easy-glue-up bandsaw jointing! The only other place I've seen something like it is for people doing twisted/plaited effects with contrasting woods, where the idea is to take flat slabs and introduce curves - _Fisher's Shop_ has a video called "How to make a woven cutting board", for example
3D sketching and thinking with my hands. At last the way I have worked for years has a description. I so love the creativity in all your projects. I especially love how you don't limit yourself to the "tried and tested" or concern yourself with "is it do-able?" You just give things a go and see where you end up. Love it.😎 And best of all, you take us along too, showing the "warts and all" and the out of the box thinking that is part of a process like this. Oh and the sofa bed was right up there for my favorite of the year. All the hassle of a spare bed that is quickly available but still easily usable for other purposes, sorted. Very clever all round there. Looking forward to what you get up to for 2021.😀
The "Easy Glue-up" idea is fantastic! I love clever creations and clever techniques. It's hard to pick a favorite from your projects at any point, but from this list I totally dig the record stand.
Laura, that were great projects in 2020 that you did. Glad that you made this video though as I now noticed what builds I missed during the year. Thank you!
Awesome stuff! You are definitely in my 10 favourite channels for 2020! That hinge desk is really cool. With some kind of counter-weight or motor system you could mount a monitor/TV/iMac in the lid. Perfect for tiny living.
As someone who wants to get into woodworking, it's very refreshing to see someone use plywood so much as opposed to all the expensive wood used in other videos. Definitely subscribing 👍
I think the record cabinet is probably my favorite, but I also love the practicality of the new screw storage shelves/boxes. Totally agree with you that choosing stuff that is the right color is as important a factor as any... Better to get what you like than being annoyed by something every time you use it.
Hope you and Smudo are feeling better. Sweet projects all Laura, your bandsaw cut table top reminds me a little of marquetry projects with the wood overlap cuts. Beat wishes for the new year, stay safe.
All great projects. You made 2020 more tolerable and I look forward to more in 2021. I do love the method of overlap cutting for a table top. I call it the Kampf cut! I haven't used it yet but certain intend to. Laura, thank you for sharing your passion with us. Have a wonderful New Year.
Laura, I love the organic slab joints! Very cool idea and I am going to try it! It was cool for you to show a video that shares your joy with what you do. I really enjoyed that even more than your cool projects!
that Bandsaw technique is legit. Thinking of mixing cherry or walnut with maple and creating a matching design on the top. An alternative to the endless river table builds...
You are amazing!! Just when I was starting to get a woodworking block(no pun intended), your video reminded me of those awesomely cool builds and I had to go make something. Thank you and keep up the functional and creative projects!! Stay safe and well, too!
easy glue up was a great idea!!! This video highlights your excellent furniture designer self that seems to have been overshadowed by bicycle and trailer builds. I really liked the sink build, it informed my old and lasting desire to build a wooden tub. Oh wait, no my favorite is your next video!!!
So cool to follow your woodworking, TH-cam (and Life) adventure! Your videos act like therapy to me, so I just wanted to say thanks. I just started making videos in 2020 myself to document what I make and remind myself that I do get stuff done.
For sure the cut of wood board with band saw is incredibly cleaver. The result is perfect!!! that gave me a nice idea for the realization of my son's deck!!
Thanx Laura you're precious!
I need to fix up my band saw, this could easily save me a ton of time on a different project.
My favourite part is "getting out of your comfort zone" and "trying something that might not work". The experimentation and the problem solving part is the best!
The bandsaw jointing trick is the coolest wood project for sure!
Definitely one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen with wood working!
Yes!! Thats a useful trick! I Will idé it next time im making a floor
100% agreed! Jointing is always such a boring thing to do, this technique makes it much more fun. Now I just need a bandsaw. :-D
yeah it's cool, it is the same old technique used to make woven style items using different woods and colours
Going to try this!
Nice...👍
I like the phrase, "thinking with my hands". That one really resonates with me!
My favorite by far was your beautiful smile that couldn't hide the self-satisfaction that was brimming over as you displayed your wonderfully creative projects. To design, create and make something is a reflection of your soul ~ great work.
I am getting caught up on some videos I have missed and these recaps are great!

Bandsaw trick and the Bookshelf chair. Both of those gave me some powerfully inspired ideas to do my own projects. 🌈🧡
"it's Smudo so that's good enough, right?" Right! Love seeing Smudo in your build videos and insta stories
All the top 10 were great but, have 3 favorites. The couch for its dual functionality, the heated bar table for the unique jointing of the table top, and the modern secretary desk for its design features/combination of wood and metal. Great year of building Laura!
The record player project was my favorite. Functional and a great look.
The organic joints are the best tip/technique, the bed frame is my favorite build. Thanks for sharing what you do!
Ich liebe den homeoffice Tisch! Ein absoluter Traum!
So humble, so open hearted, so encouraging, so good... Sooo Build as you go without too much time at the planning desk... Liked all the work, ma'am... Take a bow... Great video!
You are so cute when you get excited at each finish. Job well done on each. You have a great deal of talent. Doggie is adorable too.
You are so very clever with the things you build. Must say I love your table and no I have never saw anyone do it like you did. Guess I will have to give it a go. Thinking with your hands as you do I believe works best. We do not see true craftsmen like you, much anymore, so it is a real joy to see your work.
Favorite in 2020, band-sawing the table planks. Favorite in 2021, the finished horsebtrailer/ camper. It (will) turned(ed) out awesome!
I think the office desk/dinning table was the best project but i really enjoy all of them.
Keep doing this kind of stuff, you're really inspiring!
Yes! It’s a classic!
Although have just rewatched it that was the one that got me to check Moloko. It was the record box from 3 years ago that made re-listen to the postal service 🤗. The problem with watching thru all the videos in the last 2 months is they start to blend 😳
You inspire me to bring my ideas to life instead of letting them rot in a notebook forever. Thank you for everything you do!
Sehr cool, dieser Rückblick. Danke nochmals für Inspiration und knoff-hoff. Viel Spaß im neuen Jahr🖖🏼
I really love how your English is improving, it feels so natural and smooth !
My reaction to each of these was, "Oh yeah, that was a cool one!" I always look forward to your videos on Sunday (morning for me). Now I get to look forward to a bonus one on Wednesday! Thanks for sharing!
The slab cutting by far the most thoughtful and provoking. Great work all around.
The most valuable project for me was your „Clever Workbench“ that is now my daily basics in my workshop. 🙏
You can be sure for 1000% that your videos are doing something to me! You are such an inspiration and for sure the most sympathetic person i would like to listen to on YT!
Love the Frank Turner posters! One of my favorite musicians.
Glad to know I am not de only one who forgets how I made some projects! I need to start to make videos too!
I think my favorite has to be that amazing record stand. It has a really cool retro 1970s vibe! Happy New Year, Laura!!
Agreed, That one combined with the Plywood Credenza from november 2019 are definitely the top of your design game. So cool!
I agree
Hey Laura,
vielen Dank für deine tollen Anregungen. Ich gucke deinen Kanal immer gerne wieder.
LG Eike

I am most impressed with your English skills.... your accent is very light and your word choice is perfect.... good job!

Sie sind gute Menschen talentiert und HUMBLE, ich genieße deine Ideen, 👍🙋🏻♀️🥰
Thank you... I love working with both metal and wood but I feel that wood is where you belong first... x
Laura you con imagine how much I enjoy see your satisfaction with the result, you are great thank you
I love how you cut the slabs and glued them together, gorgeous!!!
My fav is the office desk with hidden space + ipad stand.... Brill... Inspiring
So difficult to decide which one I liked best, but it's probably the sofa bed because of some of the problem solving along the way. And I really like the book storage on the side of it.
Such a smart and creative lady. Thanks for sharing your ideas and talents with us!
I love all.of you projects Laura. You're an inspiration to all of us . Thank you for posting
Congratulations Laura for all tour ideas ! You are the best !!!!!!
That table jointing blew me away when I saw it Laura, it is SUCH A GOOD IDEA and I'm always trying to think of an excuse to try it! Thanks!
Love the bed, sofa and chair storage idea.

I loved all the table builds for sure! Excited for another year of ur awesome woodworking adventures!
Your skills and your positive spirit inspire me to go out and get into my shop and do my projects
What a cornucopia of inspiration. I am building out my new studio and you have given me so many ideas 💡. Thanks 🙏

I built a bed partly inspired by your simple bed! Didn't use any screws, only some large bolts so it could be disassebled. Wood glue is a wondermaker!
It is tough competition between the Record Cabinet and the Band Saw Tabletop! I love the facets on the curves in the record cabinet and the clean simple design. The band saw table looks so cool, with the seams blending in with the grain, and that amazing band saw!

The plywood sink is awesome. I must have missed that episode. Will have to go back and check it out.

Oh, I meant to add, it works just as well with a good jigsaw if the material isn't too thick for the blade and you don't get in a hurry
For me definitely the table top, using the bandsaw, router sled, etc. Very innovative and a change from river tables.
Laura your projects are all fantastic !!!

Thank you Laura! Your ideas are refreshing, inspirational, and I can’t wait to see your weekly uploads!
Much love to Smudo! ❤️❤️❤️
Glad I stayed to the end. All great, but my fav is the glue up trick
You are a marvel! Your projects are always both strong and elegant. That's hard to achieve, but you do it time and again. Thank you!😊❤
The non-linear jointing with a bandsaw method has been around a long time, although I don't recall having seen it used on the scale of a tabletop. I have mostly seen it used for making decorative box lids and cutting boards.
Nicely done.
As always I am so jealous of you. I like all of the builds, but for me it has to be the record player stand. You have earnt my subscription. 🇬🇧👍

i'm in my 3rd of woodworking during high school so this definitely will help a lot thank you for the bright ideas !!
Laura you are fantastic
Thank you!!!
All the best
From a 🇵🇹 in 🇧🇷
Awesome splendid work So loved the office table with hidden storage and lid stand, keep it up thanks so much for sharing with us
I liked the sink the most. It looks great and probably one of it's kind. Great tip about the bottom for drainage.
Thank you!
I like each of your top ten! Your creativity shines!
You are an inspiration! I am jealous of your shop and skills! Had some leftover teak and made a meditation or party wall for a gift this past xmas.
thank you very much, i love to see your projects, always creative. also love your positivity and happyness
You were one clever little cookie for 2020. Soooooooooooooooo looking forward to 2021. Favorite 2020-Covid desk. The storage idea is priceless!
I love the sink and the last table top you showed. thanks for sharing.
It's great to see a review of the project together, I must go back a rewatch a bunch of them.
I think the record cabinet is probably my favorite, but I also love the practicality of the new screw storage shelves/boxes. Totally agree with you that choosing stuff that is the right color is as important a factor as any... Better to get what you like than being annoyed by something every time you use it.
Your live edge jointing idea is just awesome. All the best in 2021
The last project, you basically quilted with wood instead of fabric! Nice!
Wow ‼️I love all of them but the table with the hidden compartment is the best for me, awesome work ❤️‼️
I love that you love plywood. I'm obsessed with it as a material. Keep going!
Cool tabletop cut. That technique is used in chopping boards to add thin strips of different coloured wood.
Thank you for sharing. Your ideas and ability to do everything is awesome.
You are an ABSOLUTE inspiration. All of your videos are my favorite ☺️ Keep rocking!
The desk with storage rocks! Also the bookcase chair is a great idea!
was great following your projects this year. Alles Gute zum neuen Jahr !
This is very nice. Hello from Kazakhstan. I love woodworking
