What a player and good manager lucky to play under him for a bit at castle view he fell in training with us one night and couldn't get near him when he had the ball his first touch was something else. Well done tim and James great work ye are doing for the north side .

Week after week I watch the The Two Norries effortlessly create an ambience where their guests are relaxed and comfortable.
This felt like I was watching 3 friends being reunited and catching up.
Well done lads, keep going ❤

Dont follow football but I love hearing the stories of people like Patsy and his move of his sport and his community. Yes everything is hard work, the harder you work the luckier you get.

Well done to you all - really enjoyed this and I always knew Patsy would end up a referee because he was practicing for the 20 yrs he played not to mention when he was manager 😀. Thanks and as David said that was as relaxed as I ever saw Patsy in an interview.

Patsy Freyne was one of the most gifted players I have ever seen play for Cork City.He had everything and was a great entertainer on the pitch. The Story Patsy tell about the lads from Bohs coming up to welcome him back will tell you that other teams knew how talented he was.Even Gazza knew it and that says it all.Great interview.

Great interview. Patsy was a very talented player, loved watching him play. Great to hear him looking back on his days with City and talking about clubs on the northside.

A city legend. I remember going to football crazy in the city and getting his name on the back of my shirt that i got in Finns corner. I was at the ireland v liverpool game in flower lodge , pity they lost that ground to the gaa.

Very enjoyable. Have to say my only experience with Patsy was when i played against his son underage and he came across as an absolute lunatic from his antics on the line. Clearly a very passionate football man but more importantly a very decent person too. Well done Patsy, i know us Norries dont like to put ourselves out there but you spoke very well.

Happy days in Shandon View Patsy - nearly 50 years ago now.
I’m living in Douglas now, so stop slagging the Southside.
Patsy at schoolboys was the equivalent of Luka Modric - size wise and passing skill. A genius.

I’ve never met Patsy but my mum is his cousin which makes me his cousin. My mother moved to England from Cork when she was young and always stayed close to the family, especially Pasty’s sister.

i heard something before that people who play sports for a good few years will basically have a lot of extra adrenaline when they stop playing kinda like increased fight or flight response probably a big reason why you hear a lot of ex players having addiction problems and stuff like that
