Congratulations on making into Notre Dame!! Thank you for making this video!! Handling rejection is the toughest part for me regarding the application process and see you handling well gives me confidence!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Handling the rejections is difficult for sure, but I think it is part of the course for the philosophy career path so I am trying to get used to it. It also helped that by the time I received many of my rejections, I already knew that I had gotten in at least one place. Thanks again for the comment!
Applied to 15ish schools. Got into U of Rochester, Kent, Virginia Tech, and Brandeis. Also waitlisted at U Miami and U Maryland. I accepted Rochester 🎉
Congrats on ND! I’m a current undergrad here who also went through this brutal admissions cycle for philosophy PhD programs, so I know the feeling of getting a constant stream of rejections lol. I’m sure you and your wife will love it in South Bend!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed South Bend when we visited, so we are very much looking forward to moving there! Do you know where you are going for your philosophy graduate program?

Yes, I was lucky enough to be accepted at Berkeley (I lean more on the phil lang/logic side) so that’s where I will be attending come fall!
