The other day I came home to my chair on its back surrounded by 5 black office chairs! I had enough which brought me here on how to tighten it. Thanks again!

I pushed in my height adjustment knob and it locked the tension, now it's perfectly fine. THANK YOU!!!

I can't get tilt lock to work! I only have one lever to work with. I found tightening the tension was the opposite of what this video said, but I want it locked and I can't push in the one lever I have, which raises and lowers the seat.

Is there a reason why the seat seems to be tilted backwards slightly? From what I've read previously, I thought you needed to have a more forward tilt than backwards, or at least a neutral angle
WHERE can I get the pieces-/inserts or whatever they are called- that go INTO THE WOOD so the bolts stay in the wood? I need to make holes farther apart on my seat and put those inserts in them so i can use a bigger stronger mechanism.... where can I get those insert things to bolt INTO??

I have a similar chair and this helped me. Just get in the chair, tilt backwards while the lock is off then of course lock it into position. Even if the chair is already tilted backwards just tilt backwards and it should move forwards if the tilt lock is in the off position.
