thanks so much for recording and sharing your life with us. the hoops and barrels you endure in traveling makes me happy to be planted here in the woods, without the noise, traffic and people. Yes, I am a year behind your present location, but that is OK as your channel is so very entertaining to watch. All without having to experience the challenges and discomfort of actually living on a sailboat.
Very very nice mate love the ariel shots from planes and train youve got them all beat by a long shot Keep the wind to your back and full sails mate cheers from Florida
No matter where you are, or what you are doing, you have a gift for storytelling. I enjoyed this so much! It was a delight to watch you with your friends enjoying life in England. Your choice of music is sublime! Thanks for all you do!
This is surely the best cinematography, youtubography by the Old Seadog changing into a British Landrobber , great story telling as ever, very well .... genius, award-winning worthy coverage....
Yes beautiful job and also the music is very appropriate which is something a lot of people can't seem to do right on anything that has to do with travel on TH-cam.. Especially the music for when he was at De Gaulle Airport and that whole thing ...the music just went perfectly with the visuals. My only complaint is that the video wasn't long enough... I love all things English and would have loved to have seen more... And Cornwall too.. as I know some of them consider themselves a separate country
: So very nice that you could get back to your home and visit relatives and Friends. I hope you have a wonderful time and a safe trip back to your other home White Shadow.
I remember doing that train journey down to the West Country with my folks… in the days when you could put your car on the train and had a small cabin just for the family. Was a mesmeric journey:.. spent the whole time looking out of the window… was amazed how close it is to the sea. It really is up there as one of the great railway journeys of the World.
What I enjoy about your videos, Barry, is that you find the beauty & joy wherever you are. Thank you so much for sharing a real look at life in England. I've never been but would love to.
Thanks for sharing your stories. It is wonderful to see you creating a live living journal. I too hope to have and create the same lifestyle in about 7 years when my youngest boy graduates school.
Sometimes it can be really strange feeling to go back home 🏡 Especially when you have been gone for several years, for me it’s Miami and the last time I even went through there was 2002. So yeah, a long time 😳🤔🤭
I usually call Air France, ...Air Chance...There is a chance your luggage will arrive at your destination, there is a chance you will actually get there. I used to work in Nice, commuting occasionally from The US, was always an adventure!!
Barry you should know that there’s always a strike going on in France somewhere so flying to or thru France is always a risk ! As they said in the old days “take a chance with Air France” !
I’ve lived outside the UK for 22 years - grew up in Devon. Always love going back ... reminds me what beautiful parts of the country there are ... but mainly I go back for the beer ... Flat & warm ... how it should be 🍺👍
Oh man, sorry for your extreme delay and flight chaos in Europe. Would have been faster for ya, to go to London by train from Paris :s But nice to see you kinda "visited" Germany :) I hope you had a great and revitalizing time with your family! Stay as you are and as we love you - ya ol' seadog ;)
There's something special about getting back "home". Earthy. Welcoming, Beers with the Boys and Real. Have a great time and looking forward to your return.
Your a cutey. I would love to go to England but I hate flying. It would be a long flight from the middle of U.S. I don't think I could drink warm beer. Loven your videos. 😁😁😁
Happy you finally made it home. Going home occasionally is good for the soul I think. Hopefully it will recharge your enthusiasm for soon getting back to sailing and exploring the world.
Hey Barry I know this is a great old video, but what was the best thing at the hotel,a couple of beers or a long hot shower and clean sheets. To me clean sheets. But do like a COLD beer or two !
As usual, great video, great scenery...but warm, flat beer...yuk!, I'm a spoiled Yank who hasn't acquired that taste even tho I've been overseas and had to take it or leave it.. thanks Barry for another moment of respite from a mundane life...watching you, is my form of living my dream vicariously thru you..
A new sub for you, Barry, I really enjoy your vlog. I think you break things down brilliantly. You pick great music, you have a wonderful way of presenting your adventures. Thanks for keeping it clean...ish, and keep up the great work. Be safe and may the wind always be at your back.
After even a few weeks at sea, I find life on land too manic. Everything seems too rushed, so I hope you are not worn out by your return to "normal life" :-D The West Country harbour looks lovely
Love that part of Cornwall. Great ride or walk on the Camel trail too... What was the name of the boat yard in Devon serving breakfast? Has to be a must see place...
Hi Barry, i find your videos very entertaining yet relaxing. But also it reminds me of why i dream to live the lifestyle you do. Keep up the good work! And keep sailing!
Phew. just watched every episode, almost back to back. Nice to see my home town on your train ride back. (dawlish). looking forward to following you on the next part of your adventures. all the best.
Great video Barry. VERY well edited. I know what travelling is like cos in the 1970's I averaged 3 long distant flights a week for three years !!! I was pleased to see you didn't risk the fish and chips at Rick Stein's take away in Padstow.. I took them back and got a refund. Enjoy your time in the UK and I look forward to seeing Shadow again. Expect you do too. Best wishes Michael
Glad your trip back to Blighty was fully of fun and family, oh, and some wobbly pops! In a quiet moment, on trips like this 'we' wonder why 'we' travel to the far off places of the world ......... just saying ⛵
It's not a strange life, Barry. It's an excellent life.
Nothing quite like going home, and then being able to hang out w your old mates, good for you Mr Perrins, all part of a great life, cheers! 🍻👍🏼☺️

All I could think whilst u were in the train.... There's no place like home... No place like it! ✌💗😊⛵❣
Seadog love the show. Ur flapping out of the water how nice for a change. I will ride with u all the way back home. 😎🇺🇸👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Great video. The sky's over Paris were chem trailed like they do here. What a shame.
Yet another idiot who can't tell the difference between vapour trails and chem trails...

Thanks for sharing your stories. It is wonderful to see you creating a live living journal. I too hope to have and create the same lifestyle in about 7 years when my youngest boy graduates school.
Barry in his natural habitat! Beautiful part of England
Back in the bosom of dear old England, Cheers!
Remind me of Last Of The Summer Wine, Great Old English series.
Eat, sleep, pub and repeat. Now get back on your boat and film us another adventure. Cheers mate.
My home town of Plymouth I left for good 12 weeks ago, best place in UK to live.
Nice place to live but for me oz was calling.
Sometimes it can be really strange feeling to go back home 🏡

Miami and the last time I even went through there was 2002. So yeah, a long time 😳🤔🤭
Your adventures on Shadow are great and exciting. But if you didn't hide a tear being back home among your old friends you missed something.

You guys even bicycle on the WRONG side of the trail, enjoy your time at home, another good video.
Next, you wake up on a beautiful English morning, and tell your neighbor: “Last night I had a dream I bought a boat and sailed to Panama!”
I'm really thirsty for some reason.... cheers for that :-)
Paul Hitchman
As soon as he mentioned the chips I started craving then

Being in good health and fit to travel is your best bonus! I really enjoyed the episode!
I love your videos which remind me of my younger life on my sailboat. I miss that life, your videos take me back to a joyful time. Take care.

Felt kinda of sad as you and the train in England, slowly passes the a lake, { I think! } Your boat back in Panama, missing you, and you missing her.
England looks so nice with the cities but in America we have something called Urban Sprawl. A bight on our land

There is nothing boring about your life!
Hey Barry I know this is a great old video, but what was the best thing at the hotel,a couple of beers or a long hot shower and clean sheets. To me clean sheets. But do like a COLD beer or two !
If it's not a rude ? where is the boatyard which serves proper breakfast. Seems like a brilliant combination.
