Great shoot again Twiggy!. Beautiful surroundings and nice laid back style fantastic sunset, then some #xsoles just have to ruin things, props for doing the right thing, lots of gold stars for you. Can't wait for your next, good health. 👍😀
Hey Cheers Simon.. I got lucky in the end with the weather.. Always see rubbish laying around and always picking it up.. This camp was particularly bad. Cheers for the comment. 👍
The red mist fills my head when I see this. It's everywhere now. I despair, but I have to turn off from it, or it would drive me mad. Good on you for doing your bit.
Hi, loving your videos mate, disappointing people don’t leave no trace, takes nothing really, just subbed you mate to show my support. From a fellow TH-camr 😉👍
Hey Twiggy I had a similair experience last time I went to Owler Tor; a very popular spot for families with kids chucking their rubbish down the gaps in the rocks. Sadly its not reachable to remove. When I lived in Hunters Bar and there was an event on in Endcliffe park I used to dread it, and seeing the rubbish after; barbeques, lager cans, the lot. It's the young people that have no respect, there was a bunch of older volunteers that would come round and clear the rubbish away so the kids never learn. Its a never ending problem, I used to think; let it pile up and they can sit in their own trash the scrubbers. I usually take a bag with me on my walks and pick up what I can, so well done for picking up what you saw. Another nice video anyway Twiggy, all the best Mr Jiggs.
Think you're right Mr jiggs, it's probably a generational thing, when I was young my mum drilled it into me about bins and respect, so sad to see what's happened, makes me wonder what will happen when our generation is gone. Happy to connect with yourself and like minded caring people... Thing is though it's us good wild campers who get the blame... All the best to u. 🏕️👍
@@twiggyescapes Same here Twiggy, I'm not a wild camper myself (not yet anyway) although me and my mates did it when we were kids in the eighties. We never left a scrap of rubbish! The worst culprits are the people using wet wipes when they cant hold their bladders etc! they're everywhere ffs
Well done Mick. Sadly many who venture out don't care about leaving it in a shit state. That spot looks great, going to have to find it and show my Panacea some love. Till next time ATB.
It is a great spot Andy, it's about half a mile before woolpacks if you're heading from grindslow... There's some rocks on the hill to the right as u look from the path. Cheers. Hope u find it. 👍
Well done for highlighting this mate. A few weeks ago, I came across an entire tent. It looked like they'd had an accident and had set it on fire, then simply decided to abandon it. I don't mind picking the odd bit of other peoples crap up, but a tent was too much. Instead, the authorities were notified of its position. I guess that all that we can really do as TH-camrs, is to keep repeating ourselves like a broken record on the virtues of leaving no trace.
Don't think I would be happy taking an extra charcoal tent down.. Thing is u did the job. I still have to watch your latest vid Hengists... Looks like a lot of laughs. Cheers mate I'll watch it tomorrow after the dreaded work. 👍
@@twiggyescapes The camp was a good laugh indeed mate, but like all my footage of group camps, 75% of it (all the good stuff lol) had to be discarded in the edit... Family viewing and all that.🙂
It’s filthy and not acceptable. I wonder if we could organise a mass pickup on a busy day. Hopefully the more people see it the message will spread. Cleanup Kinder Campaign? Any thoughts?
So nice to see you making the wild spaces better for others. The litter problem seems to be getting worse because too many people are selfish and ignorant. As usual, it’s just a very small minority but annoying nonetheless 😕
Good on you Twiggy! Haven't watched yet, but looking forward to watching later. It's beyond me why people leave their litter. They carry it up why not bring down their litter? After all it wont be as heavy! 😠
What a beautiful sunset and sunrise Twiggy 😊 that is exactly the weather I'm hoping for 🤞. Where was that pitch? I thought I heard you say you were heading over to Grindslow Knoll, but wasn't sure. Perfect little pitch that! It's such a shame people leaving the area as you found it, but good on you for showing what you did. Let's just hope more TH-camrs show this kind of content and not just the gloryfied version of wildcamping. Despite that and how it made you feel this was a wonderful camp to watch as usual. Thank you. 😊
Hey Twiggy - was this recorded on Wed 18/Thursday 19 Sep? If so I think I may be the person you were referring to camping out at Edale Rocks. I too picked up several pieces of rubbish and took it away for disposal. So frustrating - we are so lucky to have such beauty available to us. The sunrise was special and the cloud inversion was spectacular. It was my first solo wild camp and am hooked. Great video btw. Need to get my footage on the Tube!!
Yes it was then... Never camped at Edale rocks... Looking like we were both rubbish collecters that night, it was a great night for your first camp... U got very lucky ATB👍
Hi Twiggy, well done for promoting this. Like all the rest, l find it really upsetting to see the littering of our treasured places. Mate, l hate seeing litter. Society today has no respect for anything. It was always drummed into me by my parents, teachers, etc, that you respect people, property, and nature. Doesn't seem to be in the teaching nowadays. Thumbs up for you, mate 👍. Unfortunately, l always now carry a rubber glove and rubbish bag with me on neally all my trips. 😒
Well done to you my friend... We need armies of people like us, it's a very annoying trend.. Can't see it getting any better... Thanks for watching and your comment. ATB to u. 👍
Heading up there next week, l have a nice little spot that I’ve been wild camping at for many years, last time I was there some idiot had dug a fire pit, bottles and crap shoved into cracks, I carried out as much as I could. Unfortunately Facebook is full of Morons sharing camping locations, if you say let people get a map and find their own sites you get called a ‘gate keeper’ etc. so many selfish individuals spoiling it and destroying nature.
Facebook is full of one time trippers who love to get pssd and start fires, I don't belong to any of them groups... Get yourself away from them mate.. Thanks for watching and the comment... Hope your next camp is a good one. 👍
Sad about the littering. To change subject, I was interested that you found a new good pitch that you don't know was there! And didn't you also find a new site in your last video? Is it all part of the experience to set out to find a new pitch? I know everyone is an individual and each to their own. I get the impression that Patrick Dickinson and SoloSarahB seem to always scope out a new site before returning. ATB!
Hey Cheers for the comment, I never have a definite plan of where to camp just a rough idea, part of the fun for me is hunting for spots... I usually leave a couple of hours to spare before dark. Cheers for watching. 👍
The amount of crap in the easy to reach spot is really annoying, and when you come across a portable barbecue it drives you insane. We need to spread the message a lot more effectively. I joined a "beginners wildcamping" group on Facebook and had to leave. Every single post featured lighting fires or similar. They just done get it!
Luckily they will all be gone these people in a couple of weeks, they are so undeserving of such wonderful places... Winter is coming, my fave season. ATB Phil. 👍

Top man, good on you. We are like nature's litter pickers us wild campers 👍👍
Yes, definitely... But it's us who gets the blame for it all. Most wild camping people are the ones who pick it up. Cheers for the comment. 👍

This is why I go in winter Steve... All the brainless have left. Cheers for the comment... I know its everywhere sadly.
I've noticed this more on NorthYork moors since lockdown, you could often fine rubbish but not as much we are now seeing up here...
Nice video and message 👍
Cheers Stig👍

Phil cheers, don't know where all this is going... There's such beautiful places... And then this.
I'll have a look for your channel. 👍
Thanks for the support mate, much appreciated 👍
I've found a burnt out tent near seal stones start of sep even put it in my vid last night! To many scruffs ruining the beauty of the land.
Sad thing is we all get the same bad label... Soon there will be nowhere to be without seeing someone's destruction.. Cheers and all the best to u. 👍
I hate it too ! well done for picking it up, ❤❤ sorry it upset you on your camp 😢 that sunrise was beautiful
It really was a wonderful night up there I was very lucky in the end.
Thanku for your lovely comment 🏕️🙂
You should have left the swearing in 😂😂..nice one Twiggy 😊
I would have but youtube would strike me down mate... After all it's family friendly. Cheers Swifty 👍

some people don't give a s//t. I just come back from Scotland and did 3 nights around Stirling. The amount of rubbish left is heart breaking.
Hopefully it will all be disappearing now the winter months are on the way.. It really is upsetting... All the best to u. 👍

It's a great idea, think a few youtube people would definitely be up for this along with myself.
Just finding the right day that works for people 👍
They have no respect. It’s so easy to take away your trash with you. I can only imagine how they live.😡
Yes it's definitely a reflection on their daily life... Problem is there's getting more of them these days. Cheers 👍
