    I have met a Navy Seal once I was serving in the military, in a NATO exercise. One thing he told us about BUDS is that once one is in, then, he should be ready to give his life instead of quit. If one starts thinking not to give 100% each time and don't willing to die, sooner or later will break and quit.

      I'm also watching this because i have applied to the Royal Marines, whats your training program looking like? So far im just running a few times a week and i go gym 6 days a week but am doing muscle building type workouts. I'm still unsure on what kind of program i should be following or what my routine should be?

      @@ClipsToPlease max push up x3/5min break, every morning. Running 3x/week with good technique, pull up 5times a week, max air squat ... if u want big result, just do max rep everytime, and follow ur evolution every month. Then work on strengh growing (bench press, squat, deadlift) and the same day work on push up/pull up max rep. 15 min warm up everytime, work on dips, swimming, jump rope, AMRAP burpees, and dont forget to stretch at the end of every workout.

    I think I shall incorporate the 3 weeks on 1 week off. In the past I’ve had trouble with being on a plan for 2-3 months with a deload week every 6 weeks and then I’d find myself being totally unmotivated and not being able to flip the switch on to go to the gym or workout.

    • @optimalreadiness
      @optimalreadiness 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have a really solid thought process regarding training. It is def smart to gradually build for 2-3 weeks using a linear approach followed by a deload. This will help you recover properly and facilitate long-term progress. Are you interested in one of my free training plans?

    In terms of timeframe, what would be your recommended length for adequately preparing for a selection? Is 3 months enough time to develop your strength and fitness?

    • @optimalreadiness
      @optimalreadiness 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello my friend, as a former operator and performance enhancement specialist, I can tell that this depends on the current fitness level of the individual. If your GPP is dialed in and you have a solid foundation of general strength then your last three months should be spent on muscular endurance and selection-specific training. For SOF, you need realistically be training at least 6-12 months out for best results. Would you be interested in one of my free training plans?

    • @optimalreadiness
      @optimalreadiness 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is awesome! Congratulations, my friend. As a former operator myself, I highly recommend that you get in the necessary miles for rucking in a gradual manner and be sure to wear and fully break in the boots and uniforms you will be wearing during selection. If your feet go, it is going to suck that much worse! Also, durability is key. Within the last few months, you want to focus solely on high-end muscular endurance and volume to strengthen and condition your connective tissue because you are going to be logging some very long and physically intense days. Are you interested in one of my free training plans?

      Ruck is a fancy name for a hike. To ruck, it means to walk with a weighted/heavy backpack on for a long distance. MET stands for Metabolic conditioning., is like cardo such as HIIT (High Intensity Interval training/ running fast for an amount of time, then go slow. Like run as fast as you can for 30secs then walk for 30secs.) There's a whole Pro's Guide to SF Selection on this channel. They go through further details there in the playlist.

    This video helped a lot ti make my training plan which ive been using for more than a year, it comong back to it, i still dont understand some things.
    In the column, theres push 1, 10-20 min workout, sprint and 2 other things, are there things you do in that single day? Or is it separated? I also do 1 training day, 1 rest day for physical prep(so abt 4-3 days per week) and then on top i also train everyday almost in combat disciplines like MMA, muyi thai and JJB, and run on a limited sleep schedule due to school, is it good? Or should i change it?
