Thanks. Having already revealed the hook and eye connection on the back side of the seat, I did assume that the starting point would be the front edge of the "bench". But, I was not prepared for the amount of effort required to release the two (I assumed three) latch points at the front edge. Your surprise at having yanked the first plastic anchor point out of its presumed permanent residence was very reassuring. Now, my incentive for engaging in this effort was to improve on the stability and dependable location of the two left central seatbelt latches. So, I was disappointed that you did not demonstrate your method of preparing the unsupported and flopping seatbelt latches prior to reinstalling the bench. Thanks again for your very useful instruction.
You uploaded this a few years ago, but it was just what I needed right now. Not to retrieve lost items but to get to the liquid muck that ran out of the bags of mulch I hauled home from Lowe's. Yuck, but at least with this info I was able to get to it so mold doesn't start. Thank you!
Excelent How to video, I have seen tons of videos on how to remove the back seat on toyota sedans but non of them as detail and well explained likes this regardless of the lack of editing on the video which I personally don’t need. Five stars to this guy. Thank you.
Popping that bottom part of the seat, Nikki D first puts a flat bladed screw driver into the plastic retainer ~ rotates the flat blade up / down ~ Then pops the seat bottom up.
Thanks for the video. I am interested in doing this to make extra space for gear storage, however I worry about having the hybrid battery and other parts exposed. Would it be easy to damage or steal?
Is it possible to remove just the right side of the top part of the seat without removing the bottom part? I just want my bed to lay flatter so will put in plywood.
No need to pull up with up in the front of the seat with 2 hands. Just release the top part like showed and then pull with both hands up locating the hands near the 2 yellow foams (back part of the bottom)
Wait, I just got one side in by wedging the seat inward in case the angle wasn’t right and I hopped and pushed down with my knee and pushed down with my hands at the same time and heard the click. Haven’t gotten the other side though.
First time I ever gave any video or thumbs down. It’s seriously wouldn’t occur to you to hold your camera horizontally? Besides the fact they could barely lakes see anything and you get carsick just from watching your camera shake you could’ve put the camera down on the floor and seen the whole thing, however it didn’t occur to you that most people want to see you remove the driver side back seat? For camping and what it looks like? The whole seat… And then to see you break it I guess I learned something… I mean honestly I have a headache from trying to watch this
Thanks.
