370 - Training a Pokemon to Level 100 Using Daycare Only!! Level 100 Gauntlet

- This challenge took a long time to finish, and editing it was kind of a challenge with how scattered the footage is, so I hope it turned out OK! Here I attempt to raise a Jigglypuff to level 100 in Red Version (on the 3DS Virtual Console to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Pokemon) using only the daycare, meaning I had to take almost 800,000 in game steps! I hope you enjoy.

i never knew it was Madoka Magica music, thats so cool! its a shame i never got to hear it with the music still intact since its my favourite anime! i just hadnt seen it at the time the music was still around in this video.
also i will say its cool to know that one of my favourite youtubers has also seen my favourite anime! doesnt seem like much i know but its cool to me nonetheless!
I did this as a kid. I didnt know how to take them back because my party was always full, i mashed a because i didnt speak english. After a year i found out to take them back. One was level 89 and the other 100. They were a pachurichu and a buneary.

R.I.P me. I ACCIDENTALLY did this with a zubat in G1. I just put it there when I found the daycare and never came back until I beat the game. XP

You need to put a level one Pokémon on a pokewalker and then walk till it is level 100

It would take about 365 days using the auto farm level. 368 for level 100, and only 365 for level 99 so in sliiiiightly less than a year you could get to 98 then 2 rare candies used to get a level 100 Dragonite.

This calculation is way off because turning around 180 on a bike engine one takes three frames. So it would be a much faster to go in a straight line and do 90 degree turns rather than going back and forth on a bike.
ahh good to know!! I didn't even think about factoring that in. It's a minute detail, but when it's multiplied on the scale that I did it on, it adds up

Nice video! I just found this today. You beat me to uploading the Gen 1 Day Care Trick to TH-cam (I posted my video on this in September of 2017). Anyways, it’s cool to see how popular your Pokémon channel is! That gives me motivation to keep posting Pokémon videos of my own and original ones at that unless I later stumble across a video from someone else who already did what I set out to do. Balls out!

This seems easy. Just boot up x or y, put your boy in the day care, than head on over to the tower in the main city, and just tape the stick down on your bike overnight. Does anyone even understand what I just said? Someone gets it.

4:28 I remember reading that the Daycare in Gen I acts differently to later Daycares - and more than just accepting only one Pokémon.
I think total EXP gained is cut back to the absolute minimum needed to reach a particular level when the Pokémon's withdrawn; for example, if a Pokémon has 32240 EXP to reach a level, but currently has 32264 in the Daycare, once withdrawn it'll be back to 32240. The extra EXP isn't maintained.
I had a Daycare Level 100 Ditto and a second one Level 68 in Platinum I think.
While I was celebrating my birthday, you were leveling up a Jigglypuff in that game, 10th of May was the day

this is super easy in black and white ( also black and white 2 ) step 1 : put your pokemon in the daycare . step 2 : fly to nimbasa city . step 3 : go inside gear station and walk forwards one step so theres no npcs in your way . step 4 , jam the tip of a stylus or pen / pencil under the circle pad . step 5 : put something on the b button to hold it down . step 6 : wait for your pokemon to reach level 100

I did this by accident in generation 6. While masuda method shiny hunting for shiny Ninetales over 2 1/2 years, one parent was level 100 and the other was level 99. I'm almost positive the mechanics are different from gen 1 but it puts perspective on how long I hunted.

Did this in Pokemon black with the subway I think? Some area that you only have to hold right, and you go in a circle. I put a heavy cup one the b and right button, and then went to sleep and left it on for like, 2 days straight. Worked perfectly.
