every monday without fail I forget its megaedit day, and every monday without fail I watch a good few minutes of the video before I realise I've seen it all before 😅😅
34:50 The sewage was definitely not faster. You can clearly see them going at the same rate. The slight advantage means nothing, considering the uneven terrain. You can even see how at the start the water had to transition into a wider channel, which naturally gave it a set back.
All helicopters can do vtol (vertical takeoff landing). But if possible they Land just like a normal plane because it’s much safer than a vtol landing. Especially when carrying something like water because it’s oscillating. So those pilots are still pretty good for landing an oscillating Helicopter in vtol
@@DarthLeuat least down to ground effect to avoid VRS. Most use skids or land on a pad so touchdown vertically. Large military helicopters often do rolling takeoffs. You get more lift from clean air in front when rolling.
weird that pumps dont remove water, in city skylines 1 they definitely did, i remember putting too much pumps on my river that my town was around, and i sucked it dry and there was no water left by the time it hit the sea
i dont. Skylines 2 was thee worst purchase i've made in years. Perhaps ever. Literally never even looked at it again after the first couple of attempts....and thats unique. I usually go back to check to see if improvements have been made but with this, they pretty much declared the game complete, apart from maybe a few tweaks here and there. Can't believe they think that a game THIS bad is worthy of 1.0 status.
I want to say the myth about if you can make sewage without any people, is confirmed. You had zero people but we're still producing sewage. The buildings were there but you had zero people.
The turn restrictions do not ban turning, it marks the turn as "unsafe" and that means that when a route i calculated the turn will have a higher cost (it will avoid the turn a bit)
I recently watched your circular city video and I was thinking, how would a city work with a different circle for each part? like a circle for industrial, residential, commercial etc, I know you might not see this but I just want to say I love your videos and even started playing cities skylines myself too!
52:15 Uzumaki -50 is an unlikely temperature for snowing, because the air is dry. I'm not saying it can't happen but it would require weird circumstances (warm humid weather coming in and a huge temperature gradient).
The myth about the water-to-sewage is inconclusive. You need employees (people) to run the water pump, else no people means no water being pumped, means no water to turn to sewage. You can create this by adding people, but don't connect the houses to the infrastructure. I'm curious about the result.
what is a megaedit? is it a edit of a already uploaded video? I truly dont know he already uploaded this video 5 months ago you can find it still so that why I ask?
What's happening with the wind is that you force it through a smaller area increasing the speed. It's like water in that way Real life experience - i used to work at a factory where we (thanks to boss man not being an engineer) had a terrible conveyor layout from the silos to the factory itself, meaning we had to spend a lot of time between those two silos. What happens is that all the wind hits the surface of both silos, diverting both to each side. If the silos is 20 meters wide, and the space between is 5 meters, basically the wind strength in the gap is 5 times(?) stronger than in the open Now imagine that when it's -20c, 3am and a wind speed of 18m/s and 25m/s in the gusts(?) it's what I imagine hell to be
When it comes to vehicles ignoring road restrictions, I believe that vehicles that were already on their path will continue. New vehicles that spawn, however, will not Path the vehicles movement down that road. Would be an interesting thing to test to see if this is the case, or if they just ignore it completely, no matter what.
Ship lanes don't allow you to make them any object to block them. If you delete them you can do whatever you want. I assume the ships won't go along anything other than the ship lanes.
I have a myth for you to address if you would be so kind! As someone who has only played a tiny bit of Cities Skylines on someone else's Steam account and never played Cities Skylines 2 at all, I can only judge from the reviews, but it seems the sequel is wildly unpopular as compared to the original. So that is my myth: is the sequel really (still) that bad or not? Am I better off just buying the original plus some DLC?
And here you see my underground solar farms. "What!? Underground? You meathead, they won't work there." Au contraire mon ami, that's the only source of electricity in the whole city. Under all buildings are farms!
hello fren. about getting the poo water of the map, just connect the pipe line to the edge of the map the same way you do with high volt cables for export and poo will be gone without any problems, its actually fantastic...
The ships can't get grounded one - I don't remember who posted the video but there was one of someone showing how to do quay walls and the corner was a little too out there and the ships kept getting stuck on the corner. I'll try and figure out where that was so I can update this comment. But it IS possible. Just apparently not on the game's set paths.
What about adding a firefighting helecopter thing at high altitude and/or having it respond to a high altitude fire? If the copter altitude set x meters above the taje-off point for example?
41:08 I disagree. It clearly seems to be a mix of both factors. That steeper hill you built had the same slope for the entire thing, yet the arrows were clearly more red towards the top. So both steepness AND height impact wind speeds. Myth is confirmed.

With the cars on pedestrian streets and the turn restrictions, only some cars will break the rules, just like in real life. Some people suck and they drive where they shouldn't. Skylines 2 is the same XD
thank you so much for this, i knew City Skylines 2 was going to do something dumb, and they did. Many things wrong. But with what is there they did a really decent job, i'd say the only real problem i have with their game is just how they handle whether or not crime happens. And the "need" for education.
