Gave me goosebumps....."Don't f***Ing quit......so as long, as you don't f***Ing quit- you're still in it ". This is great advice for selection. As an older man, I can tell you it is also great advice for your entire life. Life gets hard. Circumstances can discourage the hell out of you and it's easy to give up. Don't quit
A lot of this stuff interlocks and feeds back. Example- good posture not only makes you feel more confident ("I believe I can do this"), it makes you *look* more confident to others ("He can do this"), who then *treat* you as self-confident ("You can do this"). *That makes you more confident in reality* ("I really can do this!"). The power of psychology is amazing. Took me years to learn that. Now I stand tall all the time.
One of the things that always gets me to either finish a workout or if I’m ever having self pity or doubt I tell my self that these are the moments that separate the SEALs from the people who want to be them. Who are you, it all comes down to that moment.
Fine… I did not expect that!!! Thanks, UF PRO. Mike congratulations, the video you created really moved me, you took me back 33 years, when I was going through my own training. I think you know that everything you analyze and explain has to do not only with the army but also the attitude we must have for our whole life, our work, our friends, our family. Well done again, you teach a life lesson in a very short time. p.s. I still workout 3 days a week and shoot every weekend in the range. At the end it is all in our mind, our age is what we feel we are. Never give up. Best wishes.
Hey man, thanks for the kind words. You are absolutely right, challenges are challenges whether during selection or during life in general.
