    We tried this recipe.It turned out awesome.At first I had doubts since no turn dal or tamarind water was used but this recipe gives you that yummy Udipi hotel style sambar.you get awesome result if you follow this recipe properly.       It is truly a secret recipe that you have revealed. This sambar tastes exactly like the sambar we get in good udipi restaurants in mumbai with idli, dosa and Vada.

    Every one use different types in their recipes...... It's not necessary to add toor Dal n emli... It's their different recipe something new.... N they make masala also which was unique..... I love it 💛

      I have used bottle gourd(lauki).I think taste of sambhar depends on sambhar masala paste which is the first step shown in the receipe.I have not used pumpkin and eggplant but still shambhar which i have prepred following this receipe was delicious .

      I was just thinking about the same that Toor dal to dali nahi... but the peanuts were used in the initial masala only.

    1st time banaya aisa , nahi to dur ke dal ka banate he sambhar masala powder banake but ye sambhar eakdam hotel jaisa eak number, aabhi yahi banate he awesome test , thanks bhai , shearing the video

    Hi Mohsin,
    U are doing a great job. good effort. only thing where u need to step up is asking the right questions about ingredients. Either u are naive about cooking or not giving it due importance. but when it comes to recipes its imp to know the right ingredients and the right proportion.
    though u r asking these questions but missing out on asking key ingredients / processes which make or break a dish.
    for eg here u shudve asked about what pumpkin n wat cucumber. ( red pumpkin n special yellow south indian cucumber) cause they r the key ingredients that give unique flavour to restaurant sambhar.
    another eg is ur pavbhaji video where knowing the pavbhaji masala recipe is key. else we do get to get see ppl making on roadside.
    im not undermining uf effort. appreciate it and concept is good too. spelt just wat i felt as a viewer with best wishes for ur channel to grow.

    How strange no daal and imli taken for sambhar...i like sambhar by ramesh South Indian dosas meerut...i will try this recipe surely may be this sambhar will like ramesh dosa..i m really missing that sambhar...because i m out of country and cant go there due to corona.

    this is Dhidir sambar or pottukadalai sambar in Tamil. it's tasted great with hot idli and dosa but not for rice.(info from Google)
