Just checked the Billboard Top 100 today (6/13)... these are all the hip hop artists on there that are NOT being played on 92.3 (the station that's supposedly playing the hottest/most popular hip hop): - Juice WRLD (actually has 2 tracks in the top 100) - Tekashi 69 - XXXTentacion - Famous Dex - Playboi Carti - Youngboy Never Broke Again - Lil Baby - Lil Skies This is why hip hop radio isn't relevant anymore... fewer and fewer people are listening to the radio in this new age of youtube, spotify, etc...
All the SoundCloud rappers are listened to by 21 year olds and younger. Radio plays are for people 18 -35. So they need Drake and migos or Gucci on radio since they have older fan base.
