    You are the best! I cannot even put into words how much you have inspired me. I am 56 years old and have been teaching group ex since 1989. It gets very hard to come up with new ideas and keep it fresh and interesting. No more burn out for me! I have used many of your ideas and my classes love it! My classes consist of a wide range of fitness levels and ages. I make sure I offer several modifications to accommodate everyone. My room is on the small side right now, but we are hoping to build a brand new facility where I will have access to a gym and probably some space outside which will give me the opportunity to try some of your other ideas. I think you are awesome and wish I could take your classes! Thank you for sharing : )

    great routine! So you have groups of 3-4 in this video moving through the circuits as a team? They spend 60" at each station, 15" break and then move to next? How many stations and how many times do they complete the full circuit? Thanks!

  • @pamv1848
    @pamv1848 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I absolutely love your boot camp workouts. How long do you typically let this circuit go on for? Do you complete one full round and give them a break or do you do AMRAP?

  • @NazrinTheYoungGunner
    @NazrinTheYoungGunner 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The plank walks that you instructed are not good for the clients in the long run. This is because you are basically mostly developing isometric strength on their left side of their body since the direction of movement was left whereas the right side you were mostly developing their eccentric and concentric muscle contractions since the right side of the body had to work harder to create the movement to move left. This will create muscle imbalance in the long run where the right side of the body will larger than the other left side (likelihood of injury increases).
    I like the overall circuit but I suggest you tell them to alternate sides, perhaps set another mat nearby where, after completing one lap of one side, they go to the other mat to do one lap of the other side of the body. This will help balance the muscle strengths of both side of the body.
    You gave me ideas for me to do my circuit training with my students, so I'm going you ideas too :) I hope you take this as a friendly advice, and keep up the good work! :)

    • @axfit
      @axfit  9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +NazrinTheYoungGunner Well we do both sides, 30-40 seconds to the right then 30-40 sec to the left. Or one set they do left direction and the next time they hit that mat the go the other way, I would never have them only work one direction. That would be kinda silly! Also we only do this drill every so often so there is no way my clients will be hurt long term from doing this drill for 1-1.5 minutes say once a month.
      Im glad that you found some cool ideas for your circuit training, it's fun to find new moves online and add your own twist to them .

    In some areas looks a good circuit but don't hear you correcting bad form once

    • @axfit
      @axfit  10 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I'm on top of form none stop, come stop in my class and you will see. The seconds of camera recording intervals I am not, talking into camera and recording hard to be everyone at same time. I am firm believer in correcting form on every drill.
