My first RC about 10 years ago was a Kyosho ZaBoon buggy. Still got it around but needs work. This RC looks truly great, I’m very impressed! May have to check out their catalogue again :)
I have this same exact Rally Car. I got mine setup for 2S lipo Only & it does 51mph on Radar with the gearing being 46/25, & a 4600kv sensord brushless Motor.. ;-)
Kyosho has been around since Oct 1963 and was one of the first "remote control" cars to the market. The DRX VE look really solid with 1/8th scale parts.
Thanks Justin! I will do an SCT vs Kyosho DRX VE comparison soon. All of the different scales really confuse people. The DRX is quite large for it's scale
I own a Kyosho DMT VE-R and have loved it,has got the same internals as this and honestly can`t fault it. Been looking for more of a road going rc and now i think i have found it. thanks for the vid, will be waiting for some running time. 5*
Cool deal! It's a great Rally and really put it through more than what a rally car should do! The spot is off of Regency and Lake forest dr. in Lake forest. Fun spot! Thanks for watching!
Great video and beautiful car. I was reading last night that many owners add the side skirts from the buggy and even cut mod the buggy body underneath the rally body. Do you see a need for either option? I have just ordered my own. As for the Ken Block comparison, this car is actual true 1/8th scale. It has the parts that support it. The Ken Block is nice, but with 10th scale parts I question durability.
You know, the side skirts would help with the parachute effect, but really, I don't plan to jump this RC. Rally is more about asphalt and dirt roads vs jumping
I've heard good and bad about these. I know some of the guys running them love em. But I've heard a few people prefer the H.P.I. WR8 or the Traxxas over this one. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on it.
Hey Tricky! I have driven a WR8 and own a Slash 4x4 LCG. The Kyosho is in a different league. I should have running footage up soon and will do an after run review of the DRX VE. Stay tuned!
Yeah, the original cowling was a smoke color and you couldn't really see in too well. The clear helps! I've heard issues about the Hex dogbones, but just heard, never seen an issue. To me, they should be stronger than round stock
Anybody thats into this great Rc world gotta know whats up with kyosho, me myself I give respect to kyosho for they got some of the finest Rc, btw I like the Syncro pistol very nice looking and 9scale rally with orion comp should haul ass haha
Great video but i wanted to ask have u found any aluminum parts for it besides chassis? Maybe iam not looking hard enough but thanks if u have any info great video
Billy Sanchez There's not much available if any. I found this place a while back: @703 Not sure of who makes the parts, but they look good. Some are specified as DRT (Maybe Nitro?)
Thanks for the quick response looking to get this car but wanted a good opinion from someone who has one and has more experience then I. Thanks and keep up the great vids
Pretty odd....I sold this to someone on eBay many years ago...turns out, that person sold it to a good friend of mine. My buddy didn't even know I owned it! lol
Rich I just bought the kyosho demon and love the car..are the wheels and tires one of a kind or will 1/8th size work? you have great videos by the way!
Hi rc network...I understand this is a pretty old video, however I have noticed this vehicle still being sold kyosho's website. I am purchasing this over the new traxxas Ford Fiesta which only has a bushed motor...is the build quality of this model durable? Fast?
vastbadger it’s a great rally car and pretty fast! The main difference is being able to get parts/upgrades vs Traxxas. But yeah, I would pick this over the Fiesta. This is more comparable with the Traxxas Rally (based on the Slash 4x4)
As much as I have beaten this Rally car, the only thing I needed was a new front foam bumper! I ordered it from Nitrohouse, as they can pretty much can order anything Kyosho.
I was gonna get this till u showed us the exposed spur that is a terrible idea it does not allow derby to fall out it lets it get in I have an rc with an exposed pinion and I go through 6 to 8 pinions every time I run it off road and on road misty on road I've since retired it because of this
If you watch my running video, the open spur (although covered by the included lexan cover) is fine. You're also running mod one gears, so not much can destroy those. Also gotta have the right gear mesh.....
My first RC about 10 years ago was a Kyosho ZaBoon buggy. Still got it around but needs work. This RC looks truly great, I’m very impressed! May have to check out their catalogue again :)
Thanks for watching, Chris! It really looks solid

Nice!
Super trick looking rally car and a pretty sweet price for it. they packed some goodies in there
Thanks Johnny! Yeah, I wanted a Rally and the Kyosho was the best that I looked at (Traxxas, HPI and a couple others)
I wouldn't even compare the kyosho to the other brands. the package that kyosho gives you out of the box. is top notch
Looks killer. That electronics over tray is a nice feature.
Thanks Ryan! The Kyosho DRX VE is pretty tough. It's built like an 8th scale and the tray does work pretty good
I am not familiar with Kyosho but I do like what I see in that DRX VE ONE 11 Rally Car. Thanks for sharing.
Kyosho has been around since Oct 1963 and was one of the first "remote control" cars to the market. The DRX VE look really solid with 1/8th scale parts.
Very cool, I'm liking the larger 1/9th scale size. That car looks damn awesome :o
Thanks Justin! I will do an SCT vs Kyosho DRX VE comparison soon. All of the different scales really confuse people. The DRX is quite large for it's scale
The RCNetwork Sweet, look forward to seeing it!
The RCNetwork I am really looking forward to that too!
Cool video as always, can't wait to see the run video. That body looks sick!
Just ran it today. Video is being edited as we comment!

The Kyosho DRX VE is a great platform. You just gotta choose which body!
excellent unboxing-review bud....its an awesome rally car indded....amazing rally driving characteristics, thumbs up, cheers!!!
Thanks Manos! I've got one pack through it on asphalt. Now on to the dirt!
Could you make a running video of this, that'd be great. :)
Already shot the running vids and final review on it. Just working on the editing of the running vids! Should debut later part of next week
Glad I bought it ,, Now i know how the bumper tore,,a pretty durable ride....Thanks Rich....I going to have to find that spot to drive it ...
Cool deal! It's a great Rally and really put it through more than what a rally car should do! The spot is off of Regency and Lake forest dr. in Lake forest. Fun spot! Thanks for watching!
Checkout Kyosho's newest Rally Car unboxed at The RCNetwork!
Great video! Enjoyed the detail you went into with the unboxing.
Thanks Tim! The Kyosho looks and smells great!
I got a kick out of your comment on the "new tire smell". You're right, nothing beats it.
great vid, nice car
Thanks Jay!

Digging the clear cowlingKyosho should have updated all the dog bones there hexagonal Allen key stock they twist like pretzels!!!

Thanks SoCal! Yep, gotta give it up for Kyosho!
:)
:D nice
please where´s the 22sct runnig video .-. , it would be awsome to see it running with all those upgrades :)
I've only been able to hit the track twice wince it was finished, and the second time, it was a fresh clay track change (so NO traction!)
that sounds even better, DRIFTIIINNG ;P
Great video but i wanted to ask have u found any aluminum parts for it besides chassis? Maybe iam not looking hard enough but thanks if u have any info great video

Very cool, a lot of car for the money.
I agree
Pretty odd....I sold this to someone on eBay many years ago...turns out, that person sold it to a good friend of mine. My buddy didn't even know I owned it! lol
Can you do a collection video
I've been asked a few times, but I can never seem to have all the RC's in one place!
Rich I just bought the kyosho demon and love the car..are the wheels and tires one of a kind or will 1/8th size work? you have great videos by the way!
Thanks Leon....These are slightly smaller than SCT wheels/tires. Yeah, somewhat unique

The RCNetwork thank you :)
The RCNetwork sorry to bug you again but were you able to clock in mph on a 3s lipo?
running vidoe plz
Soon, patience.....
I really want one of these but I hear part support is almost nothing
As much as I have beaten this Rally car, the only thing I needed was a new front foam bumper! I ordered it from Nitrohouse, as they can pretty much can order anything Kyosho.
I SMELL IT!!! haha
Nothing like the smell of "New RC"!!!
ya buddy agree 100%
garagemodz1 New RC smell of fun to me
yup
car looks closer to a ds3 then a impreza
I cant afford this :(
How much are one of those?
Amain has the other versions (Subaru Impreza, Ford Fiesta) for $399. This One11 version is starting to trickle out to the sites now
check out are videos
It looks cold where you live!
Maine. It is cold
It was 90 degrees in SoCal this past weekend. I feel guilty!
I was gonna get this till u showed us the exposed spur that is a terrible idea it does not allow derby to fall out it lets it get in I have an rc with an exposed pinion and I go through 6 to 8 pinions every time I run it off road and on road misty on road I've since retired it because of this

Then get a nitro version
What is the maximum speed?
45-50ish out of the box on 4s
where can i buy
You'll have to google that up....it was a limited release, but there should be regular DRX's available out there as well
Where did you get these money from? I can see that you kept on buying rc staffs, rtr & kits!!!!
