You are an artist. You restore my faith that there really ARE people who take pride in the quality of their work. We see so much garbage work anymore that this is very refreshing.
Great job man. I’m a retired plasterer and I can tell you were taught the right way. You use the same tools, skills and techniques as I did. Nearly makes me miss my plastering days…nearly 😂
I wish others would realize that terms and techniques are different depending on the country. A lot of people criticize you because they don't realize that this is how it's done in Australia.
I’ve never seen a mud man use a level to level his corner bead. But I have seen a lot of crooked corners. Bravo for your attention to detail and desire to make it precise. Well done.
Impressive horizons. I'm a GC and I've been in the trades 30 years. This is the second video that I've seen from this dude and I must say when it comes to hanging drywall and running mud he stands to be one of the coldest that I have seen. The man got skills. Keep doing your thing youngblood.
I've been a residential remodeler since the mid '70s and have never worked with a helper. I have always managed to get the job done with creative supports such as what you have shown. Great work!
Heck yeah! I install all my upper cabinets with a 2x4 and inflatable bag shim. In my option it’s safer than a helper holding it up. And no holes from a temp cleate
My father is a artisan in the field of house building. He has been building houses for 35 years and honestly, I can see that fire in your eyes that he also has, you guys arent simple builders, you guys are artists. B)
I’m a framer and have been for well over 30 years…..I really appreciate your attention to detail. Not to be cocky or arrogant but I consider myself one of the best framers in my area because I went to the school of hard knocks and earned my stripes. I went out and earned it. I take a lot of pride in my work in every aspect. I don’t believe in cutting corners or “it’s good enough”. Na…. I like to build it right and not take forever doing it. You are excellent at your craft my man and I appreciate watching you work and learning different tips from you. Plus you make me laugh from time to time. Thanks for taking the time to make your videos and teaching guys like me about your craft and what and how you do it. I recently did a bathroom remodel and when it came time to hang the rock (or as you say “plaster board” 😂 again I appreciated looking you up for certain tips. Thank you my brotha !! Keep up the good work and great tips for us that may be a rookie compared to you 😂. I know I enjoy learning all the time about everything from concrete to roofing to sling’n mud. Take good care my friend.
Agreed. I spent a lot of time learning from masters. I finally did my basement and it was gorgeous. Only to have to move for work to a whole new state. But that basement helped my house sell in one day. Got a top offer from the first showing. You, my friend got mad skills. I may have to do the bulkhead over my new island
I was a union electrician for 30 years. YOU’RE GOOD DUDE! I’ve seen a lot over the years. Take care and keep up the good work. And take care of your BACK. Pete
I am an architect and a general contractor in business for 42 years. Your craftsmanship is one of a kind. A masterful technique and a clean job. I wish you success and health to continue your demonstration of teaching techniques.
I love watching you work - a true talent. When working with drywall & mud, I am honeset when I say that from minimal experience on my end, this is as much an art form as it is technique. Looks incredibly simple in execution, but in practice takes insane amounts of finesse.
Great job young man, I’m an Aussie Builder - now retired in Senegal, West Africa…. I show your video to other young African guys to give them inspiration …. Keep up the good work 👍
Remarkable Framer. Amazing and highly experience. So interesting watching how you put on Stilts doing away with Ladders. Cut huge amount of time! Another amazing trick is your 'extra' hand supporting the large long piece of plaster board. Thank you for sharing your skills.
I’m in the states and it awesome to see a young man taking pride in what he’s doing the youth over here are so sad most of them don’t want to do anything but want a 150 thousand a year job.. We’re in big trouble
After watching this video months ago.. it gave me inspiration to make my own bulk head.. I'm in the middle of my kitchen reno. Bulk head and angles are on.. now the fun part to plaster it.. cheers unic
Im currently mudding and taping hvac bulkheads in my master bedroom. Its my 1st time tackling corners and damn its tough. My experience makes watching your work even more impressive. Keep up the great work and videos
I’ve been working on my fixer upper for years. My youngest kid has spent many an evening hearing me swear and sand as the drywall has a bump or something doesn’t look right... He sends his compliments to your skill set and said your a pleasure to watch.
Love the ingenuity with the wood pieces used to hold the dry wall. Solution oriented. We need more people in the world like this. It would be a much better place.
All my respect to a person that takes pride on his work. Regardless if you use screws, nails or staples on the metal corner bead, once you apply the mud it’s not coming down. Great job 👍
I always enjoy watching someone else do the mud work now, especially when done with finesse.....I've done my share and learned how to do it right from a pro......I had a big job years ago and had some young guys working for me....not much experience with drywall so they decided to slap the mud on everything thick figuring they'd just sand it smooth.....I blew a gasket and they learned the hard way after spending extra time sanding it smooth.....these same guys are doing really good work for themselves today......
It’s wonderful to watch a craftsman applying his craft. Great instructional video, you pay attention to the small details and it shows. I’d hire you for work on my home for sure 👍
Man, I’ve been doing this stuff for years and that is the first time I’ve seen corner bead (baguette de coin in France😂) put up with a staple gun!! A “duh” moment for me. Love your vids mate, good luck to you.
If those are normal steel staples, they will soon rust and show through - making it an absolute nightmare when the rust starts to stain through, and the complete thing will need re-doing!!!
You are one gifted individual bro! You know your art very well man. It’s definitely satisfying to watch you work. It’s almost soothing watchin you do compound no cap 😂 never stop bro you deserve all your success 💪
How good is it to watch an expert in their field!?! Just beautiful work. Looks so easy but I know from dabbling myself that it’s anything but for a DIYer. Great vids.
Using blocks for hanging panels is a time tested and job site proven technique for a one man operation to achieve what looks like Magic from the outside perspective. Your a good dude and one HELL of a good hanger.
Love the framing! Love to see - nice solid and square. Here in my city the timberyard will cut those framing pieces to size at purchase for no extra cost so makes for a nice job!
I've found your tips on which compound to use when has actually been profoundly helpful. That seems to be one of the biggest things forgotten or missed and many just grab a bag of low dust and wonder why their stuff is peeling or cracking in a year. Thank you sir keep it coming!!!
Nice work man . I personally like using the vinyl beads for corners. They don’t get damaged or twisted like them metal ones and if a customer bumps them like they will moving in they won’t leave a dent in the corner. I still attach them the same way . With staples just to hold them in place so I can float them . Nice work man !!!! It is weird watching you measure in mm sometimes . It’s different but I’m sure you say the same about us who measure in ft .
I love to see a person that loves what they do. You are that person, so professional, precise, working with ease. Keep doing you!!!!! Oh, video nicely done too. I liked/subscribed. 🥰💪
It's nice to learn several useful things by a fellow craftsman who approaches his work with the mind of an artist and an engineer! Good stuff bro'. Keep on keepin' on!🤘
You are the quintessential pro, dear man! LOVE watching you work. Kept waiting for you to "join" the bulkhead to the ceiling. Wasn't until you were mudding that I realized you had no intention of doing that. Can't believe how COOL that looks! (Not to mention the way you kept the whole thing level and uniform) Probably has a purpose, too. Is it a vent? Needs that space for air to circulate? Anyway, even tho I don't understand what the structure is that you were wrapping in drywall, I CERTAINLY appreciate the knowledge, skill, forethought, attention to detail, confidence, etc. Your athleticism and humor also are fun to watch. I just bought a fixer upper. I wish you were here!! Lol. I watch a lot of DIY videos. I'd rate you as one of those rare MASTER craftsmen! Thank you for posting.
Watching your attention to detail is so amazing! Your work ethic and so much more that no workers do anymore is so refreshing and wonderful. Blessings from this new sub!❤
and you sanded the burrs off after you sniped the angles .. great attention to detail!.. Great mud work! sign of a good mechanic! future of good fortune of work to you!
I love your work! I follow your work. When ill own my house, youre the guy i call. I also love how you talk about your work, like an italian cook, full of flavour and passion
Excellent work! We use trim tex plastic products and spray adhesive here in the US. Not a lot of drywallers have an attention to detail in the framing, install and metal application/taping phase of projects like this and just try to mud things straight (which rarely works out cleanly). Keep it up!
not sure if the green color of the wood is what I am thinking, but here in the U.S. "pressure treated" wood comes with a slight green tint, but not quite as green as that. We're not supposed to use pressure treated wood for interior construction, because it releases some vapor from the wood treatment chemicals that is not good for people to breath. But again, I don't know if the green on that wood in the video means it is pressure treated in Australia.
Camera tip, turn your phone in landscape mode..?? However, l love your mudding work it looks smooth like butter. Great job 👏. I put a little dish liquid in my finished mudding so l do not have to sand after. Sanding to me leaves scratch lines that have to fill in with repainting. Again very 👌
Beautiful work, I can do a lot of construction type work from electrical to hanging drywall, but I don’t even try to mud the Sheetrock. I’ll leave that to you experts. That takes talent. You certainly have it and a great personality. Thanks for the video
Great job young man. You're obviously dedicated to your profession. Not many installers I've experienced have not taken the time to do the job correctly as you do. 👍

@Master_116. металлический уголок можно использовать без проблем, а если помещение с повышенной влажностью - то устанавливается пластиковый
I would have loved to have had a teacher like this during my apprenticeship. This kind of love for a craft is infectious.

The overhead compound application is not easy. Trust me, this guy makes it look way, way easier than it is lol. Great video
Yea, that crap dries on you really fast if you are not fast enough.
Yeah ... don't use 45 min non sandable hot-mud unless you have skill like the dude in this video. Stick to 90 min sandable products.
