Happy New Year Amy!! I hope 2024 brings nothing but joy and blessings to you and yours! I can't wait to read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peal Pie Society!! I loved The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax!!
This is so fun!! I love your chatty videos. I've really enjoyed the Miss Silver mysteries I've read. I'll have to check out The Catherine Wheel! Julie sounds really good too! Mr Toots! 🤣 Your earrings are adorable! I'm starting the new year off with The Age of Innocence, The Mill on the Floss, and Emma M Lion Vol 1. Quite a mix!
@@amyofhearthridgeThat's good to know about Mill on the Floss! I'm a little nervous, but I like it so far. George Eliot is such an insightful writer. I can't wait to hear what you think of Emma when you get to it!
Love the conversation! You nailed it with Julie. It would have been nice to know her family more fully, especially since her mom carried so much of the weight. Thanks for reading with me. I just started Hind's Feet on High Places. I'm not a big allegory girl, but it's been recommended to me so many times that want to read it. I also have Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha by Roddy Doyle on the go, and a book of Robert Frost's poetry - same edition as you. The earrings . . . So cute!
@amyofhearthridge I can do that, assuming I read more of them. I'm moving pretty slowly! 🤣 Voxer is good. That's a great lesson to prepare! Have you read any Roddy Doyle before?
Oh I bet Guernsey etc would be fantastic on audio although I don't usually like audio. Miss Newbury's List (I think that's what it's called?) sounds fun. I love a good Regency!
The Girl from the Other Side is a great manga.... it's a very very sweet relationship. He is super protective of her.... BUT the very last one or two went kinda dark/ weird.. like dark fairy tale. Just for anyone else wanting to read it.
Happy New Year Amy. I'm you're namesake and a new subscriber. We have similar reading tastes. I'm a mainline Christian too. Julie and Miss Newberry's List are going on my TBR. I'm currently reading Mariana by Susama Kearsley.
Enjoy your channel which I can finally catch up on...THANKS!!
Happy new year! Love your videos ❤
Yay! Thank you!

@@amyofhearthridge By chance have you read any sweet Medieval romance?
@@amy8458hmmm, let me think on that. I did love the sweet Beauty & Beast retelling Belle by Cameron Dokey a lot! It felt medieval-ish.
Do you like fantasy? Or not? 😅
@@amyofhearthridge Yes, your kind. low world building and I love historical and myth.
