Agreed. Zion has a much higher basketball IQ than what most people think, and it shows as he usually goes to the rim or takes a 3. RJ Barrett is sticking to the mid-range shots which are viable in college but in the NBA that will not be tolerated as they are inefficient.

It’s because Zion can’t handle the ball and RJ is their top player. Ever think duke coach is telling RJ to shoot more, NCAA is “training ground” nothing more. It’s about development for the nba. Nobody had a problem with Kobe and MJ taking and forcing a lot of shots and using up their teams possessions. Kobe had shaq and you never seen shaq handle the ball more than Kobe. Maybe coach sees that in RJ.
PlanetofMarz No I understand what you are saying but they have Tyus Jones’ brother who is the actual point guard of Duke, he can handle the ball and distribute for his teammates. MJ and Kobe were already solidified as generational talents so there’s no surprise there, and Shaq as a centre will never bring the ball up the court or handle the ball as a facilitator. the scary thing is that williamson is as fast as a 6foot point guard with his height and weight, and i dont think he is even in an optimised athletic condition. and i hope he is not turning into a second shaq rather than a second jordan by losing muscles not gaining it. the only thing he has to be scared of is that nba bball is heavily shifted towards "no defense score 3p from outside"-bball, which renders his abilties to dominate any court almost ineffective, ncaa isnt nba. if he shoots threes like the better or best 3p snipers in the league, then it gets really ugly for the competition^^, and i think he doesnt even have to change anything athletic wise. it will be an interesting rookies season, when hes landing on planet nba, thats for sure.
