    No, local population is not concentrated to the south because it is warmer.
    It has simply been the economic development, which has concentrated more jobs in those areas, which made the surplus popularized from agriculture to migrate mainly to south in the later part of the previous century. Agriculture become so much less labor demanding that people had to move from rural areas to get income from other industries meaning industrial towns grew bigger. And that gave then the opportunity for service industries to develop.
    For these jobs more education was required. Moving to towns for education started to become also the norm.
    There are also regional economical growth centers in the other parts of the country. All growth hasn't been in the southern coast.
    But looking from Lapland, everything seems to be in the south. Everything below Arctic circle is South.

    Hii Sister. Hope you are good? I got admission into Novia to study Automation Technology (Intelligent Systems). Is it a good course over there? How is Vaasa, what are the chances of getting a menial job there? My programme is blended teaching and classes hold twice a month, is it possible to stay in another city for work? Can I make my tution fee with menial job. Generally is Finland worth it from your perspective.
    Thank you so much, I await your response.
    Regards.
    Adeniyi.

    Thanks Nora, please are there menial jobs in the construction industry?
    How open is that industry to international students

    • @paulomoh8231
      @paulomoh8231 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, since there are competition in the south, can one travel up north during the weekends to work ?

    • @just42tube
      @just42tube ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There might be part-time jobs in cleaning construction sites and doing some other menial labor. Mostly everything done in construction needs some skills and qualifications.
      Why should an employer have something special for international students?
      They care about their projects and the productivity of their workforce.
      From their point of view international student is probably part-time workforce with usually only foreign language skills. It can be difficult, if they cannot read instructions and the language used in the workplace. But there are foreign workers and subcontractors etc. working in most projects so Finnish skills aren't always needed.

    • @just42tube
      @just42tube ปีที่แล้ว

      Fulltime international students don't have much time for jobs where there is usually fulltime requirement to get job.
      Service jobs are more likely to be possible to get working only part-time.
