A Place to Hang the Moon is one of my favourite middle grade novels! So cozy and heart-warming! North and South 😍😍😍 Dynevor Terrace was so goooood!! Although KL wasn't a favourite I'm so glad we read it with as a group!
Hi Amy! I missed this video-probably because I was in my editing hole when it came out! We really want to read A Place to Hang the Moon! It has been on my mind a while. My son loved The Penderwicks. I have to agree about the cover for North and South! Thank you so much for the chat about The Four Graces! have been so wondering about it!
I wholly agree with you on Jane Eyre, Rochester is not the character that shines for me in that book! Jane and some of the cast around her are what I love about it, particularly Jane's humour that pokes through at times and that kind of thing. Oooh you're making me want to do a reread, it's been a long time 🤩
It's taking me three days to finish this video (I know you can relate! Life is busy when starting the homeschool year!), but I need to say that your cover of North and South is gorgeous! 😍
Great seeing you Amy. I'll look up The Penderwicks and The Four Graces. In June I read and five stared Gentian Hill for the Historical Fiction Readathon. My Jane Austen July read was Mansfield Park which I also five stared. Then I participated in Garb August. Where I continued my current contemporary romance series The Lake shore Chronicles which is always five stars. Typically I read sweet and implied romance. Occasionally I like a pinch of spice. Susan Wiggs is a great author for that.
Yay! Happy to see a video from you! I need to read A Place to Hang the Moon. I've just started The Wife and am having lots of mixed feelings. I will be interested to see where the story goes. I completely agree with you that it is emotionally a lot!
I loved Vittoria Cottage, Amberwell , but I think you’d get a kick out of Mrs. Buncle’s Book! It’s funny. You can get it for Kindle. I’ve heard great things about the Mrs. Tim series, too, but haven’t read them yet. 😁♥️
I love how eclectic your reading is, Amy! I never know what books you're going to talk about. 😆 I love your copy of The Four Graces! You have so many good books here! I'm going to be reading Jane Eyre for the third time in November. I can't wait! Kristin L is so complex. I am still processing it after several years!
Good to see you! Last night I finished a book I've owned for at least a decade and I finally finished it. The woman knew Booker T. Washington andhe was a bit of an arrogant man towards this one woman. He just coldn't be bothered. But the woman never spoke badly about him. Does the book mention Booker raising money for a YMCA?
The Four Graces is one I need to get to. You read so many of my favorites!

Aaaaaaand, I’m so happy you were able to track down The King’s Daughter, and that you loved it!!
I enjoyed buddy reading with you on several books this summer!
Great chatty video, Amy! And I loved the frogs and crickets in the background-so cozy and ambient!

Where would you recommend starting with D. E. Stevenson? She's nearly impossible to find here so I want to make sure I'm grabbing a good one to start.

I don’t remember anything about the YMCA! But I read it in June so 😅! That’s interesting about Mr. Washington’s acquaintance! 😮😞
Get your Life Back sounds helpful. Oh, I need to reread Jane Eyre. The Four Graces sounds good. You had me at tea table. 🫖 😊
Yes, all such good reads! I loved The Four Graces, felt like I was relaxing at their home. ♥️
