Maybe I have grossly underestimated the power of classical music, but this is the first time when I started to cry bitterly while listening to a song. This, in spite of the fact that I don't understand the lyrics. Music, culture and its people are the three bridges which link our two nations together, the sooner we realize this truth the better for both of us. All these 6 decades of fight and hatred have yielded nothing, lets now start working for a better tomorrow : a better India and a better Pakistan!
When you listen to such ethereal music, the chaos we create with border, war,etc feels so ridiculous. I believe that, these are the things which are keeping us sane in this world of distrust and keeping the human race going. Keep on raising the faith in humanity. Love from India.

Rohail Hayat and Coke Studio Pakistan have brought together the musical instruments and talented players from all over the world with some singers I had not heard of before but the setup and this orchestra boosts their talent to the highest level. This is revolutionary and ingenious in the musical industry and will be instrumental bringing the world together to enjoy musical creations like these regardless of knowing the language of the song. WHAT WONDERFUL MUSIC FROM MY MUSLIM BROTHERS IN PAKISTAN. AFTER I SAW AYAZ FAREED IN "THE RELUCTANT FUNDAMENTALIST", I AM LISTENING TO PAKISTANI TRADITIONAL MUSIC EVERYDAY. I LOVE THIS MUSIC WHICH PRAISES ALLAH AND ALSO SOOTHES MY MIND. I AM A CHRISTIAN AND BELIEVE ALLAH IS ONE. WE HUMANS SHOULD LOVE GOD AND LOVE EACH OTHER IRRESPECTIVE OF OUR RELIGIONS OR CULTURES. IN ANY CASE I HAVE WORKED WITH MUSLIM PEOPLE IN MANY COUNTRIES (I USED TO WORK FOR THE UNITED NATIONS) AND I TRULY LOVE MY MUSLIM BROTHERS AND CONGRATULATE THEM ON THEIR DEVOTION TO ALLAH - THE TRUE AND ONE GOD AND ALLAH AND JESUS CHRIST - THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD

Absolutely stunning - I cannot think of too many other performances that possess such transcendence and spirituality. Even the musicians who must have rehearsed this many many times seem transported by the music - especially that curly haired guitarist who is becoming my favorite band member! Truly something magical has been created and captured here.
That curly haired guitarist name is Omran Shafique, along side coke studio he.s also is a member of a band called mauj , very catchy songs in his band as well , he has very strong body of work all these years ,playing for different venues and artists ,

Bagesree by Fareed Ayaz ji and Bunny's phenomenal bassline. If this isn't heaven, nothing ever will be.
9 years still loving the rendition so much ! This is a classic .
Absolutely, 9 years and you cant still get enough of this masterpiece
❤
Seems to be a mix of styles
khana mushkil ho gaya in hazraton ko sunte! dimaag aur dil ek ho gaye!
"Rang O Bu, Husn O Jawani Main hai alam sarshaar"
Sums up the majority of song choices and why this masterpiece is ignored.

3 masterpieces of Coke Studio.
Incredible. These masters of vocals express such beautiful, haunting voicing, it leaves me speechless every time. It touches the soul in a timeless profound way.
THE BACKUP QAWWALS TOO ARE REALLY AMAZING!!
We have been divided by Angreji/Hindu Raaj, you already are part of my souls soul. Thanks.
Great creativity!
Most underrated singers of our time, the rendition is perfect with all the theatrics and what a variety of vocals between the brothers
One of many favorite performances on Coke Studio Pakistan.
Even if i dont understand the lyrics, it takes you to another place. Thats the beauty pf music. No religion, no boundaries.
Love from India.
Sar-e-dostaan salaamat , ke tu khanzar aajmayi
this has changed my life
Joseph Coughlin how? You accepted Islam? :)
These days, you cant find such manly voices, or such amazing singing. toooo often.
bless us with more of such songs! Thank you, such an amazing piece...
love, another fan from India :)
What makes this 16 min journey a masterpiece is the astute basswork by Kamran Zafar. Hats off!
Thanks for nice words, that is a true humanity.
This song takes me from whatever mental state I had and transport me to somewhere safe
Rohail Hyat was a gem. He needs to be back in Coke Studio...
If this does not move your soul, you are living dead.. what a masterpiece .. beyond any other music!
The poetry is in Dari ( one of the national language of Great Afghanistan the second national language of Great Afghanistan is Pashtoo ) and it has been sing by many Afghan singers too. Long live Great Afghanistan the land which has been forgotten by the world hope that Unity between all tribes covers all Great Afghanistan soon and they put an end to the battle. many many thnx to those non Afghan nationalities that they have liked and shown their love to our poetry
Really enjoyed it. great composition and wonderful coordination of group kudos to whole team and love across from the borders....
Absolutely stunning - I cannot think of too many other performances that possess such transcendence and spirituality. Even the musicians who must have rehearsed this many many times seem transported by the music - especially that curly haired guitarist who is becoming my favorite band member! Truly something magical has been created and captured here.
That curly haired guitarist name is Omran Shafique, along side coke studio he.s also is a member of a band called mauj , very catchy songs in his band as well , he has very strong body of work all these years ,playing for different venues and artists ,
The might of Persian mystical poetry that relieves you and flows into your soul and awakes your conscience.
Who is still listening to this in 3018?
😂
As an afghan and native speaker of Dari. The poetry is orgasmic to my ears
Who is appreciating this beautiful composition in 2020?
your mom
