Never saw anyone using a stapler on outside corners, but it makes perfect sense! Screws are much thicker and if you drive them in further, it deforms the metal corner. Great job.
U mast have learned your skills from the old master. I'm watching your effort after work, over few beers and I'm enjoying it. Always learning a new tricks. Love this trade , thanks for screening. 👍 All the best 🎉
Great job! Ive finished thousands of sf of board. I use mesh on the straight and bastard joints and paper tape on the inside corners. I like that you taped the corner bead. That's an easy corner to cut but then those who do always end up with that crack along the back of the bead. Great work brother!!!
I've never done drywall and am a bit intimidated by trying it. However I remodeled a house with a fully framed basement so it's the perfect place to try. You took the fear away!
Keep working hard at your career young man. Even harder at thus career path as a tutor. This way you will leave valuable lessons behind as you persue your dreams at becoming the best.
Hey Thanks for the video. I am currently doing the walls in my man cave/gym and I had to peel the tape off because it was bubbling. Now I have a better understanding of how to do it. Thanks
I need to work on my trowel techniques, you be whipping thru the work effortlessly giving all of the normal people like me false hope that we will be able to do it that easy! Not so, but awesome video keep them coming
Theirs a bunch of haters negative comments i dont like working with dudes with more than 50 years because i learned way alot more than a drywall taper, and this guy on the video thumbs up 👍🏼 keep the good work brother
Nice trowel work, it's all in the wrist. Mud work is clean, I've been remodeling almost 40years, you can tell when someone actually like what he do! If you need some work reply to my comment?
Need to know what type mud you are using for each base coat. Looks like you start off with 45 min. Easy Set? Did you use 45 min for 2nd and 3rd coats? If not what kind?
Plaster and joint compound arent the same thing. I know that all purposes takes a day to dry but it has an adhisve in it for paper tape to stick better.
I am semi-retired. I only do patchup work. When plastering on paint i use a wallpaper perforator it is a roller 100mm (4") long 25mm (1") In diameter Covered in spikes, I roll that where I am going to plaster. It perforates the paint and gives the plaster something to stick to. I like the rollers on the bucket good idea is that. There is a tool that is designed for top coating internal angoals if you cut it down to 50mm (2") It is a lot faster for typing. Overall, not a bad job.

Maybe I might be doing a good job I'll be in a plush for 30 years but I can't do it anymore cousin me hearts not working properly I can do little jobs Keep a good work out mine and you are watching your videos
Brought, you're so good at your job like. I love your videos, but how do you patch a hole? I think it is not as easy as it seems that you put like you're buying a gordo stores and buy those patches they suck
I thought I was the only one who didn't tape there joints. People see the cracks in the first coat if you don't use tape but I always went back with a second and third coat and covered them up and they don't crack no more.
You would look for a "finisher". Ppl still use the term "plaster" just like how ppl tend to call circular saw "skill saws" regardless of what brand it is. For residential remodeling though, the painter, and sometimes the drywallers, are capable of doing the "finish" work. Most ppl that are solely "finishers" tend to be in the commercial construction field more often than residential.

Young man I appreciate it this video very much I've always had to sand like a madman after doing drywall thank you so much for shortening the process
Have to sand a lot because of putting too much mud on top coats.

Plaster and joint compound arent the same thing. I know that all purposes takes a day to dry but it has an adhisve in it for paper tape to stick better.
I like to use a 6 inch tape knife and then
move up to 10" and 12" knife on 2nd and 3rd passes.
Tape with an 8" knife.Too much back and forth.y0uu🎉
@@GaryVelt I tape with an 8 too
@@GaryVelt. Nothing wrong with that. I will start with an eight sometimes on the tapered joints but i just like six inch knives over the eights.
When I hang drywall I make sure my corners are real tight and just use caulking never had a problem
Nice work
Where are you located

They make a new corner bead that is paper and metal. Been using it for a while. Works a lot better than just the metal. Dont have to nail it.
I like that stuff too
I'm a stucco plasterer by trade 30 years and I use a hawk for drywall mud to
I do as well I prefer that to the pan
I would love to work with you. Where are you located? Am in Ghana
Eres el mejor plastero. You hired to my home.

Is that fast setting mud? What’s the name of it ?
Do you use hot water or cold water to mix the compound?
I don't know.
Yeah i could never make it look that easy lol. impressive.
I’ll watch any video. I dot and dab would like to see a video on that if you do it. From the uk 🇬🇧
You work so good you make a Mexican jealous.
What all the tools you need to get a house done or what are the tools you use day to day to get a job done
No mesh before bond ontop then bond to fill hole ?
I alway want to do this job

To fill gaps and holes
Sauce Gardner can drywall too.

amazing work... that smoke detector beeping in the background must drive you insane :)
I think those are the rainbow lorikeets chirping here in australia they are loud as fck
I use 5minute and maybe 20 if I want to chill.
Never used 45 or 90
What's this kinda work called if I wanted to search for a job like this? Dry walling???
Tape a jointer, comes under dry walling. Tbh plastering a wall will have a better finish
In Aus theyd be under plasterers
