You are killing it with the challenges this month! Well done!
Glad you are having such a great Victober🎉🎉
How’s yours over all, Penny? ♥️
It's good... I'm not in love with anything but Man and Wife is starting to lean that way. I'm reading the Picture of Dorian Gray right now and while I love the writing, I'm still undecided about the story. I'm reading a Gaskell short story on Thursday and I'm excited for that.
@@Thecatladybooknook_PennyDawww! Sorry that you’re not loving anything yet! Still a few weeks left! 😍♥️
I’m loving Aurora too!
I’m going to look for John Ruskin fairy tales!!
Canterville 🥰🥰
I tried Grace of Wild Things but set it aside because I just wasn’t in the mood for it.
Good to know, Deea
I bought The Way We Live Now a couple months ago, I definitely need to read it! I love hearing about everything you've read/are reading, and I'd never heard of Victober till the past few months! - Mattie
Hi Mattie! Victober is wonderful! Have you read Anthony Trollope before?
@@amyofhearthridge I've read the first two books in the Chronicles of Barsetshire, but that was a really long time ago 😁
Love your update! I really enjoyed Nothing Else But Miracles! That Eva Ibbotson looks so fun! So far in Victober, I have finished The Rector and The Doctor's Family by Margaret Oliphant and Adam Bede by George Eliot (loved!!). I'm having a dilemma now. I have Uncle Silas checked out from the library but someone has it on hold! Should I just return it, put it on hold, check it out again and read it after Victober or should I return it and read it on ebook? Or should I return it and read something else instead?? ACK
Aww! Yeah, I get it! I’m getting to the point where I just want to focus on a few that I’m enjoying and set aside my other massive pile of possibles. I’m not sure I’m loving Woman in White. 😢🤷🏻♀️ Did you like it?
@@amyofhearthridge Yeah, I need to do that too! I have four books I want to finish now this month: Orley Farm, Man and Wife, The Doctor's Wife, and The Return of the Native. We'll see how it goes! ha!
Anne of Green Gables with witches? I’m intrigued too.
Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read. Isaiah 34:16
Aurora Leigh sounds intriguing! I'm also interested in A Most Agreeable Murder! I have to read The Canterville Ghost!
Oooo! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on any or all that you get to! I’m loving shorter Victorian picks.
