You’re literally like one of the only people to have a video about this laptop. At least into this depth. I appreciate it because I need to re-paste my laptop!
Hello, my laptop , exactly this type. started rumbling ( seems like right side cooling fan) Might it be just dirty or you think it's broken? In advance...is it possible to replace it easily?
First thing is to open it, clean and put some oil on the fan. If that doesn't help, than you have to replace it. In any case you have to lift the cooler. No easy way.
Well i use to use Arctic MX-2, now i'm using MX-4. So far for me is working fine, so no need to replace it. But you can try Noctua NT-H2 or something from thermal grizzly.
Bro which screw driver i use for removal heatsink completely because i was try but it's can't open and it's so tightly fit on it can you help me which screw driver i use
good video, but I would like to know if there is a solution to a problem I have which is that I uncovered my laptop to clean it and when I turned it on it did not turn on, it only turns on when it is connected to a plug, what can I do to help ;- ;
You mean it works fine on charger, but not on the battery. If yes, does it detect the battery or no... Try to replug the battery again. Press the battery reset pin, wait 5min and plug in the charger to activate it again. And power on the laptop.
It feels like i should open up the laptop, the fans are loud and it gets very hot, i havent cleaned it since i got it which was 2+ years ago. Do i have to replace the thermal paste aswell, because i will need to take off the fans
I don't recommend replacing the putty with pads. They have different viscosity and thermal conductivity. If you replace it, do it with quality ones again. No idea what size they should be.
@@LaptopDisassembly ok thank you very much, anyway I've just used thermal pads on VRMs and Memory chips with thickness 1.0mm, it doesn't work LOL, so I'd try 1.5mm
Hi, The color Pink stuff is the Themal Putty? I used this laptop like for 3 years and my GPU gets hot and also cpu, but gpu up to like 86 and if i do simple task's it yeha gets hot easily, so should i only change the GPU and CPU thermal paste whit some grizzly one and also that VRAM Paste or should i leave it still for a very long time that Pink paste?
It should be more harder than thermal paste. If you think it like plastic you should replace it. But it it still in sort of a liquid, you can use it more.
@@LaptopDisassembly but mine doesn't feel like plastic but hardens like crackers, but some parts still feel rubbery, if I really need to replace it, is it better to use a thermal pad or use thermal putty? If it's a thermal pad, what size is appropriate?

Can be a lot of things. Can be a damaged GPU, CPU, RAM and so on... Do you have any lights when you press the power button. Also try to reset the bios by disconnecting the battery for few minutes.
i replaced the thermal paste but cpu temp still goes upto 98C max while benchmarking. Is it normal? but gpu temp seems to be fine at higer end of 80C max.
The CPU may start going bad. Try the following. Go to control panel, power settings. It should be selected Balanced as power plan. Click change settings. After that select change advanced settings. Find CPU maximum power settings. And change " on adapter" from 100% to 99%. Just lower it with 1% and test how it will be.
@@LaptopDisassembly I searched online and just as you said, someone mentioned about dropping CPU utilisation from 100 to 99 in a Reddit post. I did that and now laptop is running really cool. Now the max temp goes only about 70C
Hi, i have the same laptop and and its rambling on the right side making a loud noise from the fan, and i have to turn it off for a while to make it stop 😢 do you have any solution to that?
Hello. I spill coca cola on my touchpad and space area. Not much but not less cola. How can i clean my laptop. Is there anything i had to use like alcohol
Caca Cola has sugar in it. Pure alcohol will not work. Mix 40% water and 60% Isopropyl alcohol . Put a little on the board and use a toothbrush, to clean. Repeat if is necessary, just don't put a lot of pressure with the brush.
The CPU Fan* I mean. Planning to buy a replacement since my Neo's CPU fan is no longer turning (0RPM) but if does turn it just makes a scraping/rattling noise.
@@LaptopDisassemblyYep its not compatible sadly. // Though, I would like to ask is it possible to open up the CPU Fan of the Neo 16? The GPU Fan can be opened but the CPU fan won't budge out.

It is not that hard. Just don't clean the pink stuff. Replace only the paste on the CPU and GPU
Thanks for the help sir was much easier watching someone else do it first
thanks for the video, i needed some pre-directions so i dont break the notebook jajajajaja blessings

No need to do anything. I enter bios, just to show that everything is ok, and i don't show the customers info.

In all the videos i use the same screwdriver. I use or PH0 or PH00. Usually i use the one that fits. Just try to push and twist at the same time.

yes, replace only the thermal paste, don't touch the thermal pads / putty.
Great video as always 👌
do you really need to open bios? or can i just turn it on after cleaning and repaste?
No, I enter bios, to cover user data and show the laptop is working fine.
Hi, I have questions
-Can I use thermal pad instead of thermal putty?

@WHITEOBAMA555 if you wanna try anyway, use some soft ones, so if they are a little thicker they will flatten.
