Ronnie's voice fits the medieval spirit of the Rainbow music the best!!! with all the due respect to all Dio's successors in the band, he was incomparable, may him rest in peace!!!
Dio and Blackmore and Daisley and Powell were some of the Greatest writers and performers ever assembled and it shows all the way through this Munich recordings.
Ronnie's vocals killed everytime. He just did not have an off night, ever. Listen to most live recordings and the vocals are pretty rough. Ronnie was just incredible. I don't know how he did it.
Great guitarist...great vocalist...great drummer and no less the bassist...keyboard together they form a great sound of music,...great just great to listen amazing.....
Yes, for sure. I bought a DVD copy right here in Brazil in 2008. It's really worthy. This is one the most fantastic live presentations of Rainbow. I recommend it
Dio is/was the best metal vocalist ever, i was meant to see him on his tour just before he died, but sadly it wasnt meant to be. I'll keep that ticket forever
Ronnie james signed my butterfly ball cd, shows how long ago it was, he was at our local radio station did not dissapoint a truly warm human being nothing to much trouble, had lots of time with you, his voice never off, Idont think he really knew how talanted he was, saw him at Oxford applo as it was then, star on one leg of his jeans moon on the other, still have the ticket, cost was hardly anything bring back the great days!!!!!
Great story about this show - it seems that the night before, RB punched a security guard that was knocking a teenage girl around who had gotten too close to the stage - turns out the guard was the promoter or venue owner or something, and RB got chased around by the German cops and finally caught and tossed in the clink. Didn't get out until late the next day, the filmed concert was held up over two hours while they drove him to Munich.
Man Dio has played in the greatest bands in the world . Ozzy played bs then ozzy but Dio has played bk in the 50 until his passing great great great musician n singer God Bless you Ronnie n RIP
What a crew! Blackmoore, Dio and Powell! Never again in any possible direction of music!
Pure art, from the bottom of the heart!
Ronnie's voice fits the medieval spirit of the Rainbow music the best!!! with all the due respect to all Dio's successors in the band, he was incomparable, may him rest in peace!!!

The live version of this song is so much better than the studio version, which also is totally awesome. The guitar part at 3:30 is simply beautiful!
there is no Rainbow without DIO! Long live Rock'n'Roll!
Dio and Blackmore and Daisley and Powell were some of the Greatest writers and performers ever assembled and it shows all the way through this Munich recordings.
Thank you thousand times for sharing this concert. I'll probably buy the CD version, but I wanted to enjoy it at least once visually, too.
Great footage. On of my favorite Rainbow tunes.
Ronnie's vocals killed everytime. He just did not have an off night, ever. Listen to most live recordings and the vocals are pretty rough. Ronnie was just incredible. I don't know how he did it.
I can't too.
Yeah its true, listen to pretty much any bootleg recording. He really was superhuman, he never took vocal lessons and he didnt even warm up.
The worst live performance of his had to be Neon Knights with black sabbath 1980 Live
