This will always be my favorite performance of theirs...no fancy staging or lighting, just the girls, the rain, and thousands of metalheads in the moment. Just amazing.
To see the innocence and youthful passion of these three teenage girls, combined with some of the most cleverly crafted music I've ever heard, connecting with so many people......fucking beautiful.

I cried when I saw the crowd. I was bullied by a couple of metalheads back in 2013 because I liked Babymetal, they kept saying they were stupid, now look at this: playing with Iron Maiden and Metallica, two of the bullies favourite bands, and doing concerts for thousands of people. While their stupid little bands never left the garage. Take that bullies!

Playing in the rain is very difficult and dangerous for all bands. On top of that, we BABYMETAL dance on the stage. In back of the stage, the managing staff were discussing whether we should wait for the rain to stop, or even cut some tunes from the set list. It was in such restless and nervous situation when we started our performance. However, thousands of people had been waiting to see BABYMETAL in the pouring rain, and it touched us so much. We might have to stop performing halfway due to the rain, but or so we tried to do our best under extreme tension. While dancing we often slipped and found it very hard to perform, yet we had no choice but to concentrate thoroughly on our performance. Yui, Moa and I said to each other, “Watch your step!” Even in such terrible situation, we just wanted the audience to enjoy BABYMETAL. During the performance I sang and danced thinking such various things. After the performance, I felt really relieved because we were able to finish without any accident or injury. It was raining SO hard during this.... like watermelon sized rain. I had no coat and needed wringing out afterwards. But I enjoyed every moment of this performance. Unforgettable!
Never seen rain like it! It was absolutely gorgeous that morning as well, then didn't stop slinging down all weekend. I got drenched, but sooo worth it.
Can someone please tell me why they bring tears I mean actual tears to the eyes of this 49 year old man when I watch their performances? I live in fear of going to one of their concerts and blubbering like an idiot.
I think it has to do with being happy. Happiness is a strong emotion and I feel it every time I here their music. It's their genuine attitude towards what they're doing that gets me too. They genuinely believe that they are going to make the world a better place with their music. I admire the hell out of that. One of their songs is even about anti-bullying. They are pure and untainted by the celebrity world. Their producer/manager, Koba-Metal, protects them from that and does most of the business side of the band himself. To make sure they don't become the next Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber (In terms of personality and attitude), their private lives remain very private from the public. They even still go to public school when their not touring. People in Japan are very well mannered and keep to themselves a lot. So they generally have a personal life without being shut-ins because of people mobbing them everywhere they go. It's quite fascinating.
I was there and I can honestly say it was one of the best I've ever seen in over 30 years of live gigs. I'm going to see them in December and there will be tears. They're the real deal.

The metal community is healthier now here and then metal elitist/critics (specially inside metal) But overal as we all age and generation moved we stepped in the 20s of metal with more young people that still have the energy and creativity to come with something new sure djent era 2010-2020 overused their 7string guitar of riffs it was litteraly anywhere Hope metal remains metal but that always finds it way to create something new for people to enjoy

This is my favorite version of Karate. The pouring rain just adds up to the emotion and lyrics of the song. Plus the crowd is sweet.. they stood there all wet and having fun and singing with Su. Yui and Moa not hesitating to lay down on the wet stage floor. Such level of professionalism. And not forgetting the Kami band.. awesome as always! RIP Mikio..
Ok.....how the fuck did she not lose a single note while singing and jumping and dancing around.....is beyond me! Do you even know how hard it is to sing a song while jumping or dancing? Not only do you lose your breath but you can also lose notes because your body takes the shocks of you jumping making your voice break! They are all great but Sui is, from a technical point, flawless for God's sake! I am not even going to say anything about the song because despite the fact that i like the song, singing this song live and do it that perfect is a feat of its own! She is going places when she get out of the band!
Su chan is still young,, doesn't smoke and drink alcohol,, and they have very high level dicipline for everything.. quality is very major for them.. ( the artist and the management and the crews ).. no wonder they get world level very soon..

everything about this concert is beautiful man, the rain, the whole crowd singing and enjoying, the performance and their voices, i bet they had a really good time, they deserve it after all
One of my absolute favorite Babymetal performances. I have watched this dozens of times and I never get tired of it. I know they have evolved, but it's good to be reminded of how much impact they had towards the beginning. They performed with such conviction, you'd have to have a dead heart not to fall in love with them.
4:12-4:23 might be favourite part of any live performance, the vocals, the shot of Su looking up while its absolutely pissing it down with rain. Just so so good.

Hope metal remains metal but that always finds it way to create something new for people to enjoy

This is my favorite version of Karate. The pouring rain just adds up to the emotion and lyrics of the song. Plus the crowd is sweet.. they stood there all wet and having fun and singing with Su. Yui and Moa not hesitating to lay down on the wet stage floor. Such level of professionalism. And not forgetting the Kami band.. awesome as always! RIP Mikio..

日本出身の音楽グループがイギリスでのライブでここまで観客を動員する事がどれほど凄いことか
さすがに、この人数は音楽フェス（笑）。とはいえ、ベビメタはイギリスでもライブし、結構すごい会場で成功させているのも事実。
今更ですがベイビーメタルでは無くベビーメタルですよ。
Ok.....how the fuck did she not lose a single note while singing and jumping and dancing around.....is beyond me! Do you even know how hard it is to sing a song while jumping or dancing?
Not only do you lose your breath but you can also lose notes because your body takes the shocks of you jumping making your voice break!
They are all great but Sui is, from a technical point, flawless for God's sake! I am not even going to say anything about the song because despite the fact that i like the song, singing this song live and do it that perfect is a feat of its own!
She is going places when she get out of the band!

Who knows, doing that throughout a whole set must be tiring as well.
kpop and jpop girl group members basically have this ability thanks to their rigorous training
Su chan is still young,, doesn't smoke and drink alcohol,, and they have very high level dicipline for everything.. quality is very major for them.. ( the artist and the management and the crews ).. no wonder they get world level very soon..
a lot of kpop and jpop bands lipsync.......Not saying that they are doing this here. But in general it is very common to do so.
They really should use this as the official live video of "Karate", when the rain falls at exactly the right time in the song? It's priceless. Even the U.K. weather loves Babymetal! :D
everything about this concert is beautiful man, the rain, the whole crowd singing and enjoying, the performance and their voices, i bet they had a really good time, they deserve it after all
One of my absolute favorite Babymetal performances. I have watched this dozens of times and I never get tired of it. I know they have evolved, but it's good to be reminded of how much impact they had towards the beginning. They performed with such conviction, you'd have to have a dead heart not to fall in love with them.
4:12-4:23 might be favourite part of any live performance, the vocals, the shot of Su looking up while its absolutely pissing it down with rain. Just so so good.
