I was born in the late fall of 1978. I Love Herman's Hermits! I Love This Song, Just A Little Bit Better! I Love This Video!
Herman and the boys really recorded a number of really good songs during their run. Another really great piece of the British Invasion.
Did a show on the same bill with Peter in '88 at the Puck Building in NYC, a benefit for a drug addiction center. I was too young to know who he was, but when this then 40-year-old man got up and blasted out "Henry The 8th," "Mrs. Brown," "No Milk Today," "A Kind Of Hush," "I'm Into Something Good" with 10 sticks of dynamite energy, all the guys in my band including me became huge fans. In the dressing room, he gave me some advice: "Josh, if you're going to go into the music business, get a law degree and carry a machine gun." A smart man is Mr. Noone.
This was recorded 8 days after I saw them in Atlantic City, NJ! What a show-I will never forget it. Loved their songs then, and still love them now. :)
I've been a huge fan for 60 years!
On this day in 1965 {September 4th} Herman's Hermits were guests on the United Kingdom's ITV network program 'Thank Your Lucky Stars'...
At the time the group's "Just A Little Bit Better" was at #21 on the United Kingdom's Singles chart, two weeks later it would peak at #15 {for 2 weeks}...
Across the pond the song entered Billboard's Top 100 chart on September 12th at position #64, four weeks later it would peak at #7 {for 2 weeks} and it spent 10 weeks on the Top 100...
Between 1964 and 1968 Herman's Hermits had nineteen records on the Hot Top 100 chart; eleven made the Top 10 with two reaching #1*, "Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter" for 3 weeks in 1965 and "I'm Henry the Eighth, I Am" for 1 week in 1965 ...
Herman, born Peter Blair Denis Bernard Noone, will celebrate his 70th birthday in three months on November 5th {2017}...
* They just missed having a third #1 record when "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat" peaked at #2 {for 2 weeks}, the two weeks it was at #2, the #1 record for both those weeks was "Stop! In The Love of Love" by the Supremes...
And from the "For What It's Worth' department; in 1965, besides "Just A Little Bit Better", there were two other Top 100 records with 'Just A Little Bit' in their titles; Roy Head's "Just A Little Bit" {peaked at #39} and "It's Just A Little Bit Too Late" by Wayne Fontana & the Mindbenders {reached #45}...
I love The Hermans hermits since 1965 age 9 when my older sister had a record album with this song on it !
Awesome Songs ByThese Guys, My Favorite Is Traveling Light , Thank You
Anybody checking out '60"s rock need to go through "Herman's Hermits" catalogue!!
what a shame this is cut short
peter noone was the only one who could make that snaggletooth cute.
I was ten when this was released. Looking back now these must of looked like little kids to our parents. My folks were not big Rock & Roll fans but they tolerated the music the way I tolorate some of the noise that comes out of my 13 y/o room.
The host guy with that hairstyle!!! The crowd around!!! The HHs!!! How not love?
Herman's Hermits Just a little bit better !!
Amazing group, beautiful music.
Always Loved Herman's Hermits singing Just A Little Bit Better
Golden Oldie..Love..❤
I ❤ Peter noone ❤

they just don't make sweet guys like that anymore.
Jimmy? :-)
@@rolandpratt403 yeah?
Plus, he’s So funny!
Happy music to me. Where has it all gone to ?
I love Peter ❤
one of the managers that handles a band i was in said i reminded him of peter noone. i considered that quite a compliment, but not then:):)
now we know where One Direction got their haircuts.
Nice comment but don't put One Direction in the same league as Herman's Hermits.
Herman is the love child of a Kennedy and a Beatle.
Herman ( Peter Noone) looks like a little boy here. He looks more adult after 1966.
mi cancion favorita de esta banda :) ouh ouhhh!
i think you have to value the moment and not judge what is now .life is a shit now but before was gr8 so remember the good days
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Savill. The monster Pea do neco
1965 Just A Little Bit Better by the Herman's Hermits.
That was the infamous Jimmy Saville??
Awesome song.... would anyone know what the "latest" effect is on Derek Leckenbys guitar during his solo? Could it be a ring modulator maybe?
I like the girl that kept looking at him at the start, but then she got push to the back by the other girls.
Same I like that girl
Of course Saville would be there!
peter you still get me going...corrr...
stop right there peter noone should never be compared to anyone else ever !!!!!
THE most boyish-looking rock star EVER
Watch the kids around him.
*IVO`s MAGIC WORLD* presents *MUSIC HISTORY GUIDE - FAMOUS BIRTHS* - *HOMAGE To PETER NOONE* - *70th BIRTHDAY, TODAY!!! (NoVeMbEr 5th, 2017)*
The host has such a funny haircut.
If you met him that would be the least of your worries.
Seems like "Herman" (Peter Noone) gets bigger as the girls get smaller. Classic clip.
Jimmy Saville should be edited out of this clip.
Oh Lord; I just realized that *that* is that Justin Bieber's hair! And the kids thought he'd come up with something phenomenally original and never before seen...
I definitely agree. Saying that he's the Justin Bieber of the 60s is like saying that the Beatles are the One Direction of the 60s... As much as I love One Direction... NO.
Don't you dare put One Direction or Justin Bieber in the same league as the Beatles or Peter Noone.
Who was the Justin Bieber of the 60s, Jimmy Savile?!
That's pushing things too far. A few people at the BBC knew about his activities because they'd witnessed it, or had heard of it from someone else. But none of them made a formal report to anyone at the BBC who might have been in a position to take action. They could have done, or they could have reported it to the police. But they did neither.
Nice little intro from Jimmy there 😂
cor blimie
LiE
Some of the girls mingling around look no older than 12 .
They certainly didn't do as many drugs as the chaps from Pink Floyd...and their music shows...
I think you will find that bass player Karl admits to being a very naughty boy in that era.
I read a lot of comment he's justin beiber of 60s definitely wrong hes Peter Noone, he is,
and the fact Justin beiber couldnt be peter of today ahahha too far
It looks like a wig.
Is it possible please to repost with that obnoxious nonce Savile edited out?
He reminds me of Justin Beiber.
He was cutest than justin Bieber.
Can we get RID of the First 15 second PEADOPHILE bit at the start, please.
He’s a very nasty man.
