God this might be an unpopular opinion but Ashley's scream gives me so much more chills here than the original. Whoever voiced her here is damn talented.

Totally late to this, but I completely agree. For a person not professionally trained in voice acting, she did a pretty damn good, perfectly respectable job. It can't be easy putting in that level of realistic fear when you're sitting in a booth/closet, not in any real immediate danger. And she even added in a little cussing, which I think adds to the realism. Let's face it, how many people get stuck trapped in the pitch blackness of a dark room after something really freaky happens (in a strange, foreign, maze-like place, no less) and their flashlight's just crapped out on them and don't swear up a panicked frenzy storm of curse words? lol

It was smart that you set the timeline in the 80s instead of the 70s as the og Walten files mentioned tech not available at that time such as CGI. Also VHS tapes were much more affordable in the later years than the 70s
i'm also sure it's because tape 1 and 2 were from the 80s.
i think the creator made it that way on purpose, playing with reality vs. unreality @ tech being more advanced than our reality.
The CGI seen in the walten files is 3d animated CGI test that dates back to 1974, so CGI was a thing, it was just vety limited and early plus it was mentionned that the tapes were edited after the 70s
you know what technology also wasn't available at that time? people haunting robots. Realism in a show abt haunted murder bots is not rly important ngl chief

Billy's birthday song actually sounds like an authentically damaged tape. I love it! Why would it be so damaged after only a few years, did someone intentionally damage it?
It had Felix's Victims, So if he damaged it you know incase a Adult finds it they would think it was Broken, But the Effects the VHS filter is amazing

I just realized something, in the scene where they have the files, and then the tape, you’ll realize it’s DiSCARD, the same way that felix wrote his name, but FELiX.

Believe me when I say this, this is a beautiful project and your skills have definitely improved, it's just that I've watched it a couple times now and couldn't help but notice that this kinda goes toward the horror side of it more than the lore. Just wanted to say that and either way, good job.
Because it is meant to be a scarier iteration.

I dig the different approach to how the video is presented, with it feeling a bit more like the FNaF VHS Tapes by Squimpus.
I also love the added realism to it all. This feels like it took it's time to create, y'know?

This is very very good. And Nice to see it isnt just a TWF2 but with a different art style. Its very. Very. Different in a good way. Especially in the Murder Scenes + Rabbit is starving scene. The crew did an AMAZING job! Keep on going m8! I cant wait to see what's next in store.

I really enjoyed this, despite the original being superior in my opinion, the adaptation deserves a follow up. This is if like your favourite video game was successfully turned into a perfect movie adaptation which never happens. This is the first time I felt intimidated by Billy and Ashley went from a B- to a SSS+++

I love how you could much more vividly picture in your mind how Ashley is being brutally ripped apart based on how she screams. Like even if her screaming is cut short compared to the original, even if it's just a glimpse, you can clearly imagine how she cries in agony and desperation for her torture to stop, as if begging for Bon to stop violently ripping her limbs before mutilating the rest of her.

One small issue. In the original Walter files, the blinking eyes during the fuction test seemed to be spelling out 'S O S' in morse code. Blinking was a new function, and it was instantly being used to beg for help.

Huh. This gets a heartfelt "Well Done" from me. I'm a huge fan of the original, and I have to say this takes some things that I registered as 'mildly creepy' up to 'almost terrifying.' Commendable. I also highly respect that you refrained from taking the cheap, easy method of jumpscares to try and make it "scarier" since the original contains nearly none. I'd be interested to see what you could do with Bunnyfarm, but that would be quite a task, I'm sure.

I first thought this would never beat the original one, but i guess I'm wrong on some specific scenes, like Ashley's exploration or Banny's scene, those were soo well done and chilling. Your retold series is very underrated :) I'm glad you were in my youtube recommendations

It's like the Black Mesa of The Walten Files (OG). Retold, a bit revamped, mature, and actually grabs you by the edge of your seat, seeing what would the remake/retold version would have entail for some unforeseen consequences that could lead to someone's untimely demise.

I love the 3d models for the animatronics, everything is just beautiful and fits the analog horror aspect. The only thing that is eh is the narrator, no offense but a monotone voice with no enthusiasm can maybe put someone to sleep. Sorry if that was rude, I did not mean for it to be! Other than that, this video is incredible!

Love how everyone’s like “why the hell did they build this place in the middle of nowhere.” But the more you think about it, that’s the place where Ed and Molly were buried. Biggest piece of evidence is Rocket being in the warehouse.
Felix says in his confession tape he doesn’t remember where he buried them and we see Rocket on their graves. So he most likely went back there to get it and to cover his crime he hired people to build the warehouse over the grave.
I love how Billy's cassette tape sounds damaged, makes it feel more authentic and creepy😱😍

This is actually really good, much more detail put in then in the walten files. The animatronics move better and we get a clear vision of how Billy's head moves and how the other animatronics move, really underrated. good job on doing this, I'm impressed

The only complaint I have is that Billy's cassette tape didn't list the names of Jack, Susan, Rosemary, Charles and Sophie like it did in the original
Other than that, this video is top-notch. These 3D models you're using somehow manage to look realistic and cartoony at the same time, which is very cool
